Hi everyone, and thanks for the forum...
Some days ago I went to see live music and I made a video recording...As you can imagine, the music were loud. The next day when I played back the video, I noticed that the sound were very bad, distorsion everywhere...
I have check it again, I recorded another video inside the car with the music loud and I got the same result.
In my opinion MIC levels (2 microphones for both channels) are very high. As I don´t know how to fix it I have thought in the ENG.MODE. It could be the solution.
I have accessed to ENG MODE with code *#*#2846579159#*#* but I don´t know where to find the MIC level setting.
Could anyone help with this or with other ideas?
Thank you!!!!

Hi guys, I noticed that when I use video recording or Zoe, the mic would pick up some sort of buzz sound in a very quiet environment, which is annoying. This happened to both of my Ones, is that normal? Thanks!

Actually, this comes from the speakers, not from the microfone. Mic works fine, don't worry.
This 'buzz' probably comes from software issues, as some people reported that deactivating "boomsound" made it better.
I have no problem with that, as the audio (from calls, videos, etc.) usually hides it.
Hope I could help!

Hey! Thanks for the reply. But when I uploaded the video to computer and watch it on computer, there's still a strong background noise in a quiet environment. I am wondering if mine is defective or it's just how it should be.

Well, you could test another One (see what I did there?) to determine whether your device has a defective mic.
Or, that buzzing could be a product of the 'noise reduction' encoder/software that is being used by HTC. Could you upload a demonstration of the problem? Maybe on youtube. Then I can test on mine to be sure!

Hey . I uploaded the video on Youtube and there isn't any noise at all! So I think the player I'm using on my computer might be the issue. (The KMPlayer). So this shouldn't be HTC One's problem. Thank you so much for your help.
Oh here is the video. No noise at all on youtube. Very strong background noise on my computer using KMPlayer, and some background noise if played on HTC One.

Hey everyone,
I have the problem that the call-volume is very low. I've already tried different settings, but there is not really any help.
Does anyone have the same issues? When I'm in a silent ambient, it is okay, but e.g. in the train it is really hard for me to understand the other person.
And no - my ears are not THAT bad
Haven't really noticed an issue with mine, although not usually calling from anywhere that is too noisy.
yes i have that prob.setting the qualiser to bright and disabling speaker voice enhancement improves it a little. but still the call volume is low.
Yes i also feel its bit low... but not very low!
For me it's good enough!
When I have a call in quiet place or a noisy place like in the city or a cafe or something, I understand everything good
i have that problem tooooo.in fact i fight with my gf every time cuz i cant hear what she say ,any advice to fix this problem?can i change some setting and fix this?
It's not that bad! Try using the earphones
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app
:silly: using an earphone is not a solution.. can someone tell if this issue can be resolved using some mod/software?

Did this solution work for anyone? I am not seeing much difference, please help me if there is any third party application which can be used to boost the volume.
I've wanted to find out if there's a way for some time!
I connect to my car via aux cable for hands free.
But when I get a call I have to increase volume 7 or 8 steps for me to hear.
And then when the call finishes, I get deafened from when the radio kicks back in!

and know how to fix them?
thanks for the help
whenever i play music through my headphones using the 3.5mm headphone jack on my ta-1062, the music quality was very poor, it sounds grainy. the only way to fix this is to unplug it and plug in again and the problem is gone for this time. the next time i use it again the problem comes right back! it's so frustrating. does anyone of you have encountered this problem and what's the way to fix it?
i found out whenever i finished a call, the music quality thereafter became worse, is this issue related to phone calls? pls somebody help
hi xda are you so busy? no one can spend a little time to answer my noob question? i thought xda was a helpful community, but the truth is no one cares. disappointed
The community is fairly small and the people that understand music quality is even smaller. I have been looking into ways of improving the sound quality but it seems like Nokia has stopped including any sound enhancements in their products.
Before they had Dolby Atmos. It can still be put back into the phone but requires the bootloader to be unlocked.

no such problem
everything is working normal after and before phone calls
sound quality is good overall, with good headphones offcourse, and good music player like poweramp
you should try factory reset
Does any one else notice a strange noise that's very faint when playing back a video recorded on the phone? Can hear it more through headphones. Hard to describe. It's like a slight clicking or interference noise. Have to listen hard to know it's there without headphones.
Anyone checked theirs for me please? Need to know if I need to return. Cheers.
Im not sure if i understood you correctly, but i lowered media volume to 0, and played video from a gallery - couldn't hear anything.
BUT What i noticed earlier, when you open Camera app, and put a phone to your ear (like when you are on a call) you can hear some white noise, like a sea
It's when you've filmed a video on the phone and playing it back. Only when recording zoomed out. When you soon in it stops. Not sure how to upload a sample video. Sounds kind of like crickets.

Hello, I am with Huawei P30Pro Android 10, I just wanted to share my experience with you about the noise. I heard it, too! I wanted to record a very low noise from an amplifier (I was nearby the speaker, so the zoom was 1x), like if it has hum or some tweeting noise from the speakers when it is not playing any music and the volume is on Max. And then I have noticed the same ticking noise when I played the recorded video on my computer. I thought it is some problem with the computer. But then I played it on my phone, for security, and I heard it again, but I had to increase the phone volume, otherwise is not so noticeable. So I thing, when you have this noise, too, it should be produced somehow from the phone by video recording and it should be some kind of common issue, not only by your phone.
I hope this info help you. So, the problem is not only in your device! In mine, too, and probably in everyone's else!
Best regards
It's Radio interference. Probably from gps/lte/wifi antennae etc. Turn airplane mode, ticking is gone. You're welcome!
