Icons changing Sense 6 - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I see some really neat homescreens using the Sense 6 launcher, clearly many are using icon packs from the play store.
Which modules or even which Sense 6 roms allow this flexibility with the default launcher?
Thank you.

Nope, that's a framework theming thing, not something that can be changed by a launcher.
Also, get Trebuchet launcher from CM9. It is much better than Nova.

not that i know of you will have to use a custom rom
Since we're talking launchers: I'm running the ICS update, still locked. I just installed Nova Launcher (not prime, just trying it out for now) and was wondering if there's a way to add the HTC clock widget to it? I don't see any of the HTC widgets listed when I'm running Nova launcher.
I'm guessing those can only be added when using the HTC Sense launcher?
Thanks,
-Brett.
Thanks for the help guys, can't wait for a stock ROM to run.

The main launchers I use are trebuchet and apex. They are much cleaner than nova in my opinion.

Yes you can only use those with the HTC Sense Launcher.
Honestly I like Nova better Trebuchet. It has twice the features of Trebuchet (on just the free version) and they look exactly the same.
Back on subject though StatusBar+ and Super Status Bar are the only notification bar replacement apps that I know of. I've only used StatusBar+ and its themed to look like WP7.
super status bar works but is still buggy but the dev does say it is a beta tried it for a little this afternoon if the bugs get worked out it will be a good program
You can use the UOT Kitchen to mod ur status bar. Ask Google for the link

[Q][REQ] Ice Cream Sandwich dockbar on GB / Sense 3.5 ROMS

Hello,
I searched via Google before posting this message. If I missed something, I'm sorry..
I'm using RCMix v4 and I think the ICS dock bar is cool than rosie.
Anyway to port it on our GB Sense 3.5 ROMS?
Ps: sorry about bad English.

Maybe you should give a try at Go Launcher Ex and apply kovdev's ICS theme (it is easy to find in the market). It themes dock, icons and wallpapers.
By changing the launcher you'll keep the Sense apps (dialer, messages, facebook, settings, ...), the statusbar and the lockscreen with its alert system. What will change is the dock, the app drawers and the desktop. Go Launcher is flexible, folders can be created in the app drawer and in the desktop (the desktop ones can include shortcuts and bookmarks).
Also, consider that by in launchers different than Sense you cannot have the HTC widgets.
Rosie can still be accessed by creating a shortcut with Anycut.
Okay, I accept with that the Go Launcher is a cool launcher application but as you said Sense widgets are not available.

There is no perfect solution yet, until we get a stable ICS rom. I found that I could live without Sense widgets, but I understand that it is a matter depending on taste and on how one uses his phone.
After buying my DHD I kept Rosie without trying to replace it for almost one year... until I discovered that with ADW Launcher I could get more than 4 x 4 icons per screen. That was so addictive that I never turned back
Later I left ADW for GO.
You should experiment until you find a setup that suits your needs, if you think Rosie is the place to be look up for themes for your ROM.

[App] HTC Flip

Only on Google Play
HTC Flip for Kitkat (Sense 5.5)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.NxIndustries.Flip
Rgocal talks HTC Flip for KK on G+ https://plus.google.com/100201209156317802250/posts/jPk5NSMxCit
HTC Flip is an application of an idea Ive had for Sense users to easily "Flip" or switch from one launcher to another. In another words...Your using Aviate launcher or a custom themed Nova Launcher setup but you wanna check out your Blinkfeed on Sense5 really quick or switch back to Sense4 quickly for something. HTC Flip will allow you todo just that. Simply as it stands, its currently only a home manager for Sense but with a little effort, I could add a few extra tweaks in there without the need of Root priviledges.
Simple use of the app...Install, Launch, Pick a Launcher you want to switch to..., done. Press Home on your device to simply "Flip" back to your default Launcher.
Currently in order to switch back to Blinkfeed, these would be your options...
Create a custom Widget with Buzz Custom Widget linked to the Sense5 Launcher Activity
Create a custom shortcut using an advance launcher (for EX: Xperia Raral Launcher allows custom activity shortcuts)
Clear your defaults
Exposed Framework (Root)
HTC FLIP does not currently support Kitkat, Flip for KK is your substitute and pro version
Thats a marvelous idea because in a third party launcher you can use pop up widget if you had access to the app in question to one click access it. I personally only use Sense because I love the Sense music widget and app because it has the gracenotes connected. It would be awesome to be able to access all of sense's apps from a third party launcher! Everybody would buy that

Heres a guide that shows how to get a shortcut on the third party launcher from Sense activities like blinkfeed
Using a third party launcher such as ADW, Nova, or Apex provides much more customization than Sense 5, but since Blinkfeed is part of the Sense 5 launcher, you will immediately lose Blinkfeed.
To get access to Blinkfeed with one of these launchers, follow these steps:
1. Clear the defaults of the current default homescreen launcher. This is done under SETTINGS/APPS. Click on the default launcher. Scroll down and find the clear defaults button. Click it.
2. Press the home key. You should now have a choice of which launcher to use. Select HTC Sense.
Click "One Time Only".
3. Delete all home screens except blink feed. Clear the apps out of the dock. (Optionally you can keep the homescreens and icons in the dock if you wish, deleting them makes a clean Blinkfeed only setup that I prefer).
4. Press Home. This time choose you preferred launcher and tap Always. This should take you to your home screen under the new launcher.
5. Create a custom shortcut. In most launchers you long press the homescreen and choose add or add shortcut. When asked to what you want to create a shortcut you will be choosing an Activity, not an App. In the list of activities, scroll down to HTC Sense. Click it. Choose HTC sense (Launcher) or HTC Sense com.htc.Launcher.Launcher depending on which launcher you are using.
6. You now have a shortcut icon that will take you to Blinkfeed. Clicking the icon will open Blinkfeed. Clicking home again returns you to your preferred launcher homescreen.
That's it!
Variations on above include setting the HTC Sense launcher as the default so that hitting home opens blinkfeed, while another icon is created to your preferred launcher.

I was thinking of trying that out but I don't think it works on cdma roms like sprint and it appears to only use the stock roms that are sense based gsm

Thats a good point
You also have to be rooted to use xposed mod and there's a lot more people that aren't then there is, man it's all about simplicity and convenience for most people.

I perfer my ONE not rooted myself. I perfer to use it for what it was made for, not to ruin it. "Been drooling over the MIUI rom tho, but not the point"
Il start development for this after I wrap things up over at the Razr forums. Rom developing takes it out of you as well as my toolkit. "Links below in sig"

Yes, on Sprint
Nice another dev for Sprint, theres a few making good roms and theming but we could badly use more
First look at an early build of HTC Flip. Basing it off of a Home Manager like user interface and integrating the Sense SDK into it. Looking into adding more shortcuts for the Sense Launcher and Blinkfeed as Launcher Shortcuts. Basically at the moment, It works by the user clicking on the app and selecting blinkfeed when they want to view it while useing another launcher like Apex or ADW. They can also manage their installed launchers. Nothing complicated, Nothing requiring root, something simple and small.

I stick to the sense launcher
The stock sense launcher is great and thats what I use!
I recently found action launcher which I really like. It's very functional and more minimalistic than most other launchers. If that's what your in to. There is a free version. Give it a try.

I stick to Sense. I don't know what it is, but every time I try and switch off of it, I always end up coming back. Even though they change it with every new flagship, I still stick with it. I've used Aviate, and while it's nice, it's just not for me.
I'm on sense right now, using xposed framework and sense 5 toolbox to get a 4.5 home screen. However, I also frequent nova launcher. It just depends on my mood, and I have them both installed pretty much all the time.
I like Trebuchet from AOSP

I visit in Asia most the user use HTC Mobile phone because it has been too many feature that you can use. After Nokia Lumia and I phone big brand that are using.
I use Themer. Wish it had a better drawer, but, I change up my themes so often its still the best option for me.
I use Nova Launcher Prime on all of my Android devices. Just find it to be fast and customizable to my likings
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
I like Go Launcher for its customization but I really love Nova Launcher. Love it so much I purchased prime. Its really fast and has a fair amount of customization. It also never crashes or gives me any problems. It's nice that a lot of the icon packs work on it as well.
Try Aviate. Pm me with your email I have 1 left

SS Launcher Paid version
I stumbled on SS launcher a couple of years ago when I still had the "EVO 4G". I have not looked back since, it is more flexible than any other I've tried. And I always get comments on it.
Check out Lightning Launcher on the play store.

Big +1 for Action Launcher. It has a free trial(!) now, even, so there really isn't an excuse to at least give it a whack. It's not perfect for everyone, but if it you can handle its paradigm it works really well. Aviate's also good, but the inability to hide apps (among other things) really killed it for me.
Agreed
