I bought the Galaxy S5 SM-G900A AT&T and until the time when he was with all the manufactures, I reset and he was usually
update OTA (ANC1 to AND3, ,after leaving the root, I changed the "framework-res.apk" file to add the Portuguese
Brazilian and in time to put it in the folder, forgot to give the correct permissions, so he did not started
correctly. Thereafter, downloaded the files (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2714455) and did flash
the BL, AP, CP and CSC by Odin v1.09 and everything is working again, except the update OTA, still trying to add the
language, did this procedure (http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s5/help/rom-sm-g900m-t2806032) and it
worked, however, the whole system was also modified and did not update via OTA, so I tried again to flash files BL, AP,
CP and CSC, but this time it was not possible to flash the BL. Want to know how do to let the phone fully as manufactures,
doing update via OTA and what to do to put the Stock Rom SM-G900M (G900MUBU1ANG3_G900MZTO1ANG3_ZTO) via SafeStrap?
Thank you.

Hi there!
I have flashed N7000XXLQ2 with mobile ODIN as downloaded from SamFirmware. All seemed well until i got the NULL keyboard error. After *#1234# it appears that CSC: Unknown
Is there a vlaid CSC file within the N7000XXLQ2_N7000XXLPT_N7000XEULP4_HOME.tar file? How do I manually extract the CSC or should i try getting it from another source?
I am literally selecting the tar file in mobile odin and letting it do the rest....
But I have moved CSC which I think is part of the problem. If so, where/how do I get a CSC XEU file that i can flash in recovery?
Thanks!
I had all sorts of issues getting the CSC back when I flashed that ROM, flashing a multi CSC file and wiping from within the device (on a safe kernel, though I think it was risky even with that in place) that was the only way I could get it to change/go back.

Just extract the tar file with 7zip till you have 3 files. The one labelled "cache" is the csc. Reflash that with a safe kernel as above poster said as it will do a full wipe.

I tried flashing the cache.img but that did not work in both mobile odin and recovery. I have not used CWM though.
Just flash CSC with same full ROM file
Ope PC odin, select CSC tab, point to Full ROM file , leave rest of field as it is and Flash.
Note: This (any method mobile odin/CWM/PC odin) will wipe your device, as well you shud know wiping data is not safe on ICS.
Fantastic - simply works like a charm...apart form losing root but I'll just have to go and get that back!
Thanks,
John
If i get a null error from keyboard all i do is i just reflash the rom and everthing is fine again.

Changing csc won't erase root, just erase data only.

Just update.
I also done same as you mentioned to correct CSC error.
Phone get fully flashed since you pointing whole rom file under CSC on PC ODIN.
I lost root and rerooted again with PhilZ-cwm6 under ICS.
But this is the easy way of overcome keyboard null problem due to CSC error.
Thanks for direction.

Hello,
On my GT-3110, I am running ROM][P3110][Jelly Bean 4.1.1] kwbr Expresso, and I wanted to add an exit button to the stock browser by adding a line in others.xml in CSC folder. Then, I noticed that I don't have CSC folder. I searched and I came to your post.
I have the rom zip of ][P3110][Jelly Bean 4.1.1] kwbr Expresso. So, I wanted to do what you say. (flashing with CSC checked), but I cannot flash a zip file with Odin, it seems. What is the best solution to have a CSC folder? Maybe I am missing something basic...Can you give some advice?
PS: I looked in the rom zip, and there seems to be no CSC folder. So, I suppose I need to change the rom...
PS2: Well, I installed stock rom and backed up the csc folder and the 2 files, by copying them to SD card. Then, I installed stock rooted debloated and deodexed rom (which I found in the meantime, but which has no CSC folder), and I simply copied back the csc folder and the 2 files. Then, I edited feature.xml. As a result, I have an exit button in my stock browser now. I don't know what I did is correct, but at least I have an exit button.
If I power the phone on I can't get past the initial screen. The only non-zip firmware I could find came in the form of separate AP, BL, CP, and CSC .tar files, and the ODIN I am using (3.09) has all slots greyed out except AP. I tried flashing the AP .tar, but now I only get halfway through the samsung animation and end up on a blank screen. I'm thinking that there must be a way I can fix this via ODIN. Any ideas?
I was running 4.4.4 stock rooted.
UPDATE: Finally able to fix by flashing the "G900A_Downgrade_to_NCE.tar". Took a factory wipe after that to get it to run properly.
I rooted with ping pong root, followed these guides to do my "OTA" updates:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s6/general/g920aucu2aof3-flashfire-update-t3156221
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s6/general/g920aucu2aof3-to-of4-flashfire-update-t3181135
Then I used this file with Odin, to factory reset:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s6/general/odin-tar-files-sm-g920a-t3103835
Now it seems to have factory reset it but it says I have no IMEI, network unknown, etc....
I am suspecting that its something to do with those updates I did and flashing the Modem drivers, which maybe need to be downgraded now? or if i can update my software somehow with a legit version?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Gavin
To my understanding, the downgrade to OE2 from OE3 or OF4 causes these issues with the imei and such.

from what I have gathered... seems right.
so I am thinking now if I can upgrade to OE3, or OF4 in a legit way... then my modem will work again....
but If i use the upgrades mentioned on those 2 threads, those are pre rooted? so ill just be rooted again (but working modem)
correct?
My files are working fine. the problem is that you're trying to keep root and the modem you flashed is NOT compatible with the bootloader you current have.
Sunderwear, no problem with your files at all, I think the problem is with me.
I am trying to remove root.
How can I put a bootloader on my device that will be compatible with my modem?
I had the same issues. I ended up using Odin to go to OCE, then OE2 then I used PPR to root, and used FF to go to OF3 then OF4. Cause a BUNCH of problemt so I went to BBuy and had them force a flash of the full OF4.
You could always try doing the Odin OI2 files and see if that leaves you fully updated with everything working. You will lose root and will not be able to downgrade.
Well, depending on your desired outcome (rootless OF4, or 5.1.1), you'll have to do slightly different things, both will wipe your phone completely.
To move to rootless OF4, just download the Full OTA from the bottom of the first post at this link this is where things get different.
The next step is to reboot your device to recovery, not download mode (hold power home and vol up). You may see a updating android icon, but nothing should be happening yet.
You should now see the manual menu for the recovery, select the sideload update option
On your computer with ADB, sideload the OTA zip Do not unplug your phone
Your phone should reboot and you're now running OF4 while rootless
For 5.1.1
Flash the ODIN files with ODIN
Please note, you must be already rooted for this to work: I made the same mistake of upgrading to of4. Here's what I did, and my phone works just awesome and is still rooted with the Of4 base band.
1. Odin 3.10.6 OCE2
2. Reboot, at this point you'll have no carrier signal/data.
3. Ping pong root, install flash fire.
4. Install Rayman's ROM, Clean ROM, or Dennis ROM with flashfire (wipe first!).
5. Download the of4 root update here. forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s6/general/g920aucu2aof3-to-of4-flashfire-update-t3181135 ONTO YOUR PC. unrar. Flash via Odin the two files you unrar'd according to these instructions:
In Odin put boot.tar.md5 in the AP slot.
Put modem.tar.md5 in the CP slot.
Leave all other settings alone and click start.
Reboot, and you should be up and running with cell data and carrier signal.

Worked like a charm thxs
Hello
I have a question for you.
I have a phone samsung a6+ SM-A605FN/DS.
I installed XEO and everything worked.
Then, following this link, https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a6/development/tnt-jm-a605fn-ultimate-firmware-2018-t3882437
I went through all the steps except for installing rom.
I reinstalled XEO with the replaced file, using this manual.
https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/install.html#samsung-system-as-root
I did this step.
Reboot to download mode, and flash magisk_patched.tar as AP in Odin, together with the BL, CP and HOME_CSC files. Never flash only an AP file, as Odin can shrink your /data file-system if you do.
Important: Uncheck "Auto Reboot" in Options!
Everything went well, the phone is working almost well.
Unfortunately, the signal private messenger application does not work.
Unfortunately, only this application does not run. Has anyone encountered such a problem?
EDIT:
On a clean XEO application works.
After downloading from Magisk, the application stops working.
Hi all, I have this A71 that yesterday was working just fine, and today is in bootloop for no reason at all.
The owner was as smart as to keep tons of important stuff on that phone with no backup, so I have this request: is there a way to pull anything out of there?
I can access stock recovery and fastboot.
I am really sorry to hear that you can maybe try to install twrp and recover the files with "adb pull" or accessing the phone storage via a pc (you need to have twrp installed) i don't know any other way besides this. If i helped you make sure to like my response
Solved simply flashing different version of stock ROM.
Was on Andrioid 10, flashing 11 via Odin solved the bootloop issue.

hello did you manage to keep all your data? i'm new i found the correct firmware for my phone , i have samsung odin.... do i just flash? it states that i will loose all info
Yes, everything saved.
Got the firmware from sammobile, flashed with Odin and retained everything: apps, settings, data, photos....
Just be sure to flash the HOME_CSC file and not the plain CSC, or it'll wipe all.

just to make sure that i dont mess up my bro's phone... i would unzip the firm ware and choose the Home_CSC file and put that in the odin csc box and flash... THANK YOU LOADS FOR YOUR HELP!
I flashed all the files: BL, AP, CP and CSC, the latter using the HOME_CSC file.
Once I finish downloading the firmware! I'll let you know! What happens . this is my last shot at this point I tried everything !
Thanks either way for your help!
sadly it didn't work ... the bootloop is still there....
i'm now worried about trying the normal csc and deleting everything without fixing the bootloop.... i wonder if its a mechanical issue
