[MOD][APP][THEME WP7] [UPD 19.08] Phone v8f || SMS v1 || Camera || WhatsApp

Made a thread for this WP7-themed apps.
DIALER
This is modded LG Phone app (Contacts.apk) to look like WP7.
This should work on any ROM/Firmware, but obviously I can't test all of them. Not sure about 10E.

MMS (SMS)
This is modded LG MMS (SMS messaging) app (Mms.apk) to look like WP7. That light blue background is stupidly easy to change but although I changed ALL the color values that reference to it, it won't change
Anyway, not bad IMHO:

CAMERA
I modded the camera app to look like WP7 (stock one is ugly). It's the stock one, not another one [after testing some of them ,the stock one has the best picture quality].

WhatsApp ONLY DEMO, not redistributing it
Can't make the text white because I can't recompile WhatsApp.apk , but anyway I find it nice.
I can't post it due to the constant WhatsApp updates, which makes a popup appear to make you update the app. If I post the apk, it will be signed differently, so WhatsApp won't be able to update. And I can't be updating this app constantly and posting, and don't know if it would even be legal.
The maximum I can do is posting the modded visual drawables. You just have to drag them from the zip (do not extract) directly to the apk (res/drawable-hdpi folder) using WinRar or whatever.

Full WP7-look for my most used apps almost done!
I also made Browser and Google Search. But they are so similar to stock ones (so little to change) that uploading doesn't worth it...

Not possible. Freaking frustrating I spent more time trying to find the ****ty blue background (looked at png's as well as in xml's and nothing) than theming the app...

I really admire your dedication to this. If I could, I would defo help in skinning apps to be like WP7 - your work is by far the best - at least to me. Cant beat the good old minimalistic look.

This is a simple app for NOVA (v7 mainly) that lets you manually check and see the 3 things you can receive in NOVA via d2u interface, whenever you want in case you missed the message or you want to check if new themes are available. There are the 3 tabs for:
·Messages (sent by knzo)
·Theme Updates alert/log
·NOVA Updates alert

It's not the most useful app in the world right now, just a basic app that also intended to have an internal functionality that I'm not able to put.

Actually there is no v15. The file was created to be launched when theme updates (tomorrow or so). So no v15 yet. Just edited the updates.html.

If copy a link to the clipboard and paste into browser, because of the transfer line is obtained by mistake. In the place of transfer to a new line is added space character "%20"

Yes you can, is one of the purposes of this app in case you want to disable d2u (wich I love and I'm excited for, but I understand ot everyone will like the background service)

I've been finding a few solid apps that follow the Material Design theme and here are a few that I use
Music = Shuttle Music Player
Notepad = Notes by Jacob Ras
SMS = Google Messenger
Unit converter = S Converter
File Manager = Material Manager or Lollipop File Manager
Gallery = QuickPic
su = SuperSu
wallpaper app = Wally
Forum/XDA = Tapatalk
RSS = Flyne

For File Manager i'm using Cabinet File Manger.. pretty awesome....!

I use the Google apps, I've no reason not to!

Material Player for audiobooks is what I've been using. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles others do, but the dev is actively updating it.

There are a few apps that provide them on play and also some nice material live wallpapers

Believe me or not, google play games is my favorite.
Oh, and NexMusic for media player.

What about an e-book reader? Google Books or something else?

New CM file manager looks good and works better than others... Only Root Explorer is better but unfortunately it's not material...

Purely in terms of implementation of Material Design, I think the new Buzzfeed app is right up there with the best (even if their content isn't!).

Currently the CM12 is unofficially supported. I'm assuming that dev will take over for the official but I'll wait before installing it.

They left out a few cool things from the demo. Either it'll come in the next update or they just scrapped it.

Today Calendar Pro is, by far, my favorite material app.

[Q] Sync Facebook contacts

I have installed the Facebook app on the phone but under Contacts I am not seeing my FB contacts. When I go under Settings and Accounts, I see FB listed but it does not give an option of what is syncing. How do we sync contacts from FB?

I had to use an app called 'Sync.me'. Worked well.

I used to love Haxsync. My concern with that program is the developer stopped developing for it earlier this year.

It still works fine in 5.0, I'm using it now on my Nexus 5

Another vote for Haxsync. Has worked perfectly for me for a couple years now. Even on Lollipop

i use an app called contacts+ for syncing photos from facebook. It also has the ability to sync photos from g+ as well. I think it was featured somewhere in xda years ago...used to be contapps

Yes. Facebook removed haxsync, ubersync.and any other sync app permissions. There is currently no way to sync

That's correct, I was using Uber Sync and it stopped working. I switched to Sync.Me and everything is fine, except for one contact that is not recognized.

How Sync.Me works? It asks for your login info or it only downloads public data? By the way, does it shows full resolution pictures even when someone is calling you or only inside contacts/messa app?
I really miss HaxSync! By the way, what probably it's developer is doing on Facebook? Maybe if they removed the ability of third-party apps they will create something built-in to (greatly) sync our contacts.

Does Sync.Me auto update when the contact photo on Facebook is updated? I used to use Uber and that was really slow syncing. Haxsync was brilliant until it stopped.

With my Nexus 6, it's not true: not all the contacts are synchronized and also sometimes I got "com.google.process.gapps has stopped" after a sync.
Moreover, sometimes some contacts loose the name or the number... I want haxsync back!

Took a look at screenshots of timeline. I don't see a status bar temp, like what weatherbug does. Can you confirm there is no option?

there is no pay app on my device but i use pay game

I pay for an app every single time I like it.
Even if I'll just use it a couple times.
I'm old enough to remember when computer software cost like $100 each and that's back when $100 was worth like $500 by today's standards. hahah
So a buck or two for apps is no problem for me.
I just hate it when developers stop developing an app after a few months.
Or instead of updating the app, they come out with a second app and make you pay for the second app instead (Pro Camera).
But then there are retard companies like Navigon who want you to pay $40 for their map software when Google Maps is free and way better. And you can download offline maps with Google which negates Navigon's worth.
I also try to donate to dev's who don't sell their software.
And I'll donate to ROM or Theme developers fairly often.
