(Q) help!!!!!! reocked the bootloader now problems!!!
#1. in normal booted os the power button works fine as well as down vol button. top wont work but ive replaced the vol cable and that still wont work. its a software issues I think.
#2. in bootloader I can use the vol down and it move the way the up should I go to use the vol up and it wont move. I use the power and it wont select anything. cant reunlock the bootloader.
im wondering if I can some how get it unlocked without the buttons. as I can get into fastboot and pc will flash the unlock.bin.
or 2 can I flash something to get the buttons to work right in fastboot.
what do you guys think is wrong???
is it a board issue?
I don't understand how it would work correctly booted normaly but as soon as I try to enter bootloader it wont work.
bootloader is not frozen as like I said I can move with the vol down button but cant select. with power but power works fine in android. thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!

try to disassembly the phone its to simple ,head up to youtube and search htc first disassembly and after you have opened your phone ,remove the volume keys flex cable and clean the dust if it has and re-insert the flex cable at her place and power up your phone to bootloader to see if it works

Help bad flash

Hi all,
so i did a bad flash and my diamond doesnt boot into windows, not a problem with the Unlocker Right? turn off and turn on holding power+down volume key+ center key and back key, it boots into bootloader but it just sits there saying LOADING... and this is because the internal memory wasnt being recognize by windows before the bad flash.
do i have any other alternative??
Hi, fear not my friend. Just boot into bootloader mode by pressing power key and volume down at the same time (If you press the center button also you will trigger a hard reset.) Then plug your phone on your PC. On the bottom of the phone screen you should see that the word serial changes for USB. Then just lauch any rom upgrade(either a stock rom or a custom one). The rom upgrade utility will the upgrade your phone like it normaly does when it's not bricked. It will just be a little longer.
you have hold the power volume down and press soft reset to enter boot loader
Hi
I have the same problem, I flashed my diamond with a bad flash, now it turns over, I try a hard reset, it works not so.
when I plug in the charger, the LED does not light.
what should I do, help me pls!
Here is the link where I downloaded the flash: ftp://ppcgeeks.com/Diamond/Users/Tobeychris/Tutorial/Diamond Unlocker.rar

[Q] Nexus One Bricked in FastBoot screen

Hi,
I have my Nexus One stuck in FastBoot screen. Today, my phone worked normally, but trackball don't worked, so I had to reboot phone. But when I rebooted, the phone started in FastBoot screen, and buttons don't work (volume up / down, power, trackball). There are 4 options (bootloader, reboot, reboot bootloader, power down) but I can't choose any because buttons don't work. Before reboot, when phone worked normally except Trackball, the volume and power buttons worked normally, so I don't think that all buttons are crashed.
My phone has HBOOT-0.35.0017, radio version 5.12.00.08. Also has installed a MIUI Spain ROM. I try to reinstall rom but I cannot, because buttons don't work in FastBoot Screen.
Do you have any idea to solve this issue?
Thank you very much
If it starts automatically in fastboot mode, it is most likely that your trackball switch is stuck down, because your phone should start in a generic bootloader and then give you the option to enter fastboot.
Did you spill anything on the phone or accidentally submerse it in anything?
Yes, it seems that trackball is stuck... I will try open the phone and clean trackball from inside...
How do i take out the trackball?
To take the trackball out you'll need to take the nexus one apart for that you can go check out the ifixit tutorial.
Hey guys, did u find a solution for this? I'm having the same problem here!!!! The track ball was my first guess too, but I feel the trackball Ok.

If it boots directly into the fastboot screen, the trackball is the only button you can press to get directly there on boot. I don't see it being any other problem.

[q] [help] moto milestone bootloop at android logo

I have a Motorola milestone (second hand) and tried to load a update for it then i noticed the following problems:
- boot looping at the android logo
-when i tried going into bootloader i get a blank black screen
-when i go into recovery and try to update using "update.zip" i get a EOCD error and another time i get a authorization error
WHAT TO DO????
Come on dude,
Just search EOCD error, I think you will find at least 15 topics.
You lost root, Nedd to flash vulnerable recovery sbf. You will find latest instructions on nadalbak site.
You can find site inside his cm7 topic. Milestone android development.
Sent from my Milestone using xda premium
i'm fairly new to the milestone side, the version that is on the phone is 2.2
Everybody's instruction is to put the phone in bootloader mode and connect to the pc but i only get a black screen and then the phone restarts hence rsd lite not picking it up
Put it in recovery and try to flash another sbf, it should work.
Trough rsd lite.
try that just now and still no response on the pc, and i know the usb port is working because i charged the phone
Are you sure your drivers for phone are correctly installed?
Explain correctly installed?
yeah so what about when i try going into boot loader and get a blank screen?
In the early development of moto driver's phone wasn't recognised by rsd lite.
I didn't hear of that problem anymore though. The solution was to reinstall / install drivers again or try on another pc.
Cable could also be a problem.
Are you trying to enter bootloader with the cable connected to phone? If yes try without and after connect it.
The cable isnt the problem, im sure of that and i tried on two other laptops but they are 64 bit windows 7 but anyways why when i press "power+vol up + camera" i only get a black screen and not black screen with other milestones?
I'm thinking thats the problem or reason why rsd lite not picking up the phone cuz its not in bootloader mode
Ahhh
It took some time since last used bootloader.
But I think is power + x for bootloader.
==== update ====
my bad that's for recovery
oky just tested:
it's power + up key from keyboard
now when i first pressed the power i got a black screen, so i pressed the power again while holding the up key .. and voila:
bootloader 90.78
battery ok
....
good luck ..
when this happened to me i was shocked so much , but then i got it fixed so yay
sigh was trying that from lastnight but no luck
Does anybody have a video to how this done because i'm wondering if i'm doing it right cuz i'm still getting black screen when trying to go into bootloader, i pressed "power + up button on DPAD" and then pressed the power button again but still black screen
While the phone is off, hold the up button on the D-pad and press the power button. Do not let go of the up button until the bootloader screen comes up.
while the phone is off? i can't turn off the phone because its just looping so i take out the battery then put it in and press up and power button so is that the right way?
Yes,
If it doesn't work, for pre 90.78 bootloader I think it was another combination of keys.
Google it
Got it all wrong, the problem was that a app was installed and then the phone was restarted then the looping start at the android sign
no luck, the ways i see is the same as urs

about the video:
found this on youtube:
bootloader:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjQcvg3Eplc
recovery:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3Vl9NbU6Ag&feature=related
if you enter recovery try wiping everything / factory reset and see if it get into android.
other than this i haven't got any other idea,
it is possible to reboot it with adb if you got a rom that supports adb at boot. ex CM7. cm6 and froyo rom not sure but this is a long shot.

[Q] cant use the touchscreen, boot into bootloade/ recovery,or adb?!

i installed viperone rom, after that i think it stopped my rooting? root apps such as setcpu would not work.
then i tried installing a new rom.. that wouldnt work got an error 7.
i then sideloaded cm11.1.3 and that gave the same error, so i tried cm-10.1-20130604-EXPERIMENTAL-m7ul-BLUETOOTH and that did work.
however the touchscreen doesnt work? it boots fine and the buttons work (volume etc) but it wont turn off or boot into bootloader (holding power and volume down)
since then i attempted to sideload another rom, but the htc one aio toolkit cannot boot me into either bootloader or recovery.
i now have a have a phone that the touchcreen wont work and cant boot into either recovery or bootloader. any help please???
Use OTG cable and a mouse. You can reboot by holding the power button for 15-20 seconds..

Need help entering Bootloader. Vol Down button is dodgy??

I just got an M8 from someone on craigslist and I'm trying to unlock bootloader, s-off, etc to Unlock the phone.
The charging port was messed up so I replaced it to be able to charge and use the phone.
Only problem is the VOL UP button doesn't work & the VOL DOWN button works, but isn't as responsive as it should be (have to push harder than usual)
I try to boot into Bootloader with PWR & VOL DOWN, but it just boots normal. I can't seem to get it into the bootloader menu.
Any way I can force it to go into it with an app maybe? or a different method?
Any help is MUCH appreciated.
While booted to rom you could try this...
Open a cmd window from you folder that has adb/fastboot files in it and type
adb reboot bootloader
Or if you can get to recovery there is an option to reboot bootloader
Or there is an app called Quick Boot in the Playstore

I'm not rooted, so Quick Boot won't work. I'll see if I can boot it using a command, but idk if that will work
edit- tried, no profit. maybe failed at it, lol.

Been a while since I used cmd to do so, I might have to reinstall the drivers and attempt it again, but it didn't do anything when I typed it and tried
Edit- Got it working, had an outdated file, had my fasboot & adb folders mixed up with which was new and which was old. Such a silly mistake. Haha, thanks.
Well, now I can't unlock the bootloader as it won't read me pressing the PWR button on yes...
Looks like I won't get help since people. Will open.this for the issue in the thread title, but I now have a different issue and can't open a separate thread for that problem since it's apparently a duplicate thread when it's a different problem. Looks like I'll wait a week for someone to hopefully read this instead of a day or two since my new problem is something people have faced before, so someone have to have a solution for it. Guess I have to go even longer without unusable phone with service.thanks xda. Thanks.
*SOLVED* Necro bump
I have the same phone, with the same issue, so I'm replying to this ancient thread with my solution.
All my buttons work in all situations... except in fastboot. The VOL-UP key wouldn't work there and only there. Not a problem since VOL-DOWN will wrap around to the top. The problem came when I needed to unlock my bootloader again after relocking it (for unrelated reasons).
In the Unlock Bootloader confirmation screen, I could select Yes to continue, but the PWR button would not do anything
After reading another thread about how fastboot is unable to manage multiple button presses at once, it occurred to me that the VOL-UP key was somehow blocking the PWR button from firing. So, I removed the back from phone (a non-trivial procedure) and physically disconnected the volume buttons by pulling the ribbon cable second from the top on the left, pressed PWR, and viola! :victory::victory::victory: Bootloader began Unlocking. :victory::victory::victory: Hope that helps.
tl;dr; After selecting "yes" in the menu, physically disconnecting the volume button ribbon inside the phone re-enables the PWR key.

Oh my god, what was the probability of us having exactly the same problem 3 weeks apart on a 5 year old phone?!
My phone enter in bootloader for no reason, then the power button was ineffective so I could not select any action... And all of this was because of my broken volume button!
Your message save me a lot of headache, thanks a lot! :victory:
