I inserted an international sim card inside and there is no popup for sim unlock.
And I can see the signal strength.
Anyone else can confirm this?
This makes the D415 better. Best 24 dollars I spent just like the HP touchpad fire sale.
And comparing to my note 3, the L90 seems almost as good.

Once you pop in an off-brand domestic SIM, you'll see.

Moto X from the first sale arrived today... 32GB T-Mobile (not developer version). Right now we are on Verizon so don't have an alternate SIM card to pop-in and test and it's not currently connected to any mobile plan. #06# doesn't work at all. In the "About Phone" in settings I can see the 15 digit IMEI. A quick check on aio wireless showed it would work only with the 3G even though they do offer 4G LTE. A chat with their support staff indicated it was locked SIM to T-Mobile. Going to www.cellunlocker.net and putting in the info brought up that it was locked to T-Mobile.
Bummer... did we just get unlucky, or are others finding it locked as well?
I bought a T-Mobile one. Got it on Tuesday and popped my AT&T sim card in and voilá. It works. No sim unlock required.

If it worked at all instead of requesting you enter a code then it isn't locked.
Did you ever determine if the device did work on Aio?
My Moto X should be here tomorrow. I ordered the unlocked T-Mobile GSM one. I want to use it with Straight Talk. After doing some online research, I've found that in order to do this, I need to:
-buy a ST T-Mobile sim
-cut it down to a nano sim
-activate it
-insert it into my Moto X
-change the APN settings
and I should be good to go. Is there anything that is incorrect here or anything that I'm missing?? I can't seem to find a clear cut, step by step guide on setting up a T-Mobile Moto X with Straight Talk. Any help is greatly appreciated.
You set up Straight Talk like anything else that involves switching around APN values. The only thing thing I would watch out for is the actual cutting-down of your SIM card. You have to make sure that all the pads are lined up properly even more with Micro-SIM: otherwise you'll just get a Red-Triangle warning. Personal experience.

I actually bought an sim cutter from amazon because I didn't trust my hands enough to do it myself so I'm hoping that won't be an issue!
Been using T-Mobile moto x on straight talk using at&t style sim card for two months now with zero issues. Loving the LTE speeds.
I too used a cutter for my sim card as I didn't trust my shaky hands.

So should I have gotten the AT&T style sim instead?

You can use either since it's an unlocked phone. It just happens that T-Mobile doesn't exist where I live, so I'm forced to use at&t or one of their mvno's

I've looked around a bit, but couldn't really find a definitive answer. I was wondering if the Sprint Nexus 6 is unlocked just like the T-Mobile version and will work on Verizon if I put an activated Verizon sim in it? Thanks!
Only if you buy it from Google Play IIRC.
Okay, thanks!
Plenty of people have bought from Sprint and inserted TMobile Verizon ATT SIM'S etc. They are up and running just fine. Some reported theirs were locked when buying from Amazon.
I sold a sprint nexus 6 to a buddy on vzw and it activated with his iPhone 6 nano sim just fine took about 3 minutes

Yeah I'm hearing conflicting reports. The page on amazon says they are locked but I'm not sure lol.
I bought a Sprint Nexus 6 from Best Buy, popped in my Verizon SIM, and it works fine.
"Sprint version" is fully unlocked, that's why people buy them, it's just a "sprint version" because it comes pre-installed with a sprint sim, I would know, it's what I upgraded to

I received my Sprint N6 12/24, ordered from Amazon. No sim lock for me, working perfectly on Verizon.
Hello guys, i've got an LG G2 (verizon variant) on MetroPCS or Tmobile's network, it appears that because of that I cannot upgrade my phone to lolipop.
IS there a way around this other than flashing my phone and or obtaining a Verizon sim card?
Thank you!
I have the same issue, I'm using an AT&T Gophone sim card and I can't download the upgrade to lollipop. I'm going to get verizon prepaid on Friday so maybe then I'll be able to download it. I will let you know the outcome.

I'm on Tmobile now but going to Verizon soon but would like to buy a Tmobile g6 and unlock it. So what the title says, I know service will work but will I get lte through Verizon on my Tmobile phone. I used Tmobile in Verizon phones no problem and got lte before.
It depends on what radios the Tmobile G6 supports. I believe it has a sim card slot for the smaller sim cards verizon uses. I would google tmobile g6 radio and verizon radio bands and compare.
Also if I am not mistaken you will have to unlock the phone in order for it to accept another carrier. I believe if you buy the phone outright, tmobile will send you instructions for unlocking it.
Ok. I'm ordering the factory u locked g6 with dual sim. Hopefully it fully support cdma
I would also be interested in knowing if it would work or not.

T-Mobile generally requires a device be on their service for 40 days before unlocking it. Something to keep in mind.

once unlocked you should be able to use LTE, but only for data. Most likely it will NOT support VoLTE (HD voice ) and VoWiFi.
I bought a used tmobile lg g6, used the unlock app to permanently unlock, but can't get it to work on verizon network. I inserted my verizon sim card but just tells me network is unavailable
Verizon refused to accept the imei for my t mobile G6. So I refused to remain a Verizon customer.
