Does anyone have a link to download the Xperia camera apk?
The camera app was weirdly "uninstalled" after i installed the app called greenify.
I found how to add these new sony camera add ons to the camera [link below] , but not the sony official cam apk.

One does not simply download it, it is found system/priv-app/SemcCameraUI.apk, you might need to find a copy of this file from a ROM or something.

Thanks! Found it.
However it is not installing it. After running the apk It says application not installed.
Any ideas how to get around this and install it ?

You can't install these system apks.
Move apk to system/priv-app and set the permissions to rw-r-r or 0644, should be an option in your file manager.
Unless you're saying that the apk is already there and only the icon has disappeared
Well the app was there but after i installed greenify, i tried to open the camera and when clicking the icon it said "app not installed".
No idea if the camera is installed but not opening or it genuinely uninstalled on its own.

Hi all
I think that in few days the official Jelly Bean will come to our phones.
I would like to upgrade it using the LG OTA Update App installed in our phones.
But there's one problem: I deleted the app. I don't want to reinstall the system.
So If someone would post me the apk of this app, i would be very grateful .
Thanks in advance

Thank you vey much, i moved the apk's into system/app/ but there is still no FOTA App in my menu, after restart. How to enable it? I tried to install the app, but it says: "app not installed".
Thanks in advance
AW: OTA Update App needed
1.Just download the LG FOTA Client.apk and the LG FOTA Client.odex
And the LGFOTA.apk.
2.Move the 3 Files into /system.
3.Set the permission (look the other file and set the same).
4.Reboot.
And is completed

Well, I guess I made everything correctly...
I copied the apk files and odex in /system/app (also tried /system). Set the permissions to 644 - as other files in the folder (using Total Commander). Reboot and nothing happened. I still don't have the app in my menu. I don;t know how to make it work...
Edit: i pressed the wrong buttons lol, now i have poster a message.

Just re-flash the phone with the same version using "UpTestEX_mod2_marwin", choose the option "DIAG".
Takes 7 minutes and if the app is missing or the files corrupted will re-install them. All other apps/files and settings will remain.

So, I can be sure, that other apps, contacts and settings will remain after flashing it? Of course, I made a backup, but if I wanted to reinstall whole system I would have done it. But I just want to make this app work, because when the official update will come, I will update system using this app .
I hate how much hangouts lag and I know that the 8sms app from the play store is pretty close to a stock messaging app, but does anyone know why installing the mms.apk from CM11 or Gummy 4.4.2 wouldn't work? On both of them I get an "App not installed" message when I try to run them straight out of es file explorer. Is there something that I am missing?

Have you tried unzipping the ROM, placing the apk in the system/app folder, re-zipping, and flashing the new package?

No problem. The error was caused by the file permissions. Repackaging the ROM with that apk is the fast, easy, and painless way of getting it installed with the proper permissions.

For future reference, you can drop the APK in /system/app then go into CWM > advanced > fix permissions.

You copied both apps and pasted them in system/app and set permissions for both? If yes, then dunno.... Strange. Last resort, include them in the zip file of the ROM in system/app and reflash.

it is for jb or ics? I tried with miui rom and didn't work
Not working on minicm
is it working on CM10 ? or its a waste of time to try it
If it's not already in the devices device-tree and added in the rom or added by somebody already and working then probably not going to work.
It's already been mentioned in threads about FM radio not working.

For those who have problem with baidu folder being created here is the new update which fixes the problem.
Please find the below attachment
Delete baidu folder if exists
Install APK normally reboot to verify
Tested on XPeria ZL 283 Stock
Maybe dumb question, but why we need to delete this folder? It's not making phone work any worse or better!?!?
