DotView Case activates when folded behind - One (M8) Accessories

Hi guys
My DotView case has been triggering the DotView screen just fine but this morning I noticed that when I fold the flap behind the phone it activates DotView mode. It hasn't always been doing this, and only noticed it after the HTC lockscreen update this morning (12th September 2014). I don't think the lockscreen app should have anything to do with the DotView activation, but that's the only thing I can point a finger at, since the magnet couldn't possibly have become stronger overnight...
Anyone else experience this?

Yes thats quite annoying... Mine stopped doing that a while ago... Im clueless

My M8 had these problems at first either. But finally it stopped somehow.

Ok, I've found that the metal sticker on the back of the case has fallen out...its probably the reason.

Small cosmetic issue - Sprint Diamond

I've had my Diamond for about a week or so now and after a few days I noticed a relatively minor cosmetic issue. As seen in the pics below, the button pad on the bottom is slightly raised on the right side. The buttons still function as normal. It's not really noticeable when you're holding the device during normal usage, but pretty visible when looking at it from certain angles. Are there any decent disassembly instructions/walkthroughs for the Sprint Diamond floating around? I found the service manual for the euro diamond, but not the CDMA Sprint version. I can probably do it myself, but it always helps to have a backup in case I forget how to re-assemble certain parts. I'm not sure it's something I really want to bother sending the phone back for or anything. I can live with it if I can't fix it myself.

Diamond service manual
Hi if you PM me your email adress I will email you the service manual.
Ken
I've got the normal Diamond (squared version) and it also has the this problem since the very first day, but on the left side of the panel (the home button). I checked a friend's diamond and it had exactly the same thing on the same place.
Anybody else?
I somewhat fixed it by just fabricating a small washer (out of a twist tie) that goes under the screw on that side, so when you tighten the screw down it pulls the button pad inward a little. It's not perfect, but much better.

Freaking dropped it!

But it took it like a champ. Brand New AT&T LTE 8.9. I was taking it into the AT&T store to get a sim card, and while getting out of the truck, I grabbed the box, but the opening was facing away from me, and the Tab simply beat me out of the truck. Face down onto the pavement from about 5'.
Thank GOD it still had the protective plastic still on the front and the rear. All I ended up with was a two chipped up corners.
I was sure the screen was going to be cracked when I heard it smack face down. First time EVER dropping a tablet.
Update...

A couple chips sucks but much better than a cracked screen. These tabs look to be pretty solid as far as i can tell. Maybe pick a case up that'll cover the corners.

Yea, doesn't bother me too much. I'm just very picky when it comes to my electronics. I like everything pristine!
i know what you mean. i can be pretty anal about mt electronics too. glad to hear nothing bad happened though.

Spen reveals dead spot on screen

I've attached a photo. Simply opened SNote and scribbled to show the area not responding to the Spen. At first I thought possibly a design flaw in my Tempered Glass Screen protector however I ripped it off just now to confirm it is not. Because of a unrelated issue with my wifi Verizon has replaced my phone once within the 14 day window.
I had this problem on my first Note 5 but didn't think twice about it because I was getting a replacement however now I'm seeing the same issue on my second one. Is anyone else experience the same issue?

Holy Cow.. Looks like I should have done a little more Google.. Looks like if you have a case with a magnet.. In which this case I do : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B011WD7WMM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00 it can wreak havoc with the Spen. Well now I have another case that is useless I guess.
magnets around electronics are never good

I have the platinum (best buy) case with a kickstand and it doesn't do this to me.
The company refunded me and said they were aware of the issue and have made a revised version. However the revised version still uses a magnet of which now I have no interest in my phone near magnets now.

Yes I'm having the same experience just realized it the other day. AT&T did it diagnostic they reveal that was a hardware problem
Just figured this out
Delete Facebook Messenger. Problem solved in both my phone and my brother's phone.

Overly sensitive touchscreen

Did anybody have this problem with X2 Pro touchscreen being way too sensitive? Like you can use it without even touching the screen, just hovering the finger ~1 mm above it.
At first I thought it could be because of the static on the stock screen protector, but it's actually even worse without one.
The difference is quite dramatic when compared to my old Nexus 4 (where you need to firmly press to register a touch), but not so much compared to Xiaomi Mi9T (which also feels way too sensitive, just not as quite as much as my X2 Pro).
Doesn't lead to ghost touches or anything like that, but scrolling with one hand is rather uncomfortable as it feels like your thumb is sort of "sticking" to the screen.
It almost seems like there's some sort of a glove mode on. I've looked through adb settings (currently using RealmeUI c26) and found these:
Code:
glove_enable=0
oppo_glove_mode_enabled=0
synaptics_glove_mode_enable=0
Unfortunately changing them does nothing.
Can somebody try this test for me:

}
If you put a thick stack of papers (e.g. 26-page Realme Quick Start Guide) between your fingers and the screen, pressing hard does it register touches? Mine does quite easily.
Not sure if it's supposed to be like that or perhaps I have a defective unit. Or maybe this is working as intended, made with the assumption that everyone puts thick protective glass on top?
Can anyone help me this? Same thing happening on my k20 pro.
Also can me tell me the commands you used to get the glove mode options?

Newly purchased - Small slit at top?

I can't find information elsewhere on the internet, so I thought I would confirm here. I just purchased this phone and where the metal border meets the glass screen at the top, there is a very thin gap. It begins just before the decorative matte strip at the top. It became more noticeable (assuming dust is getting in) the more I've been talking on the phone.
Is this the speaker?
upload a photo of it, personally I don't recognise what you're describing.
I just peeled back my case enough to look, yes that seems to be the speaker opening.

You have to zoom in. The gap starts and ends where I posted the arrows. I can fit a folded post it inside it by about 1mm.
All I can assume is that this is the speaker location.
yes I have that too. I had never noticed it until you prompted me to look.
thinking about it, it would be weird if nothing was there.
nice colour choice BTW

Yes I believe it's a speaker as well.
