Flash a compatible SPRINT baseband:
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
then erase modemst partitions
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst1
then reboot
fastboot reboot
Do you have service now? If now, you will most likely need to flash the ENTIRE stock Sprint SBF. Remember to NOT*** attempt to downgrade. Only flash the same, or higher version than what is installed on the device...
Also note that once you erase modemst partitions, you must repeat my entire sim-unlock procedure....

Thank you for your answer!
when I flash the NON-HLOS.bin and fsg.mbn , it said :'(bootloader) Variable not supported!' but then says"OKAY...finish..."
..It's this a problem?
and the first time I flash the 4.4.4 kikat , accidentally flash the baseband, then I reflash the baseband version between 4.4.2 and 4.4.4 system.
Will I brick the phone? I can still see IMEI NO. I just try the the 4.4 baseband still not work.

"Variable not supported" is totally normal.
Why are you flashing a 4.4 baseband? Flash at least the 4.4.2 baseband and try again...
You aren't at risk of bricking unless you attempt to downgrade motoboot.img or gpt.bin (Don't do that...).

the reason why I try the 4.4 baseband , is others are not working.
I only flash the baseband part, did not try the motoboot.img and gpt.bin.
so whats the solution now?
I have zero experience with the motoboot.img or gpt.bin.
can I flash it with the fastboot?

You have obviously misunderstood me....
I said that you should NOT*** flash motoboot or gpt (as downgrading these will result in brick).
Why not just try using RSD Lite or full manual method to do a complete return to stock? Find the thread in "General" titled "Return to 100% stock".

Remember: Do NOT attempt to downgrade (can result in brick). Only flash the SAME or HIGHER version of what is currently on the phone. If you are on 4.4.2, only flash 4.4.2.
Good Luck!
Complete return to stock means the xt1056 stock rom? or I can use the xt1060 rom?
beacause I can't use the xt1056 stock rom in here.

Hi,
I flashed my beautiful smartphone with CyanogenMod, then I decided to go back to stock. During this latest step I forgot to backup the EFS folder (I was neither knowing its existence!) and now it is corrupted (in About I have a Baseband unknown). How to fix? Is there a solution? Is there any hacker here??
Thanks a lot

Try flashing the stock radio. You didn't tell us your model/carrier so I could not link the firmware you need.

Hi, thanks a lot for your answer.. I have a retde XT1092 and restoring to stock using the Motorola guidelines didn't solve... I opened a thread also in the Motorola forum:
https://forums.motorola.com/posts/bc9598199a?commentId=992184#992184
Especially these didn't solve:
$ fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
$ fastboot erase modemst1
$ fastboot erase modemst2
$ fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
from:
https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/recovery-images
That is the wrong firmware. The xt1095 has a different radio. You need the radio from this file:
http://www.filefactory.com/file/3oippfwh4oil/VICTARA_RETDE_XT1092_5.1_LPE23.32-25.3_cid7_CFC.xml.zip
The instructions are the same. Just use this ones radio.

Yes I know that URL ! I always restored from there using XT1092, tried with kitkat 5.0 and 5.1 without any success ...
Well if that didn't work, then I assume it is either your PDS partition that is corrupt, or a hardware failure. If you didn't backup your PDS partition there is no hope to fix it yourself. You will have to most likely bring it to a service center to get it fixed.

As the thread states....has anyone tried to flash stock DOK2 firmware from the new MM update? I have searched and asked many questions but have not gotten a solid answer. And if no one knows or no one has tried yet, would someone who had already taken the update be willing to try flashing stock DOK2 firmware? For developmental purposes. Thanks in advance. ?

Root works perfectly fine. Use SuperSu Systemless root. I believe the version number is 2.74-2. It's the latest beta if I'm not mistaken.
First use ODIN to get TWRP onto the device and then flash the supersu zip like usual.
I was thinking of just using flashfire to flash BL and modem only then install the rom..that way it doesnt overwrite recovery... bad idea ?

Yes, bad idea. No shortcuts on base updates.

I was able to downgrade to DOK2 but I only flashed the bootloader & modem file not the entire firmware
If you flashed BL then we are good. I wonder if the MM bootloader is like n910G.....they couldn't go from 5.1.1 to 4.4.4 but when they got 6.0.1 they were able to got back 2 steps to 4.4.4.like a magical BL unlock ha

What files did you use? I tried flashing the entire dok2 firmware through Odin and kept getting stuck in a bootloop. If I could just flash those 2 files that would be great.

Awesome...that makes me feel safer...I might try to odin nk4 later just for ships and giggles haha
does anyone know if you can downgrade from MM PE3 to KK ANK4? I know that you can't go from DOK2 to ANK4. Love firekat too much

I had a T-mobile Note 4 (N910T) on 5.0.1 , downgraded to KitKat 4.4.4, when Lolipop 5.1.1 came out I upgraded. rooted, and then flashed custom rom Tekxodus .. phone used to restart randomly .. later discovered that once you upgrade OK2 you get locked and no longer can downgrade to KK.
later on, the phone started to give mmc error and then just died.
Lesson Learned, stay on 5.0.1 or downgrade to 4.4.4 and stay there.
I still wonder if Android 6.0.1 Locks down the downgrade process to 4.4.4. I doubt it will allow it.

Ok. You just downgrade, but I have a question.
After you flashed BL and CS, you still have to flash the firmware, right? So, I have to have the firmware OK2 too, right?

Yea if you want everything to be OK2 but its not necessary....if you are gonna use twrp, u dont need to odin recovery....and if you are gonna use a custom rom instead of stock then you dont need to odin system...so basically anyone with twrp and a custom OS is only using BL and Modem
But i always just flash it all just to be thorough....

I went back and flashed the factory image but the radio didn't go back to stock so I can't take any ota. How do I flash it (radio)?
Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
What OTA do you want to take? The most recent one is SUTL-49 and closes the bootloader unlock exploit. If your bootloader is already unlocked, then it's safe to flash it manually. Lots of threads have links to it. Do NOT flash it if your bootloader is not unlocked yet with Sunshine!
This thread below has both directions to flash your radio and even links to manually flash SUTL-49.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo/development/droid-turbo-xt1254-bootloader-radio-t3259327
If you just want to flash a radio, the command is: mfastboot flash radio radio.img
But my point is there's never really any reason to take an OTA. Links will always be here in XDA to flash any new software manually, to prevent Verizon from harming your phone.

You can download the stock firmware for whatever bootloader you're on right now and then after it's finished downloading the entire firmware you can unzip and pull the modem out and then repackage it as a .zip in order to be able to flash it with odin..
Do i have to do anyrhing special other then take everythine but modem out? Ive mever done it will it be self explainatory? Rathrr not brick m6 phone lol
