Hello everyone,
I am using a super old rom namely superbean rom 1.5 based on android 4.1.2 developed by zai89 and running on philz touch 4 recovery CWM base version 6.0.3.1
This rom is very buggy. the calling app and messaging app has stopped working entirely. i have formatted a lot of times and have installed the same rom from scratch but to no avail.
Please tell me which new rom can i flash ? The most stable rom is needed. Do i need to update recovery too ?>
'
Thanks a lot !

I'm sure I'm not the only one here who is not in the least bit dev-minded and is utterly useless at compiling/decompiling anything (tried once, ended up with a shiny expensive paperweight!), so I'm wondering if one of you superhumans could compile a version of TWRP to work with stock ROMs/kernels?
Personally, I'm using the advanced stock kernel with inbuilt CWM and am getting tired of having to use the volume + power buttons to navigate recovery. The TWRP DIY thread has instructions to compile TWRP for stock based kernels but I'm really not that brave and I dare say I wouldn't be the only one that'd appreciate it if someone could do this and post it. Any takers?
Uh it's already available on the TWRP site...

Using search is a wonderful thing
Also, posting in the right section helps. If you ask a QUESTION and want others to ANSWER it, guess where the thread should be?
And, siyah kernel is CMW based but has touch ability in it....
Thread closed and moved to Q&A. Development section is a place to post ROMs and kernels, not requests.
Hi xda people,
Just wanted to know whether any of the masses of different kitkat builds currently being produced by any developers are stable enough to use as a daily driver. I also wanted to know if kitkat roms have fixed the youtube stuttering/lag/freezing that I always found on the AOSP 4.4/4.3 roms. I'd try out the kitkat roms myself, but I for some reason I can never get any 4.4 rom past the boot screen. I just want to know if kitkat is worth the time I'll have to put in to get it to work.
Then amount of time you have to invest in trying out a new rom is not even close to what the devs have to put.. So respect, stop asking such questions and try out a rom, decide for yourself.
All KitKat roms as of now are facing sdcard FUSE deadlock bug forcing media server to go on forever with temporary treatment fix which you can find in the forum.
We are sharing the same fate with i9100, therefore progress on the bug report can be seen from here:

hi,
I need a custom ROM Kit Kat without bugs.
I currently have: CyanogenMode 11 nightly version
Bootloader = open
Please refer below for the best ROM
Speed, power, stability, no bugs
Thank you
omni rom
You can not assume that what is best for someone else is best for you! Please read through all the ROM threads and find what YOU think will be BEST for you. No one likes exactly what you like, or uses your phone exactly like you use it. There are thousands of variables that go into ROM flashing and usage. You will find that all ROMs are the best for those using them if you read through the development threads. If you are looking for which is most popular..they will usually be on the first page of development.
I'm using an older ROM that hasn't been updated in a long time and I want to get into a new ROM. I'm not sure what ROMs are good. I go to the ROM list and nothing seems updated. Maybe the list is not complete.
I'm looking for something that is as close to CM as possible, will allow root, and will allow xposed. I'd like something that has a good set of instructions too. I know some ROMs require firmware flashes and all sorts of other activities. I'm not even sure when I last flashed my firmware.
Any advice?

UPDATE: So I updated my OxygenOS to the latest version to get the new firmware since one of the ROMs returned error 7. It's working now and I'm just trying ROMs. I'd still like some advice on what you guys think is good.
There is already a whole long thread discussing ROM recommendations. It's "sticky" on the top of this forum section. Please read that thread, or if needed post to that thread. New "best ROM" threads aren't needed.
Here are all Pie Roms for our device listed:

All are good with more or less special customizing.
If CM was your favorite rom, then take LineageOS 16.0 for OnePlus 3/3T...
