Hi there!
I'm using Existenz ROM, a stock-based rom, and yesterday I tried to install Viper4Android FX with no success. I had already installed it on CyanogenMod and it worked perfectly. After having installed Viper FX on my phone, I opened it and it installed the drivers. Then it told me that LPA (Low Power Audio) was enabled in build.prop and that it could cause problems, so I allowed Viper to remove this feature from build.prop.
Then I rebooted and I started playing with settings. I opened Walkman but sound was the same as before. I enabled "Force Viper FX" but it didn't work either.
Can you help me?
Thanks!

Stock Sony sound enhancements conflict with Viper Audio. The way I got V4A working on a stock Sony rom is by rooting, installing App Master, and using this app to uninstall all the sound enhancements that Sony puts into the ROM (I believe there are 3 packages to remove). App Master has the option to put apps in a recycle bin, so if you uninstall an app that actually breaks your sound system all together, it is fairly easy to undo the changes. After you uninstalled the stock sound fx, install V4A and it should work.
BTW - not sure if V4A will work with the Walkman app at all. You might want to try Poweramp.
Goto Settings/Sound/music setings or sound settings and select viper4android.Then use v4a.It will work

The answer is no. RAM management comes from deep inside the source code, so you have to wait until those memory leaks are solved by either Google or less likely, Cyanogen. Android 5.1 is supposed to be better in that regard.

1. Faux kernel app--
Helps in tweaking the various features of a custom kernel. And with a good enough customization, perfomance and battery life definitely goes up
Pss:*Not applicable on stock kernel*
2. Amplify app
An app which helps in blocking the various wake-locks which could prevent your phone from going into deep sleep and also increased battery consumption
Xposed framework is necessary for its functioning, and Yes, it does help in increasing battery life by blocking the wake-locks
*caution must be taken as tweaking and blocking all the wake-locks and alarms or services without proper knowledge could result in broken functionality and possibly boot-loop*
*same caution must be exercised with the faux-kenel app, or any other kernel tweaking apps, for that matter*
Hope that clears it for you
EDIT: I suggest this thread to clear up your questions regarding battery life on moto g2

Thanksa lot,
But I've one more doubt, when I installed xposed first from recovery, then installed apk. Then installed Amplify, but there is no call audio either incoming or outgoing. Installed Xposed in both Stock ROM & CM12 but same same problem no call audio.

Do you mean call audio via voip ie whatsapp, viber, hangouts etc.
If yes, there is a buildprop edit that fixes that problem
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/fix-whatsapp-callsand-voip-services-t3064132
Other than that, regular calls are working fine for me

Thats strange, I never had problems with regular calls
And moreover installing xposed would never mess up calls
Did you install any audio mods such as viper4android?
Well then,
1. Try installing a stock LP, factory reset it and then installing titan over it.
2. Try formatting everything, I mean everything except sd card then installation as stated above
PS; Does audio work in titan prior to installing xposed . ?

Well, considering that xposed for LP is still at an alpha stage, I'd suggest you to wait till a more stable one is released.
Me being on cm12.1 do miss the xposed frameworks too.
Then only way out is to wait for now
Is it only me or something wrong with LP? After upgrading to LP 5.0.2 (using Flashtool), System UI (or Launcher, or something else, I'm not pretty sure) just keeps auto-restarting after a while. The screen just becomes blank, moment later application icons show up. Applications seem to be reloaded (e.g. keyboard is loading for a moment before it shows up). It was working pretty nice before (KK).
Any help?
For the record, I'm using C6903 14.5.A.0.270 CE rooted, locked BL, odexed (original stock downloaded using XperiFirm). Also got xposed 3.0 alpha4 installed with following modules: Disable Desk Dock, Greenify
This is a bug on z1's lollipop
Best solution is to backup ur ta and unlock bl and install cm12.1

any help?
I have the same problem, doesnt happen on kitkat tho
Anyway, i dont expect it to be fixed, the z1 never been good at multitasking
I'm using Z1 (C6903 270 TW FTF) with del useless APP + Xposed Work fine NO issue
Because of high lowmemorykiller value, launcher and UI will restart frequently. You can try to flash init.d tweaks to adjust your lowmemorykiller value, and it will solve your problem.
Hi,
I suggest you trying at least a custom launcher with Lock In Memory feature. I was facing this issue and it was really becoming annoying, then I installed Xposed Module to do a small fix on Lollipop Memory leak (if you don't mind rooting it's a great option). And installed NOVA Launcher with hat feature.
All the best,

I'd love to try this, but any recommendation about lowmemorykiller value?

So u mean the xposed lollipop memory leak fix could solve the problem? but i heard that Z1 Lollipop stock already included this fix? mine already rooted and got xposed installed so I won't mind getting that fix if it solves my problem.

You're lucky then
@boydzethuong
1. For LMK> use 3C Toolbox from Play Store, set Android OOM at aggresive mode and enable set on boot (not init.d).
2. For launcher> use App Settings Beta, search it @ app Settings thread, used for Lollipo, not L 5.1.1
Enable resident for your current launcher and reboot.
memory leak has been fixed in 5.1. I'd wait it out til 5.1 is rolling out on the z1. can't take that much lunger 'til then. couple of weeks max (i hope)

OK, so to summarize, just like u guys I am having trouble with memory leak, which people said a fix had already been included in sony stocks BUT it didn't really fix the issue at all. correct? Then i'd go with: wait for 5.1
For those who are using xposed, yesterday I was about trying to uninstall xposed to see if I had any luck getting rid of the issue. However, I found a new version (v70) so I decided to flash it first then clear davik-cahce... and you know what... it seems to be working normally now. No lowmemorykill so far (yet?). Will pay a few more days see if it somehow solves the issue. You might wanna give it a try.
Cheers
Hi folks! As we all know XZ1 is not an old phone to get out of warranty today. And rooting (drm fix thing may work but if we ignore it) may void the warranty.
My question is, is there any good mods you use on stock pie rom to have better experience? If you post your "root needed" mods installed below, me and other users can get enough reasons to have root today?
And if you can share the links of mods, people will thank you so much i think ? (working night light should be a good addition for example)
I am also wondering this but I think as xz1 also we lack of developers. At the past years we had many many developers but all of them flew away from Sony
Unfortunately there isn't much right now, i rooted mostly for debloat and install battery saving mod (LKT mod) both things for better battery life and performance. There are a few mods for sound and camera (camera mod is WIP), and a couple of custom roms to try.
@snake218 Is there any losses on unlocking and rooting process?
Based on my experience with sony support; I rooted my xperia x (unlocked bl, drm fix), relocked my bootloader and restored my drm keys. Then I shipped it to sony repair and they accepted it. So I think I might root this one too. Just make sure to backup your keys and store them before sending it to sony.

That camera WIP mode is it any good ? i mean better than stock sony camera or not ?
i am thinking about rooting my xz1 too, only reason i would do that is to install viper4android and make my XZ1 louder both on loudspeakers and on headphones too......my phone is 3 month old so i dont want to loose garantie......dilema this is
if somebody wont to root xz1 he should make TA backup otherwise you loose your drm keys.
