Regarding Samsung ROMs: No progress. No ETA. No promise that it will be supported, although I don't exclude it either. It's simply unclear what further differences between their and AOSP's ART variant come up.
There are two ways to help bring Xposed for Lollipop to Samsung ROMs.
1. If you like his work, feel free to donate.
2. Track down some developers to do the research on Samsung ART.
If Samsung users want Xposed, then we all need to help.

I donate Xposed for Samsung TW S6 edge. Because i love xposed, and still wait... Guys please donate Rovo for xposed TW...

Also donated for Xposed on the S6 edge.
Money will help but skilled Samsung ART devs is better option. Since Xposed is not full time job or so, donations dont make rovo89 coding more.
Even LG started messing ART code what is not good.
I believe in Rovo

Are you really saying that rovo89 will develop a version for us Samsung Lollipop users ONLY IF we donate some money??
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1
No. I am not saying that.
I am saying that we need to Support the Developers. Samsung users need to show support in numbers.
Do not donate him in order to get something done, thats like paying him to do something. Donate for what he has done and help him with his future work instead.

Exactly. Donate because you like his work. I liked Xposed on 4.4 and I contributed because of that. I hope someday to have Xposed on TW roms.
Samsung really has their own form of ART? How can that be?
no...
that does not make any sense, i think
As you all might be able to tell, I just spent a few minutes cleaning up the garbage in this thread. Having said that, I suggest sticking to the topic at hand and also abiding by the forum rules.

For the longest time rovo89 didn't even accept donations. It wasn't until Google decided to make ART the default and sole Android runtime that he changed his mind. I imagine because porting Xposed to ART is such a massive undertaking and that he very likely has some development costs such as time and bricked devices associated with it, but that's just a personal guess.
I'm no developer so the best way that I can support his efforts is by donating to the cause. The majority of users feel the same way, hence the suggestion. I'm willing to bet that rovo would rather have some solid dev contributions than monetary ones.
Maybe it works on S4 I9505 with workaround?!
Hi there,
I already know that the Samsung Lollipop stock roms TW-based Roms aren't supported...
But on this page from Phonearena some PeterK. claims that it's possible to get it working with a workaround, and in the comments (see comment 4 & 6) the author claims also, that he made this on a S4 i9505 TW-Rom.
Did anyone try it and find it working also?
Would be very good news if it's true and finally I would update also
Thx for your help with this!

Yeah, but he replies to someone who says that it won't work with TW by saying it will work
so normally it should be logic, that he meant stockrom with TW... But right he didn't say it explicitly
And here's what's in the comments:
"4. RandomUsername posted on 16 Feb 2015, 10:57 +1
I read that it doesn't work with TouchWiz.

6. PeterK. posted on 17 Feb 2015, 01:16 +1
An S4 (GT-I9505) was being used for the purposes of this guide, so it will work."
Anyway... Could it be that Samsungs modified ART isn't integrated to all models n therefore it could work on some? Right now I'm to busy to check but after some time I'll give it a try... if there isn't an official solution till then
My suggestion is to combine the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T forums. Unless the differences between these two devices are extreme (which we have seen are not), I believe it would be beneficial to the whole community to have one forum, under which they can communicate and contribute. This will also help with future support and development of both devices. Most of the subforums will be the same anyway, e.g. Guides, News, & Discussion; Themes, Apps, and Mods; Accessories. So it doesn't make sense to create two separate forums.
What does the community think?

Yes... There should be one forum for both of them. I agree.
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
Having separate subforums for OP3 and OP3T ROMs would solve the ROM development issue. Other than that there is no need to create two separate forums and divide/fragment the community further. Having one big forum would be more useful in finding answers to questions and have good discussions.
I think One forum is better.
I don't very see the problem w/ combined, but keeping the development section separate is still ideal except if the ROMs are compatible. And from the look of it, this maybe the case. I saw on one of the post with pic show that the 3T has the same model number as the old OP3.
Yes, please. We need a unified community; not a divided one!
You have my vote for combining OP3 + OP3T! Maybe we should make a poll about it so the mods can see it?

What about the differences in processor, some camera features, battery? I'm all for unity of the community but hope the forum combination won't limit the 3T from anything.... I'm no expert lol

What about them? People can still ask questions just have to put in the specific models. Even in the 3T forum, one still have to ask specific storage size in certain question. I'm sure most of the XDA members know the different enough when asking specific question. As far as the general usage goes, most of the hardware stay the same and are govern by the ROMs. And from what the OP said, after the Nougat update, the software update cycle will be the same. In term of the community ROMs goes, I still suggest they have separate thread unless they are compatible.

Thats exactly how its done in the Samsung sections like the s7 Edge. They have a separate section for (EXYNOS) ROM development and (SNAPDRAGON) ROM development.
Yes im for this. Just 2 subforums for the 3t and normal 3 development and one unified 3/3t development subforum.
I think rom developers could even bring out one rom for both devices and you can choose what device you have in aroma, like it is on s6 and s6 edge. One rom for both devices and you have to choose what device you have in aroma when you flash the rom
I am totally with you, would be much better to combine them
Is there any word on the compatibility of One ROMs on the 3t? What are the chances of an incompatible kernel hard bricking my phone? I want to give it a shot but I'll kick myself if I brick my phone and 2 days from now a stable cm ROM hits the 3t..
If the roms aren't compatible I don't think they should be combined.
It could get really confusing if no one specifies which model they are talking about.
I agree with you !
Just look at the xiaomi redmi note 3 Forum, there is one Forum for 2 different cpu, one with mediatek, the other one with snapdragon 650. One Forum and 2 development under forums.
When it comes to the OP3 and 3T, you can't interchange ROMs, kernels, recoveries, firmware, or anything else device specific without it bricking your device, and with all these inexperienced people agreeing with you, were sure to have a bunch of panicking crybabies in the forums once they turn their beloved OP3s or 3Ts into paperweights.

THIS. Separate the forums - as above poster says - they are NOT fully compatible, so it's best to keep them apart. Confusion will reign and people will brick their devices.

Really pointless thread. If you've followed any of the other AOSP request threads, you'll know that it's a very complicated and involved task. Amassing "+1" posts isn't going to motivate anyone more to take on such a task.
On a more personal note, I don't know why someone would buy a device like the Note 8 just to strip it of all of its features. Personally, I bought my device because of all the features Samsung has put on it. I wouldn't put AOSP on this, likely even if someone paid me, because it would defeat the purpose of having this device in the first place.

We all have different opinions and preferences, so I think we all belong here. Of course support for devs is always welcome, but a +1 thread may not be the most effective way to go about getting what you want...They can already see the view count on aosp-related threads after all. Maybe try reaching out directly instead.

Well, devs, I think, try to develop roms to attain a better experience, adding some features, taking out some not very popular ones, in general to make the overall performance better, as Max Terrible here stated, buying a note series device to strip it down of ALL the features that make it what it is, in my opinion, is pointless, to that effect, you should get a pixel device, clean pure android out of the box

Do explain to me how having a thread full of people posting +1 to try and convince a dev to make an AOSP ROM, is considered supporting the dev?
I definitely support the devs and the great work they do on here, but recruiting a mob to basically create a petition for someone to do something you want, is not what I define as support.
I assure you, any and all devs working on the Note 8 are aware of the very, very small group of people that want an AOSP ROM.

This was the situation with Lenovo p2. But dev's eventually got in and now they have a great development curve.... the p2 users donated money for one dev to buy p2 for development and well. That was initiated by a user. And development kickstarted soon after.

But first, we need to organize users who would be able and willing to donate. Once enough people are there and we can figure out on total if the amount offered is sufficient enough, we can start contacting dev's. After we have a dev ready to help, then start pooling in money and purchase the set and send ot to the dev.

just a heads up. according to XDA rules. donation threads have to be created by the developer itself who is interested in the device development. he has to green lit such a thread with an XDA admin. if it gets created by forum users it gets closed pretty soon as it is against the rules.
so first step would be finding an recognized developer willing to spend his free time on the device.

two options comes to mind.
A: look into devs that were or still are maintaining Samsung (Snapdragon based) phones and might be interested in the A70.
B: look into devs that maintain a device that has the same SoC (or SoC family) as those devs will have less than half as much work (it does depend on how far the kernel deviated from code aurora code) to maintain a second device if they have already established the knowledge on the primary device.

The Operative Phrase Here Is: "Still Maintaining Samsung (Snapdragon Based) Phones".
In the U.S... Samsung Snapdragon devices have their bootloaders locked down.. ( Per Carrier's Request ) so you have Zero ROM Development..
IMO.. you have to love this device for what it brings to the table stock ( Widvine L1, Themes, AR Emoji, UI, Gaming etc ) just in case nothing Custom sprouts..

Hi All,
If this type of thread is not allowed, please delete however. Purpose of this is to get @freeza a OnePlus 7 Pro so he can make BeastMode Kernel.
Hes currently running the Note 9 with his this kernel, see here. As you can see, he's bumped up the kernel version quite a bit over stock.
While running his kernel on my Note 9, I was able to achieve a 3912 single core, and 9984 multi-core on Geek Bench. Putting the Exynos 9810 on par with the 9820/Kirin 980/Snap 855 chips.
He has already agree'd to get with one a little help. I'm pledging 50$ US. Anyone else?
Please send any and all contributions here - [email protected]. Send me a PM with your confirmation number and amount to be added to the list.
Thanks!!

See attached images.
First, that benchmark means nothing. Second, there have been 9810 kernels with higher scores if you care about scores. A kernel only with Andreilux' changes topped that score, not to mention a kernel with newer scheduling changes by farovitus. Third, save your money.
You need to invest your money in original development. Think about Tbalden, Andreilux (where most 9810 kernels were taking changes from), SultanXDA etc.

The choice is also mine because you publicly want people to donate for him to get a device. I'm aware who Freeza is as we are in the same Telegram group. You just are a dedicated/fan user who wants his favorite kernel on his device, but fact is it wont add any true value to the community at all as there are plenty of kernels out there that are similiair in the end. Oneplus already sponsors free devices to such kernels like blu_spark which formally seen are nothing refreshing. Making the effort to let the community pay for another upstreamed kernel with some picks from around will not improve anything. See it as having a low seed/high leech level in simple terms.
In short I am just saying that money is better spend elsewhere - as the amount of kernels is not the issue on Oneplus while the added value is - incase your figures would convince some non dedicated user.

All. Please refrain in reason why not to. If you wish the contribute, awesome. However let people make their own decisions as to why not to.
Thanks.
Not to be a jerk, but it seems like you're the only one wanting this, you buy this dude a OnePlus 7 Pro so he can do it, I'm satisfied with SmurfKernel, which gives most of us all that we ask for.
Also, why would I send you the money and not directly to him, stop trying to be a scam, if he wants to do it then he can make his own post about it. I doubt he asked for a white knight nor do I think he wants/needs a OnePlus 7 Pro.
Ontop of it all, I don't think a kernel is worth $700+, if he made it I'm sure people would donate to him, but we're not gonna buy him a phone.
Everything I have said here has been on topic.
Edit: We're voicing our opinions, that's not us not letting people make their own decisions.

As a recognized contributor you should be well aware of the XDA rules .. specifically that you can not ask for money BEFORE providing the (insert kernel, ROM, service, etc...etc.. here).
You can make a donation thread where people can *say* that they pledge $XX.XX -- and then collect once the kernel is provided, but asking for people to send money to buy a phone is flat out against the rules.
For now I will give you a chance to edit the post, but if this is still around tomorrow I will report it if another mod hasn't already gotten around to it.

That was the idea. However everyone is taking it out of context.
As a RD, you should respect people's whishes as to not comment unless you have something constructive to say.
