Is it possible to use other non HTC stock apps (Facebook or so) while being in extreme power saving mode, with a root tweak or something?
I hope you can help me find a solution.

That defeats the purpose ...you can turn power saver off and on as many times as you like. theirs also Greenify and other battery saving schemes

Does anyone use the Trickster Mod app on stock kernel? I have the donate version and i take advantage of the charging LED light. If so what, if any tweaks did you try? I also use the multi core power save tweak set a 2. For anyone that may know, would using titanium backup to convert Trickster Mod to a system app have any advantages?
Doubtful. AFAIK Trickster mod just makes the changes at startup, it doesn't need to run all the time.
BTW I have both enabled, the multi core power saver and mp-decision.
Cool to know it works with the stock kernel. Is there a noticable difference in performance and does it give you better battery life?

It's tough for me to say if it gives better battery life due to a lot of changes in settings, e.g. greenify, app permissions etc working in connection. I will say it doesn't hurt. When my phone is asleep I lose about 1 to 1.5 percent per hour which is okay with me. Performance is fine for my needs. Plus I like the LED feature to know when my phone is charge by the status of the green light without having to psychically unlock the MX and check. But to say how much of a difference is hard to tell without setting everything else back to default and just using Trickster.
I know lot of you guys may already know how to use this feature but there are many who dont know where this *doze* feature exist in marshmallow roms and firmware because there is no enough evidence about this feature.
So here is the quick guide how to enable doze feature.
1, go to settings/battery or power saving )/details and here you can see this is the *doze* feature all of the apps that consumes battery.
By default it is auto save power on 3 days you can set it to always save power to all apps 1 by 1 as in screenshot below.
You will see huge improvement about 20% in battery life after enabling this feature.
Hope that helps
hit thanks button if this works for you:good::good::good:
umm this is just a 3rd party app that samsung use to kill background apps

Are you talking about smart manager ?
Because i think its nothing to do with any 3rd party app in battery doze feature.
Hi friends, I would like to know whether any possibility to add any or some apps to the Maximum Power Saving mode (ultra power saving mode. Like, when low battery I switch to Maximum Power Saving mode and I would like to use mainly pdf reader app, currently I found only Microsoft Word available in that mode. Is there something to be edited or like that? Ajy possibility to add desired apps to this mode? Waiting your valuable answers. Thank you so much.
Nobody?
Not without root, see similar

As a previous owner of a Note 4 I am used to the "ultra power saving mode" feature, too limited by default.
However, using a 3rd party app called UPSM+ (+ROOTED) it was possible to add apps not allowed by default and customize the restrictions.
Now in the Note9 I am aware that the "saving mode" has the option "Maximum power saving" that seems something similar to UPSM, but the selection of apps is not very useful to me.
Besides many only apps from Google/Microsoft
An offline mp3/video player is missing
Is there any chance to modify without ROOT?
Are you using it? Any tip?
Hi Everyone
On my Vivo X70 Pro+, the background power consumption setting (battery) is reverting back to smart control even after setting it to "Don't restrict background power usage".
Certain apps are force closed in smart control mode and it is very bothersome when it comes to Launchers. I have Microsoft Launcher which I keep as default launcher. Phone's smart control mode is killing the launcher in background. When I unlock the phone after some idle time, my mobile has default phone launcher and it reverts to Microsoft Launcher only when I press the home button. Also when I open app drawer, the app icons appear after couple of seconds.
Previously I figured out this issue and switched to no restriction mode for launcher and it worked perfectly. But with recent update, it seems to be a bug now. Any work around guys?
Any solution to the issue raised above? I have the exact issue in my Vivo X70 Pro+. This bug need to be resolved.
Thanks,
Mayank
