also working in slovenia. Not sure if ****ty signal or it keeps disconnecting from network. Probably poor signal

also working in Romania...4G also works....flashed it and no personal data or setting we're modified.

The German rom has custom apps inside or is it free of non Samsung bloatwere? How's the rom? Better than 4.3 any issue?

Also works in Portugal [emoji106]

it also works way down here in Malaysia.

I need to know something please. i now have official 4.3 jb wich i got OTA 10 months ago from my carrier. If i flash the 4.4.4 german rom via Odin will knox be triggered to 0x1 ?

Yes

No. It's official rom. Only customs trigger.

i dont get it. if is an official samsung release why would that raise the flag. I've seen different opinions. some said that if is official the knox will stay 0x0.

OT Records Knox 0x0 or 0x1 indicates new bootloader, when you have old, you haven't any records about Knox. When you have 0x1 you are warranty off

ok. now i'm confused. if knox indicates new bootloader means that even if i update OTA the knox will be triggered. i mean kitkat 4.4.4 has a new bootloader. i think i'm getting it wrong.

I'm only interesting of your 1st question "If i flash the 4.4.4 german rom via Odin will knox be triggered to 0x1?" Because my brotheratlow flashed via Odin 4.3 on 4.1.2, an got new bootloader and told me got Flag 0x1 - warranty off. So I asked above "are you sure? @Rivalen1"
Additional information about knox and bootloaders:
- if you ever flash 4.3 or 4.4 via Odin or updated from OTA you have new Bootloader.
- if you bought your device and you dont know what bootloader you have, turn off your phone, reboot to download mode (hold power + volume down +home buttons) and when is there Knox flag 0x1 you have new and you are warranty off. When Knox flag is there 0x0 you have also new bootloader, but you are still in warranty and when you'll flash any custom recovery, you'll have then Knox 0x1 and you will be warranty off - so it's on your deciding. When isn't in download mode any records about about Knox, you still have old bootloader (btw congratulation ) and don't ever flash via Odin 4.3 and higher firmware - it's a pity.
Edit: now I'm reading here, that is true when it's official firmware via Odin, then knox warranty will stay on 0x0
Can somebody also confirm this?

"This is an official operation as Odin will be used for flashing the stock Android OS. Odin is a program developed by Samsung and used especially on update types of procedures. Also, Odin works only with Samsung branded devices. Thus, the warranty of your Galaxy S3 4G will not get void by applying the XXUFNI3 Android firmware. " This is what android geeks is saying.

Will you try it? If yes, leave here pls feedback . Thank you

original firmware downloaded from samsung(http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/) will NOT trigger knox. so happy flashing

@spiderman07 have you noticed bugs ? a general opinion compared to 4.3 pls.

Did you download the firmware from sammobile?

So i flashed 4.4.4 dbt firmaware. everything went fine. i noticed some changes...overall is good. I'll come back with a feedback after I test 'im a little. btw...knox remained 0x0 so after all oficial releases don't void knox warranty.

I don't want to downgrade or update the firmware. I just want to reinstall it trough odin, flash the same version. Will it also trigger the knox bit to 0x1? And I noticed that i don't have 'KNOX WARRANTY VOID 0x0' on the downloader mode screen, i have just 'KNOX KERNEL LOCK 0x0' and nothing about Knox warranty bit. is it good or what?
It's not fair to camouflage your Q as noob. You've been around here since 2007 and like to have other do the research for you and serve you the answers.
Like here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27059289
Now, please follow the link I posted for you in first answer and read several posts. Hopefully you discover that "4.4.2 original" is not a single universal solution fit for any device. Perhaps check sammobile.com
I've read the thread You send me but, I found a root site seems to be official and proper. They say that:
"How does this KNOX Counter work?
Under what circumstances will KNOX Counter be flagged or tripped?
The KNOX Counter WILL NOT be flagged or tripped when using Samsung Kies or Odin to flash a stock ROM.
The KNOX Counter WILL BE flagged or tripped when you flash a third-party Recovery (like CWM/TWRP) or custom ROM."
Samsung KNOX Counter you should know
So that's why cannot understand which is true...

Well first off, according to the firmware, it seems you have the AT&T version. The label on the phone is wrong, in fact, that label looks fake. The font is wrong.
Anyway, I am assuming you want to stick with the AT&T firmware for this. Use the stock build, it's the easiest to root.

Warning: That will BRICK your device!!!
You're running OF2, on the G900A that version contains an updated bootloader and blows a qfuse. You can't ODIN back to NCE from that build. You're stuck on OF2.
Unfortunately, there is no ODIN file for you to restore the OF2 installation, so you have to ODIN to OI5 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53454972&postcount=1 first link)

i need some serious help here.
i have the same problem.
it's a little different from yours.
i've just bought a samsung S5 G900f as the phone info says and the sticker under the battery as well.
my phone is running kitkat 4.4.2
and can't get any update via software update.
for the record, the phone shows the AT&T software update which means i need an AT&T SIM card to get an update.
i'm frm morocco and if its An AT&T version of s5 , that means it was unlocked.
when i go to bootloader it says G900A....
as well as the download mode says it's a G900A
i took my EMEI and put it in emei.info website they said it is a G900f.
i installed an app from play store called phone info.
it says that my phone has A G900A bootloader , A G900A baseband version , an AT&T finger print build , and an AT&T original CsC code and an AT&T firmware's CsC code and states that the Csc country is Usa and the hardware revision is G900A.00
but on the other hand it says that my build number is G900FZHU1AND1.
please, anyone here can help me out with this.
what phone model do i have ?
what firmware should i flash via odin ? the G900f or G900A one?
will flashing An AT&T firmware lock my device network again if it was obviosly unlocked?
Please guys i need help.

Flash a G900F firmware and if it bricks come back here for unbrick instructions. Sounds to me like your seller flashed a G900A firmware on a G900F.
Network locks are carrier-side, not device-side. No matter what you flash, if the device was unlocked it will remain unlocked.

Cannot flash stock ROMs, why?

I downloaded the files from this thread, which match my PDA and CSC:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s6/general/odin-tar-files-sm-g920a-t3103835/page2
However, Odin doesn't start. Not after 30 minutes, it stops at NAND WRITE.
I no longer have a baseband visible.
Phone is Galaxy S6 SM-G920A

Knox is 0x0, warranty bit is intact.
It's a 5.0.2 Lolipop OS.
It's a very strange situation. IMEI is null/null, baseband is gone, but I can boot the phone fine, and even use PingPong Root without trouble. But there's no radio at all.
If the phone is an sgh-i337 from AT&T, you cannot flash any stock ROMs from updato.com or sammobile.com.
AT&T never released any full ROMs after 4.1.1. All updates for the s4 were pushed via OTA.
The XDA link is for the s6. You flashed the PDA and CSC for an s6 via Odin?

Unlocked Samsung Stock Firmware on AT&T Note 8 Questions

Hey All -
As a newbie I'd like to get some clarity as it's a little unclear to me still....I almost purchased a Note 8 from my carrier (AT&T) and
prefer to remove all the bloat so I wanted to get more details before finalizing my purchase. So the phone would be a Snapdragon CPU and carrier locked - which isn't a big deal for me. My goal would be to install pure Samsung firmware and be able to receive updates from Samsung without waiting for the carrier and remove the bloat.
Btw, I did a forum search and found something close but it was a Verizon related topic.
So my questions:
1) Is this possible without tripping knox?
2) What is lost between stock firmware and carrier firmware other than bloat? I'm assuming all the bands and network features keep working as before.
I'm also assuming since the IMEI number is an ATT branded phone Wi-Fi Calling and VoLTE is not lost or is CSC uploading still required with stock firmware?
Thanks!

There isn't much bloat on them anymore these days. Yes, anything you do will prompt Knox. You can disable almost any app now without rooting the phone, so no root is needed at all for that purpose. Just disable it in settings, or if not allowed on a specific app to do that, just install "BK Disabler" from the play store.

I've flashed the stock rom through Odin and fairly certain it didn't trip Knox or any issues that aspect since my company verifies Knox compliance.
With the stock rom I get my hotspot through AT&T which I couldn't on the AT&T rom, I just used the tutorial on here to flash it with no problems. I will get the updates for the U1 when it gets pushed down and have got security updates just fine. You can disable a lot of apps already though on AT&T stock
Oh and you don't lose anything other than the AT&T pre installed garbage that nobody really uses
**edit just checked and yes I'm 0x0 on Knox so it didn't trip it
Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
Yes you absolutely can install the unlocked 950U1 firmware on your ATT device. All the 950U devices are identical and the firmware is 100% interchangeable and will NOT trip KNOX. I'm running for T-Mobile firmware on a Verizon Note8 right now. KNOX is only tripped when you flash unofficial firmware, such as custom recovery and ROM.
There's really not much of a reason to do it though. Theres very little bloat on these, and you will lose VoLTE and WiFi calling by flashing the unlocked firmware.
But if you still want to flash the unlocked firmware, follow this post:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/how-to/guide-sm-n950u-u1-t3685884
Did you guys who flashed stock firmware get stuck with the 80% battery issue? Cause I thought about it just to get Oreo early but I don't want to lose 20% of my battery. Also have any of you tried to flash a regular update to a carrier note 8 using the update from SD card option?

Flashing firmware from a different region

Hi all, I'm new to modding in general so there's many things I don't quite understand, hoping somebody can help.
I bought an S10 from a site which was supposed to just send me a refurbed (italian) S10, instead they sent me the US version, (G973U) and I believe it is carrier locked since it's stuck with Android 9 and doesn't find any update.
I have tried searching to no avail what I should flash to simply unbrand it, and allow it to receive OTA updates without tripping Knox.
The build version is the following: PPR1.180610.011.G973USQU2ASGC and the CRC is XAA/XAA/ATT
Thanks in advance.
You shall call them.
Who and what for? I'm past the point of dealing with those sellers, I just want to flash the phone.
CSC (not CRC).
XAA is a multi-region USA ROM, so I don't think it will change over properly for you in Italy. There are threads here for how you reflash a different ROM. The one I used for my S10+ was this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...e-links-and-flashing-discussion-here.3905897/ but I am sure there is one like that for your S10 non-plus... find it, follow the instructions, and you should be all set.
Thanks! I'm a newbie, what does it mean it wouldn't change properly? No OTAs? Tripping KNOX?
I have found this which seems to be the equivalent of the link you posted.
So, I should flash the U1 version right? However I see only a file "SAU - 1 - ....", and my build number doesn't end in that, furthermore I don't know which bootloader version I'm at.

Oh ok. I couldn't understand first.
For that, You'll flash in EDL mode. But the problem is if your device is powered by a snapdragon chip, it'll not working seamlessly.

No problem. I'm aware of the mode I have to enter to flash, as above I'm trying to figure out which stock rom I should flash to avoid tripping knox, and to receive OTAs. What won't work seamlessly?
Well, mods can close the thread, found the way to do it. Leaving it in case somebody ever needs it.
First, found & checked the bootloader version (5th number from the right in the build version) since you can only flash older bootloader versions apparently.
Then downloaded through Frija the rom for the unlocked phone variant (SM-G973U1) and the unbranded CSC (XAA)
Then using odin 3.13.3b flashed the rom

Hello, I'm in more or less same situation. When you flashed, which files did you use? All of them or just the AP_*** file?
Never mind. Flashed it anyway, now I don't see the AT&T startup screen anymore which is promising. Firmware version is now Android 11 (SM-G973U1 and not SM-G973U) on XAA CSC. Will see if I get any firmware updates later.
