Hate to say it then but you might have to wait for your current firmware to be updated. Do not try and downgrade!

Yea I just learned that the hardway.
SILVER lingin I managed to flash the modem from one of the older builds so I have 4.4 base with 4.2 modem. so it works but only time will tell how bad it ends up being.

I'm wondering the same thing about the stock firmware for the gsm dev edition. Punit Soni confirmed that all Dev editions come with the camera update already instealled on his google+ page.
But now i'm wondering if anyone has this firmware somewhere. There is this page http://sbf.droid-developers.org/ghost_rcica/list.php that has a list of several versions of the moto x but none of them are the dev editions...that I know of.
Thanks again.

In the AT&T file you want the NON-HLOS.bin and fsg.bin

[Q] Why am i still on 4.4.2?

I have an unlocked MOTO x and im on 4.4.2?? isnt 4.4.4 out now?
No, the last version is 4.4.3 and if you really need to update (there is no reason to do) first install a retail version firmware for your X model. (If there)
Here's the complete firmware list.

First, the person who answered you should have asked which device you are using (model number), and who your carrier is.
Second, the majority of us here don't recommend that you flash another carrier's firmware to your phone. Many things can go wrong, and if you ever revert back to the correct firmware, you have to use extreme caution to make sure you don't flash an OLDER firmware version to the phone, which can brick it!!! If you choose to flash a different firmware to your phone, do it at your own risk. You could end up with a paperweight.
Third, both the 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 updates are very MINOR updates. It isn't worth bricking just because you aren't patient, simply to (possibly) get another hour or two of battery life or a few small bug fixes.
I highly recommend that you simply be patient. Your carrier WILL release 4.4.4 eventually, and at that time you can simply take the over-the-air update assuming you haven't modified your /system or flashed custom recovery.
the update won't be noticeable to the users. it is bug fixes and a few tweaks. better to wait for 5.0 to come out

Slight correction... that is NOT the complete firmware list.
That site contains a copy of any SBF found or leaked... Sometimes it takes weeks after an OTA is pushed before a leaked SBF of that version is found and posted (think ATT 4.4.2)
They are "leaks" in the fact that they are not meant to be released to the public. As for how they "make it out" to end up on that site, well that is a different discussion that I don't want to get into.
That site is neither owned, operated, nor supported by Motorola.

also if you have had a locked phone PREVIOUSLY but unlocked it later, and you are using a carrier thats not the orginal one, I think that could also factor in as to why you are not getting updates. For example, if you had a moto x for ATT and you unlocked it to use for TMOBILE, you might have a delayed update or in some cases no update at all. Just my 2 cents.

It does not matter that your phone is unlocked. This is totally unrelated to receiving updates. Just FYI, NO ONE with a Moto X has received 4.4.4 yet (except MAYBE soak-testers). Only a handful of carriers are on 4.4.3.
The 4.4.3 upgrade was CANCELLED do to a bug being found, and instead, all the variants that hadn't released 4.4.3 are going to be upgraded STRAIGHT to 4.4.4 (skipping 4.4.3 entirely).
I don't think you understand just how much testing has to go into these upgrades before they are released.
Here is an EXCELLENT article that should explain it for you. The part you are interested in is called "The Big Hold-Up"

Probably killed my modem

Hello,
my moto voice stopped working and even a factory reset didnt help. So I unlocked my bootloader and everything from the Rom I downloaded. I got an error upon flashing the modem, but the script sadly still deleted modemst1 and 2. Everythng works now, except the phone is now Brasilian and I have no signal whatsoever. My Moto is a XT1092 if it helps. Help would be much appreciated
Indeed yo may killed to modem/radio, probably your carrie does not support the same bands as the retail brazil carrier. Which carrier are you?, all gsm bands still may work unless you have CDMA.

Im currently using o2 germany. Just got off the phone with the Repair company and they said if i have root or unlocked bootloader its fubar and they wont repair it. WTF....i found brazil or us stock firmwares, but no german one...
I doubt it is broken. But it may not work until you find a stock original ROM to flash. Maybe you should look for a UK or FR ROM , I believe there is only one ROM for xt1092, not a specific German one. It might be called EU ROM, but I haven't searched for it.

The Build that was running on it before definitely ended in DE. But I will keep searching for it. Do you think I should send it to a repari center and risk paying a lot of money, or should I just wait until a German Rom is released somewhere? I mean, Android L at least should fix it right up again.
Because you are not stock you won't be able to update it to lollipop... For the repair center you are the only one to be able to answer that question

I am stock, I actually managed to get my TWRP Backup back on the phone, so im on a German Rom again. Still, the modem doesnt work, as TWRP doest back that up.
I see... You have to find a stock radio and to flash it again.
I think someone with unlocked bootloader can probably extract it for you?

Yes exactly. I do not know how someone can extract the radio though...
I hope, Android L will flash a new modem. If that would be the case, my problem would be solved
Yes but again: if your modem not stock then no android L for you.

I know that, but I guess there will be someone who can grab the OTA and i can flash it manually
Good guess you're right. But I suggest you to ask someone with a xt1092 and an unlocked bootloader to extract radio for you, ask it in the dev section.

Don't downgrade or you will likely brick. And don't flash other carrier firmware either, or you could have other issues.
Why would you want to unroot? If it's for warranty repair, There's no point... They will see you've unlocked your bootloader no matter what you do.

I'd just want confirmation from others that flashing the EU version worked for them first. If you flash it and end up with issues, you'll be stuck if there's no version for your device. Again, with no downgrading.

is it possible to re lock the boot loader and get back warranty?
umm... naah... although there is a way to remove the warning sign in the boot...
in the moto x, its impossible to relock the bootloader
You can relock the bootloader, but it will show as "relocked".... Not locked as it originally was.

Reset my device to complete stock lollipop?

Hello,
I am running CM12.1 on my device at the moment but sadly my WiFi issue still persists.
I want to return to 100% stock lollipop (or any other if available).
I want to flash the whole device completely. Like delete every possible file and driver and install everything back.
How do I achieve this?
I don't see any stock lollipop images lying around this forum.
Bump!
I would like to do this not before giving it to the services station.

Anyway, what's your model number?

But the server is very slow.
Anyway, I used the Europe version a to restore my Asia Retail device to stock without any problem.
The ROMs for XT1052 are cross compatible since all the XT1052s have same hardware.
You'd be safe as long as you do not try to downgrade.

One last think I would like to ask is that, will they accept my phone with WiFi and Bluetooth not working with an unlocked bootloader?
I unlocked it to further diagnose the phone and flashed CyanogenMod.
As it seems that drivers are missing.
