Hello guys, i've got an LG G2 (verizon variant) on MetroPCS or Tmobile's network, it appears that because of that I cannot upgrade my phone to lolipop.
IS there a way around this other than flashing my phone and or obtaining a Verizon sim card?
Thank you!
I have the same issue, I'm using an AT&T Gophone sim card and I can't download the upgrade to lollipop. I'm going to get verizon prepaid on Friday so maybe then I'll be able to download it. I will let you know the outcome.

Moto X from the first sale arrived today... 32GB T-Mobile (not developer version). Right now we are on Verizon so don't have an alternate SIM card to pop-in and test and it's not currently connected to any mobile plan. #06# doesn't work at all. In the "About Phone" in settings I can see the 15 digit IMEI. A quick check on aio wireless showed it would work only with the 3G even though they do offer 4G LTE. A chat with their support staff indicated it was locked SIM to T-Mobile. Going to www.cellunlocker.net and putting in the info brought up that it was locked to T-Mobile.
Bummer... did we just get unlucky, or are others finding it locked as well?
I bought a T-Mobile one. Got it on Tuesday and popped my AT&T sim card in and voilá. It works. No sim unlock required.

If it worked at all instead of requesting you enter a code then it isn't locked.
Did you ever determine if the device did work on Aio?
Hey guys,
I know there are a few threads that contain bits and pieces about using a T-mobile variant with an At&t sim card so was just hoping for some straight answers.
a) does at&t service work correctly when using a tmobile variant of the galaxy s6 (g920t)?
b) if you're already doing this, how did you go about sim-unlocking the phone
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks!
Currently using my T-Mobile 920t on att with no issues, everything works and now don't have to deal with dropped calls. I unlocked it by using the tmobile unlock app so unless you are a T-Mobile customer for 40 days you will probably have to use the metro pcs firmware method and buy an unlock code from a third party.

Just got my Sprint Note 5 domestically unlocked so I can switch to AT&T, question is should I just be able to up my AT&T sim and It should work OK? Can I swap back and forth with my Sprint sim and my AT&T sim? My sprint contract isn't up till end of October and I already have my AT&T sim, just not porting my number over yet.
Did you ever figure this out? Im curious to know how easy or hard Sprint makes this.

Looking to upgrade to an LG G4 and I know the H811 is easier for rooting and flashing.
Does anyone know if an unlocked H811 will work on cricket wireless?
Sorry if the info is somewhere already but I've looked and can't find any straight answer.
cricket wireless uses cdma phones I think so no go on the t-moblie version.

If your H811 G4 is sim unlocked it should work with Cricket as it uses the same GSM network technology. Cricket is the best prepaid cell provider because its prices are low and it is owned by AT&T and uses same cell towers. I had them for a year and their service is 100 times better than T-Mobile. Only reason I switched to tmo was for unlimited data. But now Cricket has unlimited data too.

I haven't purchased my G4 yet but now I'm thinking maybe I should get an unlocked T-Mobile G4 because of the unlocked bootloader. Should work with cricket as a lot of unlocked T-Mobile phones do.
And I'm on cricket's unlimited plan I can use a lot of data in month.

The Global H815 is unlocked from factory. I'd rather get that unless you know 100% the Tmo h811 is unlocked.

I'm on Tmobile now but going to Verizon soon but would like to buy a Tmobile g6 and unlock it. So what the title says, I know service will work but will I get lte through Verizon on my Tmobile phone. I used Tmobile in Verizon phones no problem and got lte before.
It depends on what radios the Tmobile G6 supports. I believe it has a sim card slot for the smaller sim cards verizon uses. I would google tmobile g6 radio and verizon radio bands and compare.
Also if I am not mistaken you will have to unlock the phone in order for it to accept another carrier. I believe if you buy the phone outright, tmobile will send you instructions for unlocking it.
Ok. I'm ordering the factory u locked g6 with dual sim. Hopefully it fully support cdma
I would also be interested in knowing if it would work or not.

T-Mobile generally requires a device be on their service for 40 days before unlocking it. Something to keep in mind.

once unlocked you should be able to use LTE, but only for data. Most likely it will NOT support VoLTE (HD voice ) and VoWiFi.
I bought a used tmobile lg g6, used the unlock app to permanently unlock, but can't get it to work on verizon network. I inserted my verizon sim card but just tells me network is unavailable
Verizon refused to accept the imei for my t mobile G6. So I refused to remain a Verizon customer.
