I accidentally bricked my galaxy tab when I try to install Overcome Ware and I accidentally unplug the usb cable in the middle of the progress. I cannot boot into downloading mode no matter how hard I try. My tab only show a phone icon, an exclamation mark and a pc. Does my tab brick forever or what? Can you help me out. I'm very appreciate your help. Thank you so much for reading my thread.
That mode is also one type of download mode. Flash a stock rom like roto jmi with repartition.
i was DL new ROM to and my pc died and brickedmy P1000 and i can only see the phone ! PC sign if i have it plugged into electricity and ODIN doesnt recognize it if i plug it in to intall official 2.3.3.
what should i do?
I bricked my tab while flashing many times.
Try this:
1. Turn off your Tab then turn on.
2. Run Odin and connect to PC (Odin will not recognise it but its OK).
3. Just install the .PIT file (It'll be installed).
4. Your Tab will restart and you'll see "SAMSUNG".
5. Now goto download mode and install PDA,CSC or whatever else you want.
Done !

If u have warranty, claim it at Sammy service center telling them nothing about ur flashing business.
If not, read these threads and try one by one.

If nothing works, still try sammy service center.[Ur tab is worth of that service cost, isn't it?]
@IcedCube
What u told could have been told in a gentler way, couldn't it?
It seems that u have acquired ur Tab only yesterday and here u r giving ur "Valuable 2 cents" at a newbie.
BTW, our tab cannot be Hard bricked that easily and even PC-triangle-Device screen as well as a Blank screen also r Download modes for our Tab.
After a bad/stupid ODIN flash my tab now only shows the "Samsung galaxy tab" for 1 sec and turns of again.
I do think i some how i flash a wrong ROM to the device.
And to make things even more bad, my volume down button do NOT work.
So i guess my only solution is a RIFF JTAG solution... anyone here had success with this solution ??

If it still fires up, no need for that. Just start Odin, plug in the Tab and start it up. If Odin recognises it, you're on the safe side. But first get the Overcome GB-restock v5 and have it ready for a new 'blind' flash.

Overcome GB-restock v5 have been downloaded and ready for flashing.
But i am very sure that my TAB is hardbricked, because it ONLY shows the samsung logo for max 1 sec and the turnes off. And as mentioned my volume down button do NOT work
And i have tried to have it connected to the pc with ODIN up and running while i turn it on for that second but odin do not see it and it is off again before you can blink...
So JTAG service is the solution i think.. Just wish there was someone in London that did that.

Hmmm, weird... as long as the Samsung logo appears it's not bricked. Maybe the Google SDK can help then. It's including very basic ADB support, which should give you a way to connect the PC and your phone.
If not, sorry and good luck

And when that is done lets hope it will be on long enough to receive and execute an command like this one: adb reboot download or something like that..
If no go there i will send it it of for JTAG

If the phone's bootloader is still intact, that is you see at least the white Galaxy S/Samsung/AT&T logo or the "PC ! Phone" logo on the screen, you should be able to force it into download mode by connecting a homemade jig that simulates the Samsung "Anyway" field test jig. You can make this jig using a micro USB plug and a resistor.
And as mentiond i do see the Galaxy TAB samsung logo for 1/2 secound and it turns it self off. So is this conformation that my bootloader is intact?? If so HOW the BLIPP do i get my tab into download mode withoud my volum down button...

As I said before as long as there's a lifeform on screen, it's still not bricked. Anyway, the method described to build a 'fix' also means you don't need buttons to press. The problem for the Tab will be to find an USB-to-microUSB adapter that will plug into the Tab's cable. Once that hurdle taken, you'll be in Download mode and on your way to Odin's Wizardry...

Go a google search with "unbricking galaxy s jig"
It can be use for xperia mini too.
Gudluck!
It might be,battery suddenly empty. Its hard for phone to brick.Charge ur phone 1st at full... And choose the right baseband according rom prequistid. I b4 this rooted and installing CWM on this galaxy mini and the phone at samsung logo or samsung galaxy mini logo.
As on my condition, follow guide that been explained. If u have flashed the CWM, REBOOT. Then at samsung logo, press volume down, then u can access CWM. To avoid other probs, flash it with cyanogen mod. Or it maybe cant be loaded.
As far i concerned, for galaxy mini got 2 type of recovery. That is,
Enchanced recovery
&
Tass Recovery
For me,choose tass recovery.

(I think this set of steps works in these conditions: Hard-brick, absolutely non-responsive to any button combination. Odin still recognizes the phone when connected through USB port)
1.- Remove both the SIM card and de microSD card.
2.- KEEP YOUR BATTERY REMOVED
3.- Apply the Download-mode button combination (known by you all)
4.- WHILE HOLDING THE COMBINATION, insert the battery, and keep the buttons pressed untill you get the download mode.
5.- Flash your phone with a valid firmware through Odin (Preferebly, have Odin prepared before doing this trick)
I finally flashed it widh Gingerbread 2.3.4 but i don't really like it, because it ended up a little buggy, which i am still trying to get rid of.
Anyway, i hope this helps.
Have a nice day

This tutorial is very complicated and I have tried to explain it as best as I can, hope it help some of you guys.
PS. If you have any USB driver problems or windows deleted problems with device managers or drivers in general causing errors you must fix these problems first or use a different computer, if the drivers wont install properly you cannot do it on that computer.
EDIT: Gingerbread 2.3.4 firmware, I can confirm this works
Did I get some of the previous posts about using usb jigs for SGS on samsung galaxy GT S 5570 right??
What software is required?
Some USB jigs for SGS 900XX (as in 9000i 9003i etc) are available on line for between INR 250 to 600 (1 U$D is approx 49 INR).

1º Remove batery, sim card and sdcard
2º Conected to computer
3º At same time use the 3 buttons to enter in downloading mode and put the battery ( you need to ask for help because u cant do this alone)
4º Install your desire firmware by odin

Just see if you are able to go to the DOWNLOAD MODE.
If you can then you can easily flash your firmware through ODIN
When the phone is off, press Home + Power + Volume Down and hold.
If 'downloading' appears, you can flash a stock ROM and revive your ace.

The drivers i have are the ones from kies, and it connects without any problem..
idk where should I post, so I make same thread twice
well, looks like i'm totally f*cked up.
i have samsung galaxy ace (GT-S5830), but I've installed wrong custom rom. it is for GT-S5830i
here the rom goes : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2408748
after I press reboot on CWM, it just not powered on anymore. I even test with power supply, when I press power, it does not react!
the other problem is, my volume down key somehow break, so i can't use download mode!
will USB JIG work? it is VERY HARD to search USB JTAG here.
well, if you want to say buy a new phone, i have bought new one.
i bought this ace only for approximately $15 ... so it is not the real problem. but i love this ace somehow ...

Try installing any custom rom for Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 through CWM. If that still doesn't work, flash the stock rom using odin from your Download Mode. Do post the result. Hope I Helped

Usually if you install something not meant for your device, you basically hard-brick that device. If you have hard-bricked your phone, then you will not be able to go to Recovery Mode or Download Mode. In that case, you can try the guide by @SuperMini to force open Download Mode from odin. Here is the link,
How to unbrick Samsung Galaxy Ace
If that doesn't work, then you can try the USB Jig (not always guaranteed to work). If USB Jig did work, then it will force open the Download Mode so you can flash stock rom back using odin. If USB Jig doesn't work either, then your last option is to consult the Service Center. Do post the result. Hope I Helped
