Hey guys, so about 3 weeks back i was in the bathroom and i dropped my I9000. The battery fell out and it landed on a spot that had water on it. Anyways a put everything back together and it worked fine. I put the phone in my bag and took it out in the evening. I tried to unlock but the touch screen was not working ( I was on HellyBean Rom). I took out the battery and put it in recovery mode and data reset it. I booted it and the touch screen still didnt work. So using odin i flashed back to stock to see if that would help the problem. It didnt, the touch screen still didnt work. So i left it for about 3 weeks. When i came back to it i tried to turn it back on but is stuck on the samsung screen. It stays there and thats it. I dont know what the problem is. Did the water get in the phone and damage somthing like the touch screen? Im not sure so thats why i need your guys help. Thanks
It is possible that some short circuit has caused your problems. I would leave the phone with removed battery for at least one another week on a warm, dry place.
If the hardware is damaged, nothing will help, though.

today my phone was working perfectly, but i took it out of my pocket during the day and my screen appeared as if it was cracked in some way. but it wasnt it was coming up like negative of everything. (can still sorta see everything) it also will sometimes flash back to normal, or if i push on the screen in the certain spot it will come back.
im figuring that the cable is unhooked or something. Anyone have any Suggestions ????
Well ive had my phone for a while with hyperdragon iv iolite working completely fine without any hardware or software issues for months. Today i took out the battery of the phone, and put it back in and turned it on, but when the phone turned on, the touch scrren is not responding to anything. everything works fine with all the buttons and keyboard, but the touchscreen isnt working. What could have gone wrong just by taking out the battery. I also havnt dropped or damaged the phone in anyway so i dont see it being a hardware problem. Thanks. I really need help
I have heard of people who has been able to solve this problem by hard resetting the devise. I have had not such luck....comes to be that from sliding wear and tear the connector to the screen gets damaged. My screen is completely disable, I found someone that was able to buy a second hand phone on ebay and was able to switch the connector. Looks like to much of a hassle to me, so Im sticking with this until I switch phones.
so i dropped my x1 today on the corner(yea... thnx invisibleshield) and it got ruined. the screen itself just doesnt seem to work anymore, i take out the battery and put it back and try to turn it on and it only vibrates, the screen shows nothing. any help? thnx
remove the battery. Apply pressure, great one, on the slightly bulging part. this is the area where the main board connects to the screen. if it still wont work, bring it to the service center.
I have dropped mine, and i openned everything then miraculously it worked again.
okay, which slightly buldging part? i appreciate the help.
can anyone help? i realy dont want to open it and i dont have warranty.
After my X1 got showered the keys dont work anymore. First i was always greated by the boot screen, after that i told me if i want to reboot every time.
At the moment the power swtich is working fine again. But none of the other keys. I suppose on of them is pressd continuesly.
Will it revocer? Can i do anything to help it?
You shouldn't have turned it on. Leave the phone a few days to dry out completely.
never power-on a wet phone dude... place the phone in a bag of rice for about 3 days, then blowdry it or rest it on a warm surface like a tv set...
everything should be back to normal
note: uncooked rice
Well i was on while it got wet..and i only noticed it because i felt it vibrate as it rebooted.
If something didn't burnt out, go to a service and for a little fee have it cleaned...
I dismantled it today to see if i could clean the electronics of the keys, but i didnt get there. The actual keypad seems to be taped together..i didnt want to rip that open in fear i wont get it together again.
Hey guys so my D3 died a little while back as the touch screen is completely unresponsive and im trying to restore it to life. When it died it started slowly after I flashed droid steel ROM, at first the it worked fine after the ROM so it may have nothing to do with that, but about a day after having the ROM I went back to my backup of rooted stock ROM. then after a couple of days the LCD would not come on after having it locked in my pocket for a bit, at this point the touchscreen still worked and I could blind power it off and then back on and the LCD would come right back on. Then the touch screen would stop working when i slide the keyboard out until a power cycle, and now finally the device powers on but there is no touch functionality at all. Since then I replaced the main flex cable and used the stock unbrick to set completely back to stock and the touch screen is still a no go. The only thing i haven't done is replace the digitizer. Do you guys think the digitizer is the issue? or maybe the motherboard? The device has never had any water damage and has always had an otterbox on it so no chips to the outside either. Thanks
Probably is the digitizer.
