For some reason after I did a factory reset on my Maximus HD 44 rom the swipe up from home stopped working. If I enable the on screen navbar it starts working again though. And then stops once it is disabled. I thought having a navbar with a height of zero would fix the problem but I am not sure how to accomplish this.

My notification bar randomly stopped working in portrait mode. It works perfectly fine in landscape though... I tried restarting the phone but nothing... I really dont want to try a factory reset.. Anyone else have this issue?

So I did the htc test thing where you can draw on your screen. Where the notification bar is it wont let me draw there... However when I got into an app like facebook and turn the phone into landscape I can touch the screen there.
I haven't found any other mention of this problem, so apologies in advance if this is already documented and I missed it. I thought I would see if anyone else is having this problem?
The issue is that the top of the touch screen stops working intermittently, preventing the notification bar from being pulled down. It's not just a notification bar problem, as buttons in that area don't work (Spotify in landscape mode, shuffle button for example).
The problem does go away after a forced reboot (up volume and power) but will eventually stop working again.
I've not noticed any pattern as to apps in use causing this.
Any ideas?
My phone is stock UK on Vodafone
version 4.2.2 (2.24.161.1)
Bump - same issue.
Mine works intermittently - some parts of the top of the screen some of the time...
Anyone else?
Anyone else have problems? The new and even the old scroll gestures are not working anymore. In the menu gestures are turned on, my watchcase is a watchmaker premium watchcase. The switch on from dimmed is working automatically so I don't think there is some hardware broken

OK so after factory reset it's all working fine!
I can't make it work. Could you give any information else about what you did?
Thanks!!
Hello all!
I'm having a strange problem with my Redmi 2 (aka Wingtech WT88047). My bottom buttons stopped working a couple weeks ago. As my phone was rooted, I decided to activate the software keys adding qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 to build.prop and commenting out hard buttons actions, since I prefer them anyway.
After a while, they became unresponsive too. They work again once in a while, but most of the time they don't.
Okay, so what's strange about that? The strange part is that the button bar area IS working while in lock screen and when using fullscreen apps. I even wrote a simple app to test touch points and the entire touch screen area is fine. While in fullscreen mode, I can even swipe the bottom border to bring up buttons or swipe the navbar to activate one handed mode, but the buttons still don't work.
They work fine while on landscape as long as the buttons are located on what would be the top area in portrait mode.
After that, I tried going back to hardware buttons, only to find out with further investigation that they also work only now and then, but not most of the time (like the soft keys).
I rebooted, soft rebooted, removed battery, sim and sd cards, reseted, tried different roms and all to no avail.
I'm currently using LineageOS if it helps.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
Hi
I am facing this issue recently and it seems like a bug rather than a hardware problem to me.
I own OP3T for about 6 months and never had any issues. From the very first time i set it up, i chose the option to have On Screen Navigation Buttons Enabled (mainly because of the very short backlight time of the capacitive buttons)
Recently i decided to try again capacitive buttons option because in some applications OnScreen Navigations buttons are not working flawlessly (eg Camera). After enabling Capacitive buttons the screen area where the Navigation Buttons would appear is non responsive. I tried reboot , wipe cache , but it doesn't solve the problem unless i re-enable On Screen Navigation and everything works again.
I am on a non rooted phone with latest OO 4.1.6
Thanks
