You can't update this ROM via OTA Go to golden-guy's mediafire account, download the latest build from there and install it via recovery (you don't need to wipe anything, just flash it)
Thanks!

This is like a three part question. But first never flash any ROM without backing up all your installed apps data. Unless you don't care about data loss. So basically the ota is a new ROM. Yes it will erase your data. However it won't touch the data on your sdcard. Only the ROM data. Such partitions of /data, /system, & /cache. You would need to reflash gapps as a
cm ota wont have gapps preinstalled. Also you would need to make sure you have the latest recovery. Some 4.4 ROMs don't flash properly without the correct recovery.

That's the nature of updating. And if there wasn't gapps avail then it would mean it came out five minutes ago and just wait a hour or two and folks will create some. I take it your new to this. So lots of reading helps.

I wouldn't use any of the unofficial CM 11 builds if you need to use GPS. It was all over the place so I went back to 10.2 official. There isn't much to be excited about in 4.4 anyway. I didn't notice much of a difference.

As of right now you can only root this phone, it cannot have mods installed yet as the bootloader is still uncracked.
I've recently changed my ROM to VIRGINITY V13 and know I dont have stock apps like email. How can I obtain these apps?
Dont know if i've posted this in the correct sub forum.
Download and flash gapps, I would get a link but I'm on mobile... Just Google "gapps" and select the XDA thread then download from there

The option in the installer asks what you want to get rid of if I recall, you may of ticked so email and exchange were not installed. Screen shot shows email is included.

Try flashing 4.9.5 first, then flash the update. Worked for me. (AND DONT EDIT YOUR build.prop WITHOUT BACKUP IF YOU WANT TO GET OFFICIAL UPDATE)
Tell me if it works.

I have successfully updated my Moto X to lollipop.. I was would like to root my phone now but I have a question..
If I root my phone now.. How will I get the future updates??
I have rooted my previous phones but there I could get updated roms with updated system version.. But here I don't see any roms..
Thanks in advance.
Sent from the future...
As long as you don't change any of the system files you will get the updates. If you flash other Roms you have to use their updates or flash back to stock to take the update.
