hi guys
I've got my lumia phone about 2 weeks ago, since then it has been nothing but pure **** in games.
lag makes playing fifa or temple run impossible.
The first 2 days where fine, but then i tried the developers preview 8.1 and all the trouble started.
so what i did was i restarted, reset, recovered via pc, tried evrything else i could find and it still keeps lagging.
is this a common problem?
Is there a known fix?

It should not lag, this isn't normal behavior, you can go to Nokia Care or the place you got your phone from and they should take care of this.

In the past couple of days I've noticed that the phone restarts on it's own. No new software was installed recently (except Iris Browser, but that's not even running). Has anyone experienced something similar?
yes, but with me it only happens when I slide my phone open or close it...

As usual, do a hard reset and if the problem is still there, ask again .
The reason is either a conflict between some of the soft you have installed or general WinMo attrition (piling up of reg errors, old files, etc.).
Of course, I might be wrong .

That's a hardware problem. The cable connecting the two parts of the phone has corroded.
Mine is in constant, nonstop usage since 01.01.2009 as my main&only mobile device
(besides the computer).
And I didn't hardreset/upgrade yet.
So it's a 10th month of the same FW since the beginning.
Lately my X1 behaves strangely, just because there's tons of apps installed and uninstalled,
some of them being beta (Opera 9.7 - great but buggy and problematic) and apparently playing bad games with the device.
(Opera 9.7 sometimes crashes the way you cannot start it anymore yet the process is impossible to kill even in advanced task manager app)
I get angry occasionally but in fact that's how it goes...
Hard reset is a must probably!
Probably will have to do HardReset if it happens again. Maybe it'll be a chance to try out some of those 6.5 ROMs.
if after hard resetting was performed and stiill experiencing the same problem, try to replace the flexible connector......and if still same u need to do a full reprogramming
Hey guys, so this is the problem. I ave been using my phone for more than 2 months now and it has been really awesome.. but few days back, i just put another new sim into my phone and again put back the old sim. and ever since then my phone has been very very very slow. Ive tried every possible solution to repair it, but nothing seems to be resolving.
Okay, so i have done a factory reset 5-6 times, i have also re-installed the OS about 4-5 times plus i have also taken it to the service center and they have tried every possible ways and they have re-installed the OS quite a number of times too.. plus there is nothing in my phone now.. its like brand new, no apps, no contacts, no nothing.
Can someone/expert please give me a solution to this problem?? My phone is dead slow T_T
hey all,
i got my galaxy note now 3 weeks ands it's rebooting random all the time. at a service point i let them do a factory reset but that did not work. does anybody know a solution for this problem? because i dont like to send my note cause i will not have a few days sow if anyone got a solution i like to try it.

Suffering from the same here
I think its related to one of the apps - I will start removing my installed apps one by one from tonight - Will keep you posted with the updates.
Also, if anyone out there had the same issue; please advice!
I had the same issue on previous android devices..I managed to get around it with numerous hard resets. Also I believe that a certain combination of apps will cause it too..but i don't know which ones. I've got a dell streak right now, and its been stable for a few months..having said that, it still randomly reboots once in a while but no where near the consistency it used to.

I had this problem too and it seems to be an installed app problem, particularly any that change the wireless settings in some way or apps that stall when accessing the external SD card at boot times.
this is exactly what happens to me guys, same problem.
Random reboot and this happens all around the clock, no matter if it is day or night or if the phone is in flight mode...
Frankly I don't want to uninstall my apps one by one to check what app is causing the issue because I have no time to spend on it...
I hope that someone with more software skills than me (I am just an user) will succeed to fix it...
cheers.
Do you have Dolphin browser installed?
If it's the case, don't search further...
What's the problem with dolphin browser? I constantly use it and never had a restart. Is OPs phone overclocked or undervolted?
Which rom and kernel are being used?
mine is also rebooting every once in a while for no apparant reason. Mostly when I unplug it from the USB cable but not always. This happened from the first day on. I never did a factory reset but considering it now since the SMemo app is not working anymore (no strokes are visible) and I am out of options.

Come to think of it, mine also reboots when disconnecting from USB storage mode. I thought maybe this was buy design? Maybe not!

Do you use antiviral software? Start by removing that. Kaspersky have messed up almost all my Android devices.

why would you need to pay anything if the phone is under warranty ?
I also have this issue, I found out that its the power button..

Dolphin is a well known app for causing random reboot, since SGS 2.
Not for all users but for many:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1321612&highlight=randomly
But without Dolphin installed, I really don't know...
I think it's the SD card causing these problems.
My reboot problems all disappeared when I removed the 32Gb sandisk card. I replaced it with a 16Gb card and was very careful about which apps I installed on it. Now whether it was the card size/brand or the selective apps that resolved the issue I can't be sure. Having Dolphin's cache on the phone memory instead of the SD card might also be a solution.
But it's worth investigating if you have reboot problems with external card installed.
Hi guys,
As soon as I got my Note, I rooted it and flashed a custom rom. Never had problems with reboots so far.
So, for a change I though setting it beck to stock was a good idea, with the upcomming ICS update.
As soon as I flashed the stock rom with odin, and it was back to factory situation, the reboots start happening. Every 3-6 hours the Note rebooted. Got in contact with Samsung (NL) and suggested to execute a factory reset, so I tried that a couple of times. But no luck, the reboots keep happening. I thought maybe it was an hardware issue. I have no Sdcard, only my SIMcard, which was a bit warn out, so I order a new SIM. But still, the reboots keep happening.
Then I decided to root my device again and flash a custom rom (Rocket-Rom), and guess what? No more reboots!!!
I hope this helped.
To me, I think automatic reboot is somehow still acceptable. I experienced two times auto power off. Both were happened after I charged it over night, unpluged the charger and left it without unlocking the screen, drove to my work place, and found it dead
I'm only having it for 2 weeks and I haven't rooted it.
it maybe a usb charging issue which is causing so much grief to many note owners. Mine has a defective usb port and it makes my note go crazy, including reboots and makes the note think its charging when its not even connected to charger at all.
Using note since dec... Faced such problem 5 or 7 time whn my phn was nt rooted... But nw its working fine... Using rocket rom v 20...

Hey guys how are you?
Well everybody knows about the Stuck in motorola logo right? Well, I always use the RSD Lite and re-install the Rom (9.8.2I-50_SML-29_Retail_BR_SIGNED_SLATAMUnlk_USASMI01RETBRLA022.0R_S1FF_CFC_fb.xml) and ALWAYS get the problem back in a few weeks like 4 or 6 weeks.
So, here in forum I only found replies like "fastboot", "rsd lite"...and I already am doing that every time but doesn't fix the problem (just for a little time).
Someone knows how to fix like "forever"? (or at least more than 1 month haha)

I have the same problem here =/
hardware or software error?
Same problem here.
It starts with apps closing without error message, random reboots and slowdowns. The first time I also could not call anyone although I had a good connection.
Sometimes the booting process also lasts several minutes. Then, finally after some days one of those reboots or forced reboots ends at the Motorola logo.
Used RSD Lite to flash "CFC_9.8.2I-50_SMI-26_S7_USASMIJBRTEU", everything works fine and after 1-2 month the history repeats itself.
People seem to have this problem a lot since mid 2014.
Do you think this is a hardware error (memory fail e.g.)?
Or a software problem induced by some newer apps?
Hi, i have an p8 lite (ale-l23c605b131, from south america), since yesterday it started to work "horrible", lag, stuttering, etc, so i did a factory reset,, wipe cache etc, but the problem persists, i update play store after the reset and there's just a white screen whit the spinning wheel, and nothing else, i dont know what could have happened, since i've didnt installed any app or so.

mine too is doing exactly the same thing, i also wiped cache , reset to factory and it still lags
mine is ALE-L21 egypt
Update ,
yesterday's evening I gave a try to reset to factory settings again and it lagged and didn't respond at all.
I kept it charging whole night , by the morning I just unlocked the mobile and suddenly it started by it self restoring factory settings , after that I opened the play store it opened smothley , installed facebook , messenger , whatsapp, and it's working fine till now with no lag " 4 hours " up till now.
I don't have any kind of explanation to what happened , it's behavior for the past two days was upnormal and strange....
