Is the D3 (in store, at full retail price) confirmed to be $450?
i want to know that too
I picked mine up in-store today at full retail. The price was the same as it is online - $459.99.
Awesome!! Thanks

Little off from the original question but I was able to get mine for $99.99.
I was eligible for a new phone, minus an extra $30 credit, and a local Verizon store was doing an extra $50 off any 3g Android device. I believe the rep I dealt with gave me a little extra off somehow too to get to the $100 mark. I was going to trade in my Droid 1 for an extra $20 off that but my cousin busted his screen so I decided to be a nice guy and give it to him.
For a $100 I'm very happy over the Droid 1.
can the D3 be bought without any contract?

Yes. That's what this thread is discussing. $459.99 full retail (which means you don't sign a contract and buy the phone outright) at Verizon.
$459.99 here as well. Bought one on launch day off contract.
Ended up running me $497

I'm pretty sure dipwhitty meant that's the price including sales tax.
Ah, gotcha. Thanks!
So can this one be unlocked?
Thanks
Before I got mine online for full price I called a store and they said 600 bucks. So that proves that verizon employees don't know jack. Ishould of called a different store but I just ordered it instead. I knew it was 459 at the store.

Expansys-USA.com, which doesn't charge tax in most states, now has the new Nexus devices up for pre-order.
Additionally, you can use MrRebates.com to get 2% cash-back.
Thanks for the heads up. But it doesn't tell me if they will charge me sales tax in California. If I don't know this then it's not worth pre-ordering through them. Can anyone tell me if they do based on past experience?

From the website:
1.5 Sales tax is also charged on all shipping charges for orders delivered in Illinois.

They don't charge you until you accept the cost once they get their shipment. No risk just pre-ordering and finding out if there's sales tax later
is there any benefit buying this from Expansys vs the Play store besides that you can pre order right now?
Looks like this is for the 8gb model, do they have pre-orders up for the 16gb model?

I ordered my Galaxy Nexus from them a few months ago. Wasn't charged tax or shipping to California on, at that time, a $400 purchase.

Oh wow! I live in California as well.
So no tax and free shipping correct?
How long did it take for you to get your phone from your previous order?
Very curious, as I might order from Expansys

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Just weary of putting my bank info out there if I don't have to so I like to know its a sure thing before pre-ordering.
Also want to make sure this comes with a U.S. 1-year warranty from Google. I'm used to Expansys being the place you order foreign phones from and if anything goes wrong you have to ship them over to Europe or whatnot to get them fixed
What do you guys think about the price on Expansys? Will it be much bigger than 300usd compare to the Google Store? If not, I would order it from EU.

Yeah, my order came out to no tax and no charge for shipping.
Ordered it on a Thursday afternoon, was ready to ship by Saturday and got it 4 days later in a small box on my doorstep via FedEx Ground.
Great phone, but looking forward to the Nexus 4 and considering ordering it from them again to save on shipping/tax to California. Plus cash back is available at various sites.

Sounds Great, looks like I'll most likely be ordering from Expansys.
Just going to see what a few other pre-order sites have to offer.

Wanted to order from there, they accept intl' ordering and credit cards... (I'm sending to the US)

Best deal I have seen in the US for the Gear. I got mine for $99 in Canada, but I also have to pay GSTs and shipping to the US.
@nviz22, keep in mind the one you got is brand new, while this one is refurbished. Though since its BB Geek Squad, these refurb'd units are most likely just customer returns.

All should know too that many times "refurbished" only means it was returned to the store without anything wrong with it. They cannot then sell it as "new", so they have to call the item refurbished. In the case of the Gear, where we heard it had a high return rate late last year, I would take advantage of an offer like this if you see it come up again.

Yeah, that's fine, but I am just saying that's been the best deal for the Gear in the US so far from what I have seen. It's a good value purchase at $130 anyways. For $300, the original price, not worth it. I chose the Gear 1 for the functionality and price. The Gear 2 only has a heart rate sensor and IR Blaster, which cannot vouch for a $200 price difference.
Pricing update FYI
Just thought I would post for those that are interested.
Amazon has the original Gear for 120.33 they are listed as used but they are being shown as Amazon Warehouse inventory which very often are customer returns. Free two day shipping if you are a prime member as well. Also eligible for standard return and refund policies from Amazon. Also this is for Jet Black.

With the custom rom, does it work with all phones now or still stuck with Sammy?

Just picked one up today from Best Buy's eBay site. $89 - $20 eBay loyalty coupon that splashed on the screen.
Could not pass up for $69.
Probably will sell it the instant the Moto watch comes out, but for now, it's a cheap toy!

If buy Moto Care for the Moto X, and need a replacement under Advanced Damage Protection, is it possible to change personalization options, or are you locked into the design, personalization, etc. that you initially had?
Are you talking the Moto X or Nexus 6?
I think that you get a code to make a new phone but they may send you a temp phone for yours to get repaired. I think it depends what happens to you phone.
Sent from my XT1095 using Tapatalk
Sorry, edited post. Moto X. I hear they only do replacement (not repair), but I'm wondering if they go the "code" route (which would allow you to modify/make changes), or will only send you one physically identical.
I cracked the screen on my 16gb standard black X, I won't get into all the details but I had a less than enjoyable experience with customer service. Eventually I was sent a matching replacement and two days later I was emailed a promo code to Motomake another one, 32gb slate back with a charger and case and was sent another promo code for $25 off any accessory. I don't have damage protection and wasn't charged the $135 replacement cost.

So, you got a replacement AND a moto maker code? So you had to in essence, return two phones?
Sorry forgot to mention that; Yes I had to return the replacement not the Motomaker.

Heads up to everyone. Got one of these on Groupon last week. Works great.
$9.99 for the Motorola Quick Charge. Came in the mail quick. Only gripe I have is the cord is rather short.

Too bad shipping isn't free. $4 shipping on a $9.99 item is just too steep.
is this even compatible with the g4

My Aukey for 10.99 shipped new has been pretty reliable. Remember, the $14 shipped one is refurbished.
Sounds great. Will go!
I'd trust moto refurbished over Chinese no name brand or small time.
