When i got to the twrp and type in adb push rom.zip /sdcard/ it says waiting for device but my htc worked when i put it in bootloader it popped up and didnt say waiting for device or no device
Did you do the command fastboot oem writesecureflag 3?
Going back to s-on on hboot higher than 1.54 will result in a tamper detected message, the phone reboots to the bootloader and the only way to proceed is to unlock the bootloader again
You need to S off again to get rid of the tampered message
If you NEED to go s-on, you're better running an earlier RUU once s-off for an earlier hboot and then go s-on
My opinion - stay s off

Easiest way - sunshine method. Will cost you $25 though, but it's worth it
Long way/not guaranteed to work - Firewater method. Several posts on the forum about different combos of Roms/kernels required to make it work, but if you get a whelp message running it you have to use sunshine method only

With the phone in TWRP and connected to the computer type:
adb devices
You should see your Serial Number and next to it recovery. If not, then adb is not seeing your device and you will need to redo the procedure over again. Check to see if your drivers are installed correctly and that your computer recognizes your phone. Check the prerequisites for HTC drivers installed.
1. Reboot your computer
2. Put your phone in bootloader
3. Type: fastboot devices >>>> You should see your device serial number
4. Put your phone in recovery
5. Type: adb devices >>>> You should see your device serial number
6. Now try step 5 of alray's procedure.

agree, sounds like the drivers are not installed correctly. That would explain why the phone is recognized in bootloader (fasboot) but not in recovery (adb)
@SmithMyster
When you are booted in recovery, open the windows device manager and confirm that your phone is listed as "Android USB device --> My HTC". If your phone is listed as "Other Devices --> One" when booted in recovery then re-install the drivers following the procedure from nkk71 (included in the guide)

You're phone needs to be able to boot up in order for rumrunner to work. Do you currently have a working Rom on your phone? If not, have you tried sideloading a Rom via recovery?

Hello,
I 'd like to unlock the bootloader on my HTC Desire C following the procedure on htcdev.com .
HBOOT update is required to move on with the unlock, in fact booting the device, holding power on and volume down, I' m able to choose
fastboot - bootloader, but then the field "fastboot" becomes "hboot" and I got some error on the screen: no image or wrong image
(it seems to search something (image?) on the SD card).
At this point I did reboot the device.
Do you know how to proceed to update the HBOOT? Or if there are any other ways to move on?

Yes that happens at times.Click on the fastboot option once again ( using the power button) and if you have connected your device to your laptop/pc you will get the option fastboot usb highlighted. The only way to update hboot is through a ruu which is meant your device or through an ota update.

If you know how to use adb you can push a ROM manually and flash it provided you still can boot recovery.

this file should get you back to stock from a windows 7 pc
install htc sync drivers first on the laptop and be sure fastboot devices works before continuing on.
then run the command fastboot oem lock before starting the RUU. this relocks the bootloader
http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu_m7_...1-27_10-31-1131-05_release_310878_signed-exe/
after the RUU finished you will have to start from scratch and unlock bootloader and install custom recovery and Root

here you go
Instructions for Flashing RUU Zip Files:
Download the RUU.zip file and place in your ADB/fastboot folder. I would recommend renaming the zip file to something simple like ruu.zip.
Boot your phone into the bootloader by holding the power and vol up/down buttons at the same time until you see the bootloader screen or if you have your phone booted you can use the ADB command:
adb reboot-bootloader
Now use these fastboot commands:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
Should see the Silver HTC logo. Now issue this command to flash your phone using the ruu.zip file:
fastboot flash zip ruu.zip
Now the first time you issue a command to flash firmware/ruu in fastboot it only prepares the flash. You have to issue the exact command again:
fastboot flash zip ruu.zip
The green status bar usually does not reach the 100% mark. When the output in the command window is complete, you can reboot:
fastboot reboot

So I did a system update for my phone on Friday and when it went to restart after the update it was stuck on the 'htc quietly brilliant'.
I don't how to get it booted successfully and have tried the recovery options in the menu except for the one that resets everything, just in case I am able to not lose much. I have read a lot about this and tried connecting by usb but it doesnt show up on my computer.
Is there any way to get the phone to boot?
In the recovery menu it says:
'failed to open loopdevice (No such file or directory)'
it says that 6 times then says
failed to mount /sdcard (No such or directory)
--i am trying this without my sd card inserted...
Anyways if any one can help let me know! Thanks

For adb to work yout phone needs to be booted to OS or custom recovery. Since you don't have either of those it won't work. Can you post fastboot getvar all? Just remove your IMEI and serial number.
Go here: htcdev.com/
Follow the steps there to unlock your phone.
You'll need to register a valid email as they will send you a .bin file. You don't need adb for this. Fastboot used.
After unlocking the device, download the stock recovery.img from tmobile (recovery_tmobile.img): dl.dropbox.com/u/50607529/recovery_tmobile.img
Save it to the same spot you have the fastboot.exe file
Then run the following command: fastboot flash recovery recovery_tmobile.img
Then issue a: fastboot reboot-bootloader
Go back into fastboot USB mode, and issue the: fastboot oem lock
Then issue a: fastboot reboot-bootloader
You will then be at the bootloader.
With the device still connected on your PC, switch to fastboot USB again (if not already), and run the RUU found online: htc.com/us/support/htc-one-t-mobile/news/
Do a google search for: HTC One for T-Mobile ROM Update 5.16.2014
Get the download that says "1.49GB". It's an .exe file you just run and it will wipe your phone. Considering the state it is in now, you probably won't mind that it'll wipe the entire phone clean.
This is off the top of my head, so hopefully those steps above are clear.
Any questions, reply to my post.

That is the problem. I cannot unlock the phone to get to the next step...
OK. You have two options - unlock bootloader and flash custom recovery and then adb sideload a ROM (easier in my oppinion) or run RUU. For RUU you need to match RUU .exe file with your CID and MID.
RUU M7 UL K44 SENSE55 MR Cingular US 4.18.502.7 R10 Radio 4T.24.3218.09 10.26.1718.01L Release 356565 Signed 2
This RUU should work for you, but after you flash it you will still need to unlock your bootloader if you want custom recovery and/or custom ROM

I tried the RUU option as well before I sent it to HTC.. Where do I get the RUU file you mentioned in this post?

Running the RUU method, it starts to upload the image to the phone and about 5% through it errors out with error[171] USB connection error. During this process the phone displays a black screen and says HTC in white letters.
The ADB sideloader option states - adb devices not found... Any other options?
Forget about adb for now, it won't work. That black screen is RUU mode and it's fine. Do you have another usb cable to try? Because that error suggests your cable is faulty

I have tried with 3 different usb cables and it dies at the same spot... I think because S-ON is set, I cannot the OS.
Then there's option 2 - unlocking bootloader via htcdev

S-ON does not affect flashing with RUU or custom roms (rooted).
If you are having USB issues, please try plugging into a USB 2.0 port. There has been problems reported with using 3.0.

As stated previously, ADB will not work unless you're in 1.) the OS, or 2.) Recovery mode (TWRP or CWM etc)

sorry for butting in, but your issue, including the 171 usb issue sounds like drivers to me, are you using windows 7 or 8 ?
with your phone plugged into the computer, please check in device manager, under android devices it should say MyHTC, if it says anything else, that's your problem.
download HTC sync manager from the HTC site, install it, then goto add/remove programs and remove HTC sync, this will just leave the drivers behind on your computer, you don't want sync, it interferes, you will see HTC driver installer in add/remove programs just above sync.

IT WONT BE your usb leads, ports or the port in the phone, so don't worry about that, its not a hardware fault, if it was then your fastboot getvar wouldn't of worked either.

Hi
when i was going to root my HTC One Dual Sim in the middle of the project my phone died
First i unlocked bootloader, BUT when i want to s-off with moonshine in command prompt (distiller.exe) it cant continued and said "read again" and "press enter to exit"
now i'm in the middle of nowhere, my phone just can boot to HBoot...
i also install recovery.img
and this is my info on hboot screen:
***TRAMPERED***
***UNLOCKED***
M7CDUG PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-2.49.0000
RADIO-U3.15.3509.12
OpenDSP-v32.120.274.0909
QSC-E1237.29.35.0108
OS-5.17.402.6
eMMC-boot 2048MB
May 30 2014, 17:47:49.0
i also want to install a RUU that i downloaded and i think it's ok for my phone from recovery mode but that failed. somewhere i read that's because my phone is not s-off.
Any Help or suggestion ??!
Update:
i tried with "rumrunner" (that's like "moonshine") and it gets error like moonshine, but in its error it said "no adb connection to device. Debugging on? Drivers?"
how it's possible cause i installed drivers and turned off usb debugging for unlocking process!!!

Wha?> You turned of USB debugging? Heres the problem. ADB works only if you have debugging turned. on. You won't make S-Off if you have USB debugging turned off
