You pre order the note 4 and at the same time trade in any smartphone valued at over $10. To T-Mobile or wherever. Upload those receipts to the Samsung promo website and they mail you a card for the difference between the value T-Mobile gave you and $200. (If T-Mobile quoted $30, Samsung gives you $170 for a total of $200)

In the small print at the bottom of the Samsung offer page: https://samsunggalaxypromotions.com/Note4/ it says "Limit three Offer claims per household."
Just to confirm that I'm comprehending this correctly, the site says:
"Trade in any working smartphone at a participating retailer (minimum $10 trade in value)."
"....get a guaranteed total trade-in of $200 on any working smartphone."
Then it says:
". If you submit a valid Offer claim within the time period, you will receive a check equal to the difference of $200 less the trade-in value of your eligible working smartphone."
What do they mean by "eligible?"
1. Does it have to be an Android OS smart phone? Or can it be a generic OS like those throwaway smart phones at the store?
2. Do you need the charger? Or just the phone itself?
If all holds true, I'm able to trade in my old piece of crap 'working' Sprint smart phone (it's not even Android, but it's a smartphone) to receive a $10 trade in + a check/card for $190 from Samsung?
If this is what I think it is....why would someone NOT take advantage of this amazing offer? LOL...

tmobile has them in stock for this price or it was problematic to get one?
do I need a plan or I can buy just the phone?
T-Mobile doesn't sell it in this country as O2 have exclusivity over it for one month.
I wouldn't buy on contract anyway, it's a rip-off. PAYG is a rip-off too. The only price that is reasonable is the Play Store.

What about O2 stores?
I asked on Twitter and tmo said you can't buy it off contract online due to their low stock.

Just letting everyone know that I was able to pick up a Nexus 4 at a t- mobile retail store. At first they told me they were in stock but couldn't be sold yet. About 10 minutes later this story changed and they said they could sell it to me. Pricing is different than buying directly from Google but it is available.
This was in Raleigh North Carolina.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
My local T-Mobile also has a few Nexus 4's in stock. I'm with AT&T though so I don't know if it has any T-Mobile bloatware on it or not.
Was the pricing full retail for TMO or Google?
$549 for the 16 GB Nexus 4 at my local T-Mobile.
Full retail unless you go with a "classic contract". But the classic contracts are inflated and cost more in the long run.
I have not found any bloatware.

I purchased one at the College Station, TX TMo store. It has zero bloatware. Also, it rooted just fine and is already running cm10.1. this is a pretty incredible phone.

Well I didn't buy it. Thats the price they told me when I called a couple hours ago.
$500 plus tax at 10% is about $550. Seems a little high... Maybe that's with activation?

If you're in Lansing, MI there are a few Nexus 4s in stock at the T-mobile at Frandor Plaza. Hit up Kerry, he'll hook you up. :good:
I just picked mine up from T-Mobile. New promotion at work demanded the capabilities of a smartphone for email. Works paying for it so might as well get the phone I want and not wait
I was at CES and knew from the rep there it would be in stores by the 16th. Thanks BTW from the dude with the white helmet. Managed to hold off on getting a smartphone since they came out. Yay me for being poor till now.
I tried the Droid DNA and hated Sense. This thing is beast.

Yeah they have it at a couple of stores here in San Antonio for $218 with a 2 year upgrade or new line/contract.
I was just going to buy it outright. But I decided to let my companies monthly cell expense pay for the phone via contract.

That's insane, with T-Mobile they did it for free for me. However if you can't get them to provide, which I think they are required to, check eBay. Make sure they can unlock it first though before paying.

That's not insane its just being greedy, the other side to the story is this phone is old and I got an upgrade that replaced the T679. Just want to give the phone to a friend so that he can use it but they still charge you a flat fee of $75.
That Bell Canada for you
$75 is outrageous! I've looked around a few months ago... Average price for this phone is about $30
Already gave my money away to one of those phone unlock websites (scam). With no results.

Cellunlocker.net is reliable.

I checked reviews on their website and a lot of people has been ripped off.
They also used other couple names, Unlock-Code-Warehouse.com, Unlock-Code-World.com, TheUnlockDepot.com
Well unfortunately, there is no way to do it yourself without MI9 or earlier firmware. You will either have to contact AT&T or buy it from a legit seller.

By way does anyone know if they drop the no contract price by $100.00 as well. I just bought my no contract one only 6 days ago.

Not likely. I would think the discount is an incentive for new customers or for people looking to sign a new 2-year contract agreement. The last paragraph of the article could use some clarification, though.

What do you wanna bet that Samsung made out better than HTC did with this stupid deal.
I know several people that were interested in this deal and they were sold out, so guess what they came home with !!
A Samsung.
How could you start something like this with out good stock?
And they are probably low on stock because of all the early faulty units.
