Hey guys,
I noticed the mention in red for the safestrap install mentioning not to try it if encrypted. Does he mean SELinux? If so, I can't disable/set to permissive no matter what I try. I've tried the app, su'ing and running setenforce, and whatever else has been mentioned and I have yet to get out of Enforcing. Is there a trick that I am missing or is all this even necessary? Thanks!

"There is an unknown issue where if you and encryption enabled and install SS it bootloops. If you fit this description please stay away from safestrap fro now"
How do I know if I have encryption enabled? I have the ATT version, rooted with TW and have SuperSU on it. Rootchecker says I am successfully rooted. Am I encrypted?
Check settings and security
Got it thanks. I didn't know it was something that I had to enable myself. I never enabled it, so I guess I'm good to go to load up Safestrap and download my first ROM. Thanks man!
So i just finished the process of rooting my s2 tablet 810 5.1.1 and every time i reboot or turn the phone on and off i notice a message that says
"Kernel is not seandroid enforcing
set warranty bit: kernel"
Ive done some google searches and i would like to think its normal becuase i read in a thread that this is because of the knox trip.
however i also see threads dedicatied on how to resolve this "issue"
As some of you guys might already know if the version is 5.1.1, then you need a kernel to load during the process of root.
when i attempted to root the first time the kernel boot did not restart my tablet for me, so i manually restarted even though the option was set to auto-reset.
I now believe the process was incomplete because the tablet entered a boot loop after i ran the auto-root file. (Failed 1st attemp)
Second attempt i ran the kernel file and then the tablet rebooted successful, howver THIS is when the "Kernel is not seandroid enforcing set warranty bit: kernel"
is something wrong or is all good? gonna check if i have root after this post.
SIDE QUESTION
in the thread of the guy who posted about how to root he mentions how to put a custom recovery. Is that mandatory? or can i do this later when i want to install a custom ROM?
will post agian if anything important comes up after i check if ROOT
Okay so something interesting did come up. It seems i am rooted, however i keep getting a notification that an unauthorized action haas been taken and i must click on a restart to undo the changes that have been done.
its kind of annoying because it keeps popping up. I assumw this is the knox security.
there is an option for "sperate work and play" where i can install knox app in a safe and isolated space. what is this?
should i just ignore this poppup ? or is there a way to get rid of it?
someone to talk to would be nice right now .
This is because your kernel was modified to be permissive in order to root your tablet.
Installing a custom recovery is a must and one of the main reasons of a rooted device, it will give you the possibility of making/restoring backups, installing apps and ROMs between other stuff.
The anoying pop-up can be disabled by freezing/uninstalling SecurityLogAgent

I understand what a custom recovery does, ive had it on my two previous phones and have tried TWRP and CW.
however i only installed them because i wanted to flash a custom rom on those two phones. With my s2 tablet im looking to just stay with root for now, that is why i am asking if the custom recovery is a must? because i dont see any use for it if i am just going to keep my tablet rooted and not flash any roms yet
also any idea on how to get rid of that pop up in notification saying i must click the restart to undo the changes that have been made

Originally I said I froze and unistalled SecurityLogAgent, however I did not. So I did it now. I will report back if I go error free.
Thank you!
I am having this same issue. I have twrp recovery installed, I have disabled/unistalled everything with knox security symbol . I continue to get this error. I have wiped everything and started fresh and cannot get rid of this error. The second problem i am having, I cannot reinstall those apps with TB, I tried each of them and I even let it set overnight while I slept and it was still going when I woke up.....
1. How can I get rid of this error?
2. If I can't how can i get tb to reinstall knox or can I unroot without having these reinstalled?
this is everything I have froze, backed up, and unistalled

Getting rid of all Knox apps is good when you are rooted but the anoying pop-up comes from SecurityLogAgent app and not from Knox apps, as soon as you freeze or uninstall it the message will stop.

Hey i got problem with my nexus 6 newest pure nexus and blackbird kernel installed with NO root.
And iam getting message "unable to authenticate", also safetynet shows me the red message i dont know why.
Do you know what can i do with that?
Safety net now fails if your boot loader is unlocked. You need to root with magisk
You don't need to root... A custom kernel can hide the unlocked bootloader. No idea if Blackbird does that. Blackbird, IIRC, though is permissive by default and that will also trigger SafetyNet.
With franco works, but blackbird is smooth as ****
Yeah. Franco hides the unlocked bootloader state and doesn't mess with SELinux.
Have you tried changing Blackbird to enforcing? If you really want to use it, that is...

have you gone into developer option and turned off usb-debugging? If not do that and reboot and try to go into Pokemon go again. I have managed to get it work with Magisk but haven't tried without root at all. Try turning off usb-debugging and let us know if that worked.
I have successfully installed Magisk on my device Root works but when I try to install a magisk module I get an error about not being able to mount magisk.img. When I try to install through recovery the module is flashes without any errors but once you open the app It displays "no modules installed". Before the G5s plus that I have a had the Moto G5 Plus. It had the same problem I just had to install another kernel over stock one and Magisk would work as expected. Is there a kernel for stock room that would support Magisk. Anyone else had this problem or is it just me?
ive no issue installing modules through magisk. Theres a lot of factors here. You didnt mention but id presume you installed magisk through recovery. Also, I presume you installed xposed. Maybe the modules your using require xposed to work. I forgot the exact steps to install xposed through magisk, but its not hard, and Id assume anyways you tried all of that. Have to flask xposed through recovery if I remember, then you can install xposed app apk too through recovery, then open magisk and install the latest xposed there. Im not using a stock rom, however Im fully confident if you properly rooted, and unlocked your phone of course, (I assume you did, just saying) its not a kernel issue. Sorry if I wasnt any help, its all i can think of right now.
When I got the phone I unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP. When I set up my device I went back to recovery to install Magisk 14.3. It installed correctly and I got root using Magisk but when I try to install any module through the Magisk app I get an error. If I got you right should I try to install Xposed too? I was planning to install Xposed, Magisk version. But when I try that I get an error. I have attached a screenshot of when I try to install Xposed by topjohnwu and Greenify for Magisk. I get the same error.
well, xposed may not be your issue if you cant install any module with magisk manager. The modules, majority of them, if not all of them, i dont know, do not require xposed. Some do, most do not. Now please keep in mind, i could be wrong. I would say this, no harm in installing xposed, its basically a must get anyways for many awesome apps/modules. How you install, first install the xposed manager, youll have to look around for it, its not on the play store. Then downkoad magisk xposed through magisk. Once you download that zip file boot into twrp and install xposed through twrp.
This is a youtube on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCcvsOp83A4 Now thing is, this may not fix any of your problems. But theres a chance it may. Like i said either way you want xposed on rooted phones anyways.
Patched kernel for stock. I have no problem running modules on Magisk. Flash in recovery.

Hi all, i'm using a stock rom, rooted with magisk and debloated (manually). I always faced this problem, the 90% of the modules i try to install ends with something like that:
See Screen below
However i've never asked help because i tought it was a Magisk problem resolvible with an update...but every update ended always in the same way for me when trying to install some modules. I've also attached some logs here of when i tried to update xposed systemless if someone could help me it will be really apprecciated!
P.s Anyone facing the same problem? I've read somewhere that a similar problem is common with Motorola devices but idk if this is the case

Is this via Magisk manager?

Yes this is via Magisk Manager, however the same error (could not mount something) appears also when i try to install a module via twrp. The "best" thing is that some module just works both way (Busybox NDK for example) while other fails both ways. No module work in a way and doesn't work in another. So basically if a module work in magisk can be installed also via twrp otherwise it cannot be installed, no matter what i try
I have the same problem. Trying to install viper4a.
I have no clue how to fix it

I think this is a bug in Magisk with the way some modules attempt to install and mount, which is why some work.
I'm surprised though that they don't install in TWRP. Is your device encrypted, can you mount /data in recovery?

Well as far as i know, if you're on stock rom you won't be able to install audio mods because they're in conflict with something in the Rom. You should use a custom rom instead. However not sure 100% about this, maybe some audio mods can work, but you should ask someone else, i'm not so informed
