[Q] CM-11 Android 4.4.4 HTC One Verizon Radio update - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am running CM-11 Android 4.4.4 HTC One Verizon.
I have noticed that I never connect to LTE when using the default preferred network type of CDMA+LTE/EvDO, however if I change it to LTE I often can connect using LTE however then I cannot receive phone calls.
I have been looking for updated firmware for the radio however I have been unable to find them for 4.4.4. My baseband version is 1.13.41.0109_2. I have seen updates but they are all for 4.4.3. Can I use the firmware for 4.4.3 for Android 4.4.4? If not where can I find them?
Thanks,
Kirk
PS: this is my first time running a rooted custom rom so please bear with me.

[Q] Moto x Carrier Free

I was wondering if there was a way to change my moto x xt1058 (currently with 4.4.2 Movistar Argentina) to an international or carrier free firmware?
I looked up in the firmware link from motorola and there seems it doesnt exist a 4.4.4 update, yet for the moto G it doesnt either but my brother currently have his on 4.4.4
Thanks in advance guys
AFAIK there's no international or carrier-free firmware per-se. You may want an AOSP-based ROM like SlimROM, DirtyUnicorns, etc.
You can flash a bloatware free version, though, but it will still be based on some carrer's ROM.
As of today, only Verizon has released its official 4.4.4 and will be full of bloatware also.
fortunately my phone came bloatware-free.
So the only 4.4.4 update out there is Verizon's?
My idea was to flash a firmware from which i would be able to get the earliest OTAs

Not only is this very risky (flashing another carrier's ROM), but also it doesn't mean that you'll get updates quickly at all!
In the case of the Moto X, Motorola has staggered the updates across all carriers. The camera update came first for 1 carrier. Then the 4.4 update came first for a different carrier. The 4.4.2 update was first for yet another carrier. The 4.4.3 update came first for the XT1053, and the 4.4.4 update came first for Verizon. There is nothing you can do to make sure you receive updates "earliest" - unless you switch carrier ROMS each time a new update is released. Not only is this ill-advised, but it could leave you with an expensive paperweight.
My advise is be patient. Your carrier WILL get it soon.

Update to latest version

Hello guys,
My father just got himself a Moto X 2013 from an Argetinian local carrier (Movistar). The phone came with 4.2.2 (jelly bean), and we're trying to figure out a way to update it to KitKat. The OTA menu says that the device is running the current version..
Thank you in advance,
Fede
Nevermind guys
I found a tutorial on the Movistar forums.. Spanish speakers! Check this out:
https://comunidad.movistar.com.ar/threads/14008-Moto-X-a-4-4-3!-Oh-SI!#.VCIdGb5Ojy9
It basically says flash the "international/retail/latin america" version and then it will update via OTA to 4.4.4

Flashing T-mobile ROM onto AT&T Moto X

Hello all,
I flashed a T-mobile 4.4.4 ROM onto my AT&T 4.4.4 Moto X today to test it. I've since reverted back to my AT&T 4.4.4.
My question to you...is there any real benefit over the T-mobile ROM, other than little to no bloatware?
Pros, or Cons?
I found that my 4g LTE was working, and WiFi too. Everything seemed to work. IDK about Wi-Fi calling?
Thanks
Where did you find 4.4.4 for T-Mobile? I thought the latest was 4.4.3.
I flashed my brother's nandroid, and did a factory reset on it afterwards. It worked fine, but I want to know if there is any real benefit. :good:
Thanks
Was this to one with a locked bootloader? I'm assuming not.
I unlocked my bootloader on my XT1058...Just wanted to know if there were pros, or cons to using a T-mobile ROM on my AT&T X.
Would WiFi calling work? I'm assuming not, as it's based on carriers network, but I thought I'd ask.
Thanks!

If you have T-Mobile version switch back to stock using motox toolkit.. Now you will be on stock 4.4.3 and then go to settings -system update.. You will see update to 4.4.4 ..its not a major updates it also SSL fix regarding to heartbleed bug
Sent from my XT1053 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

[Q] Rooting for Free Hotspot

Hey all, I just got my replacement Sprint HTC One (M7) and it hasn't been updated to Lollipop. I was having trouble getting my free hotspot running even with my old rooted (TWRP) M7. Does anyone have any recommendations on getting free Hotspot running on the current settings before I update?
HTC One M7 (Kitkat 4.4.2)
SW: 5.03.651.3
If any other info is needed please let me know. I'm not a total newb, but i do need some assistance. I've tried searching but the answers have evaded me.

I'm running the M7 with kitkat and have had no trouble with the hotspot. I did install a custom rom that has the hotspot built in. (Bad boyz sprint one kitkat v1.2 ) When ever I upgrade to a lollipop based rom however the hotspot no longer works.

Thank you, that's exactly what I wanted to know. I guess I'll have to stick to a custom Kit Kat ROM for now since Lollipop based ROMs loose free hot spot at the moment and rooted stock ROM doesn't have a free hot spot fix.

compatible modem for LTE?

I m currently using indian variant of moto x (xt1052) which was initially launched with 4.4.2 onboard in india.
After a lot of research i found out that even jellybean firmware is available for it and so by using fastboot along with xt1053's firmware , i successfully downgraded from 5.1 to 4.2.2 but a foll. problem occured:-
I was able to get network but LTE data wasn't working even when turned on for a long period of time and so can you please suggest me some twrp flashable modems for xt1052 which can run data perfectly on my moto x on jellybean firmware?
Thanks in advance for your cooperation and time.
