A while ago I had an HTC one X running viper x rom, this rom had a neat feature of having four sound enhancements when your headphones are plugged-in in the notification area which were Beats, Dolby, SRS, Xloud and none/off. The sound enhancements were great on that rom and that is one of the things I miss the most about it and I wondered if it could be made to work for the sony xperia z or if there is an existing thing similar or the same as this. thanks

I think the Xperia Z sounds great. I listen to metal and this phone sounds kick @#$ to me. Try these settings if you want, they work for me song after song. I never use the built-in speaker for music, but this sounds good on my headphones and stereo.

Well, while it isn't advised to run more than one soundmod at a time, if you install RomAur you can select more than one soundmod (HTC One Beats, PureXaudio) and then flash AC!D soundmod ontop of it all. works nice for me. Also +1 to those equalizer settings, I use a similar setup for metal and it's ****ing niiice.

I quit trying different sound mods back when I had my Galaxy S3. It's horrible sound is what drove me to the Sony Xperia Z, and I have loved how this phone has sounded ever since. (I use it for 90% media player, 10% phone)
Although it does take a little tweaking in the settings to get superb sound, Do you really feel that any of these sound mods improve the sound, and if so, which one(s) would you recommend ?

Imo the best sound mod i had on my one x was KingBeatz which actually works on pacrom for the xperia z if you go to the htc one x page for it, i asked him to port it but he said it'd work as is, and it did. sounds nice.

Yeah but keep in mind my settings suit my music and my ears, all equalizers need to be fine-tuned per device, person, and music, but, I have tried the xperia z by itself, I tried a couple of the sound mods hear in the past week, and one thing is for sure, on this phone, they are all capable of sounding great, always, with a little tweaking !!!!

Could always try my soundmod for the xperia Z, just if you're on 4.3 replace DSP manager with the DSP manager from pac or cm.
should work fine after that, ignore that it says discontinued, i just couldn't be stuffed adding the new dsp manager.

I could but i think that would be way to loud and at that point you will definitely will get sound distortion.
But if you want it .. haha

headphones is definetly louder
unsure about normal speakers as im in a quiet room by myself, so im not sure if its a real boost or placebo effect, everything does seem louder though
so anyway how to make 30 step volume slider, im using ART and xposed is not supported atm.
Hi everyone!
When I receive emails I hear the notifications but I cannot hear sounds with the Walkman or video apps.
I also tried MX Player and YouTube etc.
The volumes are all turned up to maximum! The headphones DO work so I am thinking the internal speaker has broken...
Any advice welcomed!

If you can hear the notification sound that means you don't have hardware issue
So try to flash/install (same) another ROM and see..
If not helped IT'S HARDWARE ISSUE!!!

Hi androidfreak70!
updating now... setup gmail... and then tried the Walkman app and no sounds through speaker... I can hear music through the headphones.
This is my back-up phone ( main is Xperia Z1 Compact) so will not spend much time on it..
The Dirty Unicorn Rom looks interesting but I have not rooted and installed a rom since I had one of the first Samsung tablets!
Need to do some reading !

Sadly. This is a hardware issue
For Dirty Unicorns ROM you don't need root
Just unlocked boot loader and recovery CWM or TWRP

Xperia Z no audio in walkman or other media application
To solve this problem, plug in and plug out earphones few times As the problem could be with audio routing. I had the same problem and I got it fixed.
Download sound about app go to connectable devices > wired headset settings uncheck wired headset detection. n restart phone

Feature Support
'Do you plan on adding MHL support for this rom? I use it a lot in Stock, it's the only thing that's pulling me from switching to your rom :fingers-crossed:'
-Nevermind
My bad, hehe it's proprietary so the probability is no anyways just please add a support for the dual mic
Anyways, I've tried to flash it. It works great and very smooth
Mediaserver and Play Music
Hi,
I'm coming from Motorola Atrix and finally decided to get Custom Roms again - thank you for your work! But I think there's something wrong in my settings because my Mediaserver and Google Play Music is draining my battery quite a lot though I'm listening to music only for about 25 minutes (together 16%-pic1). With the original Sony Rom it was only a quarter of the battery usage. If Google Play Music runs longer it needs even more battery than my display (43% - pic2) ... Often Mediaserver and Play Music need about the same percentage. Is there anything I can do to solve this issue? I haven't changed anything about the CPU.

You can use lighting inteliplug kernel or KMA kernel if you use custom ROM( cm, pa..) On stock based custom ROM search on xda because I'm not sure with one is working
Wysłane z mojego Xperia Z przy użyciu Tapatalka
Both work
Hm, I tried lightning with two different roms (PA and PAC) and it didn't solve the problem... I guess I'll have to try the kma kernel tomorrow or is there something I could try with Kernel Tweaker App? I already lowered the CPU Frequency to max 1242 MHz.

Yes you just have to go to Settings-> Apps and chose the App you want to exclude. There you can chose blacklist -> hover
Thanks but that option just isnt there :s
And having troubles to get in my contacts app it fcs all the time, wipes all the way and cleared the app itself
Edit...
Nevermind found the option thanks
And any solution on te contacts app?
Edit 2
Nevermind me again hahhaha
Fixed contacts app on my own.
What i did is first rename contacts.apk and contactsprovider.apk to .bak and replaced them with similair ones from another rom and set permissions and that did the trick
black screen and no mobile connection
Hi guys
I'm having troubles with PA 4.6 on my Yuga.
On PA 4.6 Beta 4 my screen turns black whenever there's a hover notification or the volume bar poping up. And music and sounds lag (in lack of a better word).
On Beta 5 these problems are gone but i have problems with mobile data connection. Bad signal and mobile data connection comes and goes. 3G at max and no stable connection.
I did full wipes before flashing each version.
I can upload a video if that would help.
I'm from germany, my carrier is Congstar, that's basicaly cheap T-Mobile.
Does anyone else have these problems and can help me?
Thanks and regards

How is battery life and smoothness on this rom? How many hours of on screen time do you have?
People start making their own sound modes, i have one that suits my needs for a pure stock experience.
It boosts headphone(deaf mode)+earpiece+speakers+stereo mode for ringtones.
Its as simple as that. Works on xperia z2 4.4.4 and hopefuly on z3/z3c 4.4.4 |
DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK. THIS MIGHT DAMAGE YOUR DEVICE.
