It's basically "flash", not "root" Cyanogenmod ROM. Cyanogenmod is already rooted.
If you really wish to do so, go to this link for an in-depth guide.

you cant install CM11 with a locked bootloader
i recommend you unlock bootloader and install latest DoomKernel (no need to downgrade unless you want to back-up TA which is a must. Also you must be on 4.3 stock first to avoid broken camera issue when unlocking bootloader) then download and flash rom and gapps.
Sorry if some of the stuff is a bit obvious just want to insure you don't brick your device.

If Bootlader Unlock Allowed saying NO it cannot be unlocked so your post is useless. BTW, there is no work around, it's locked permanently.

But you can get Root or Install Custom Roms, NO Custom Kernels.

i searched far and wide for a noobproof guide but couldnt find one end-to-end guide. it's a matter of sourcing different stages and doing it together. after many soft bricks - i worked it out.
ill try my best to make one
1) from what you said above, the only thing you need now is recovery mode - TWRP or CWM
you can get that by flashing DoomKernel's .136 advanced stock kernel - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448613
"v07 (changelog)
[Xperia Z1] DooMKernel v07 {MIRROR}
[ MD5HASH: c3e3beefa08889ef78c311bc3922af00 ]"
use this youtube guide to flash it using fastboot - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1Mp7MojuJo
2) download the latest cyanogenmod nightly - http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=honami&type=nightly
transfer the .zip file onto your sd card
3) boot into recovery (by turning off your phone, turning it back on and tapping the up button) and DO A BACKUP - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7815OazAECQ
4) follow the video from 1:18 onwards - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gvi0cbMz1V8
end.
yes, the camera issue is fixed.
MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP EVERYTHING
hope this helps.

He Said
If you coming from on 4.3 :
...
Install Recovery
...
and
If you have LB with 4.2/4.3 and Recovery or UB :
Go to Recovery
...
I am not 4.3 or 4.2 and I cant go to recovery
You have to flash a 4.1.2 or a 4.2.2 firmware with Flashtool (you will find it on others XDA thread of the section. You have to do that because with locked bootloader (LB) on 4.3 you can't root and install any Recovery.
So, go on previous Android version, root it, install recovery, install my zip, and the 2 others zip, then flash the stripped ftf (firmware) on your phone.
for this method you dont need to unlock bootloader

Actually You shouldnt re-Upload Towel Root show him to the official site
But TowelRoot is still the Root of the year
I just flashed .270, clean install over .108.. It's great, but I lost root. Now, I downloaded a pre-rooted .270 zip but obviously I need a recovery to install it, and Nut's XZ doesn't seem to be working.. What do you suggest guys? Downgrading is the only chance?
You could use KingRoot to root the device, how you get Nuts Recovery on that I do not know, so I suggest downgrading root, and recovery then use pre-rooted firmware to update to 270.
I found a lockeddualrecorvery2.8.15 installer somewhere on here this morning, worked great.

Do you think I should either try with kingroot (I mean keeping .270) or I should anyway downgrade?

I tried that with .270 stock but it's not working here haha.. Do you have .270 or previous fw?
Plus, can anyone tell me how to get a flashable ftf out of the prerooted zip? It'd solve my problem..
I have never been able to get recovery onto 5.0.2 after kingroot, but I might be doing something wrong. Best way would be to downgrade. Removing ftf from the pre-root will not solve your problem as if you just flash the ftf you are just flashing the firmware itself and not the SuperSU and Recovery that help to root the device when flashing a pre-rooted firmware.
you can root. 270 with kingroot, then install nut recovery 2.8.15 and you have root and recovery ?
Did it guys, already facing bootloops for some modding stuff but did it ??

Nexus phones are actually very easy compared to Samsung. Rooting has nothing to do with flashing custom ROMs, you just need to unlock the bootloader. If the custom ROM is not pre-rooted you will have to do so after flashing and the instructions will vary based on the custom ROM you flashed.
Why in the newbie guide u need to root first. No, samsung is much easier and very hard to brick ur phone if u did flash it in a wrong way unlike in nexus.

Some custom ROM's come pre-rooted, meaning you don't have to do anything after installing the ROM to root the phone. Other custom ROM's are not pre-rooted so you have to root the ROM after installing it. As an example, the stock ROM is not pre-rooted so you need to follow the instructions in one of the many threads that explain how to root the stock ROM. It is nearly impossible to brick a Nexus phone as long as you have a custom recovery installed and the bootloader is unlocked.

The bootloader is already installed on your phone, it is part of the ROM. As far as unlocking the bootloader, here is one of may results returned when Googling "Unlock Nexus 6 Bootloader" You need to do some research on how to unlock, flash and root the Nexus 6, the information is there if you just search for it.

There's only two ways to brick your Nexus 6.
1. Disconnect cable while flashing bootloader.
2. Close bootloader after flashing all stock without checking if it boots.*
Other than that you can always boot into bootloader and do stuff.
* +1 That's recently happened to people: Everything is off, including Enable OEM Unlocking, and you receive a borked OTA. That happened to some people unfortunately.

But you must be rooted with SuperSu not kingroot
If you are not rooted or rooted with kingroot u can use Thread to root or replace king user with supersu
