Hi XDA members,
so heres the deal.
I have a GT-N7000, I got it from a friend, but it was soft bricked. with the kies emergency error.
i tried to do the emergency recovery with kies, but it said "GT-N7000 does not support initializing".
SO my next thought was Odin. ive downloaded about 3 or 4 firmware files. flashed them and i get stuck at the "SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE GT-N7000" screen everytime.
i dont know what firmware it was on, and since it wont boot the only information i can provide is whats on the sticker under the battery.
idk if it was rooted, or on jb/ics/gb or custom rom. idk about the kernel. please someone help me fix this ill provide any information i can. :good: :highfive:
Is flash successful? Have you tried flashing Philz kernel through odin? Then try getting into recovery.

Originally, I am using a 4.0.3 stock rom.
Then I flashed a 4.2 ABYSS kernel and pressed wipe data after.
After that, I flashed check rom v6. However, it cant boot and stops at the GT-N7000.
So I use odin to flash a rom with pda, phone and csc. However, it still cant boot and stops at GT-N7000.
All my steps should be usual as I usually flash the rom of my phone.
What can I do to boot my phone?
Did you boot back into recovery after flashing AbyssNote kernel ?
Which ICS kernel were you using when you performed wipe data / factory reset ?
Now...
Flash stock gingerbread rom with pc odin and then factory reset.
DO NOT select PIT file or boot-loader etc. Flash normally.

It is superbricked.
Take your phone to samsung service centre. Motherboard needs to be replaced.
Act dumb, do not tell them about custom roms and kernels, root etc and make sure you do not have yellow triangle and flash counter.
BTW Which kernel were you using before you flashed AbyssNote kernel?

Did you reboot into recovery after flashing abyss kernel?
You need to reboot back into recovery after flashing abyss 4.2, so the abyss kernel takes effect.
Sounds like you didn't reboot into recovery, and wiped with an unsafe kernel.

You are superbricked. Search the forum for partial recovery since you cannot claim warranty, unless you send it back to France.

Are you sure it was stock kernel?
Stock kernels do not have clockwork recovery - so it is not possible to flash kernel from it.

If you can flash through odin without getting stuck at some point then may still be ok. Make sure to have kernel matching rom. Abyss go with gb rom.

can you enter recovery (vol up+menu+power) or download mode (vol down+menu+power)?
if you can get into recovery, do wipe dalvik->reboot and tell us what happens
if download - flash your country's whole rom with odin and start again

Still problem with booting
I have tried to flash many different firmwares. ODIN says green but the phone does not boot. Just the first logo or Samsung with some animation.. than it gets stuck there. ADB does not work then either.
I have tried to root and wipe data with different ODIN, but nothing helped. TWRP is not present on "download mode" either..
On ODIN3 v3.07 I see there there is a tickbox for "NAND ERASE ALL" but when I have it checked it fails or hands on erase state.
Could you please help me what I can do next?
I would like to have complete firmware and root and install TWRP etc. but I need to get booting up ok. I have already 15 on "custome binory download"

after flashing.. remove / replace your battery..
try booting in recovery by pressing vol up+home+power at the same time..
then scroll down to factory reset via vol keys..
wipe and restore factory settings..
I belive I soft bricked my i9305 when I tried to install Chainfire3D. I get stuck on the samsung logo but I can still access recovery. I did a CWM backup in Rom manager before it soft bricked but I cant access the backup from the default Recovery and I never flashed into CWM Recovery. So I wonder if I can flash CWM recovery from default recovery so I can reach my backup. Factory reset did not help, still stuck on Samsung logo. I tried flashing 2 roms but I get a error message E:Failed to verify whoe-file signature, E: signature verification failed. I can also add that I did not use Odin to root my device, I used Framaroot. I have no idea what my region number is and such so I'm not sure I can flash the stock rom ether.
Any kind of help is appreciated.

You can not flash a custom rom or a custom recovery from the default recovery, use odin to flash clockworkmod recovery.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37260965&postcount=1
Also wrong forum. This is the i9300 Q&A not i9305 Q&A
You can use the report button in the top right of your post /!\ to move it to the right location, which is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1822

A good idea would be for you to read the basic faqs and guides first .
ODIN and Root have nothing at all to do with entering download mode .
No download mode means you require a service centre repair .
jje
I can not enter adb shell ether because I never had the chance to enable usb debugging. Is service center really the only way? I can still install files from default recovery.
yes. sadly service center is the only option you have now

However I still dont know due to the fact that none of my roms I try to install with CWM Recovery works (error 7) I got a GT-I9305N so I'm still stuck, thinking about flashing the stock rom I downloaded from sammobile through odin although I'm not sure how.
Thanks so far guys.

I finaly got everything to work!
I flashed stock rom that I downloaded from sammobile through odin. I want to thank you guys so much for helping me out, it wasn't a easy road. Chainfire 3D ruined everything for me but I should have been more careful with installing that. Hopefully I can find something better to make the textures not all white in HD games but thats a different story.
Thanks again everyone!
I NEED HELP! Im a noob, i have a samsung S3 GT-i9305 ( GT-I9305GSMH) And i have soft bricked it by flashing a PDA that was meant for only i9300 - i then tried recovring it by doing alot of stuff but it wont work ... does anyone have any idea on how to fix this problem ? please .... btw i was using odin to root my phone but the cu*t fukced me over.... help anyone.. im stuck in downloading mode please do not remove target..
Hi all..
My friend encountered this issue recently..
where the phone cannot be started and the firmware error appears.
I've tried several attemps on recovering it back.
1. it cannot go into stock recovery mode
2. it can go into download mode
so i've tried to flash thru odin:
1) philztouch custom recovery
2) stock rom jelly bean from sammobile.com
both attemps failed.
so my next move is to connect thru kies.
it failed again as it does not detect the device to do the emergency phone recovery.
so now im in the idea of trying to flash custom recovery again and a custom rom. do not know whether it works or not, but ill try.
any other solutions/ideas?
Thanks.

If you cannot get the rom to flash.... You have to go through the philz kernel using odin.. Try to flash philz kernel xxlta version again using odin. Make sure you remove the battery for a couple of seconds. Then boot into odin mode. Use main USB ports and genuine USB cable.
Help please i tried rooting my N9200 dual sim and now i'm stuck one Samsung galaxy note 5 screen. I can get into download mode but not recovery. please help just got the phone yesterday!
