Hello,
I tried installing Android Revolution HD. Whenever I booted my phone, it kept getting stuck at the splash screen (Google [with the unlocked hanglock]). So after a quick Google, I read that this could be fixed by flashing the firmware found in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2182823.
I followed the instructions and when I reached the following step:
Type: fastboot flash zip firmware.zip and wait for process to complete.
Click to collapse
an error appeared on my computer's command prompt and my phone rebooted.
When I now boot my phone, I get a weird warning by HTC on the Google splash screen:
This build is for development purpose only. Do not distribute outside HTC without HTC`s permission
failure to comply may lead to legal action.
Click to collapse
and the phone still hangs on this splash screen.
When I reboot my phone using POWER + VOLUME DOWN and then enter fastboot mode, my computer no longer (it did before) recognizes my phone
USB Device not recognized.

.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks!

Thanks for the fast reply.
Unfortunately, I can't start fastboot. If I select fastboot and plug my phone into my computer, I get a windows error "USB device not recognized" (this did not happen before I tried to flash the firmware).
(I do know my CID is HTC__11 and my modelid is PN0710000)

Is your phone s off or s on? What firmware did you flash?
You need to update your drivers then. Re download the HTC drivers and try again. Use a different cable if you have one and ensure usb 2.0 ports, also are you Windows 8.1?

Thanks for your fast reply,
- My phone was S-OFF (I don't know whether the flashing of the firmware can change this?)
- I flashed the following zip: 2.17.401.1-custom.zip, downloaded from the Android Revolution HD blogspot.
- I'll try to re-download the HTC drivers, but it would surprise me if this solved the problem, because it worked like 2 hours ago (before I flashed the firmware).
- I used a USB 3.0 port and Windows 8.1, however, I also tried on a Windows 7 computer with a USB 2.0 port, but still, no success.

Can you still get to the HBOOT menu? If so, does the device show up if you select the FASTBOOT option on the HBOOT screen?
It should change the screen to FASTBOOT USB mode.

Well you could put it into HBOOT USB mode and try running the RUU again and see if there is any difference.
when i go for HBOOT USB mode i get
ERROR [120]: MAIN BATTERY POWER
This error message will appear when the Android phone’s battery power is not sufficient (Batter power should be more than 30%). Although RUU will instruct you to plug in the AC adapter, it will still need to make sure that your Android phone has enough power to complete the update. (The Android phone cannot charge the battery when it is connected to the PC while installing the RUU).

I had something like that before when I tried to go back to stock. Basically I flashed the RUU, got rid of cwm recovery and all that, and I ended up getting stuck on the HTC logo white screen, with it refusing to boot.
I ended up going back to cwmr and a custom ROM.
So maybe the best way for you to be able to use your phone would be to go and put a custom ROM on it. However mine was S-OFF so it was easy for me to flash recovery again, I've forgotten how to go S-OFF from S-ON but you should be able to do it without booting.
However I would also know how to go back to stock.
Yea you can use PG32IMG.ZIP method.
If still not , Unlock your bootloader and install a custom rom.
I will use this method once i get back home
run the ruu again in pc.. and extract the rom.zip from temp folder in pc.. it will be in c drive-your user name-appdata-local-temp and search rom.zip.. rename it to PG32IMG.ZIP make sure its not PG32IMG.ZIP.ZIP

I had the same problem a few weeks back. The phone was not recognised by any computer. If you fiddle around with the micro usb on the phone it would recognise the phone for a second. It took me nearly two weeks of trying, to flash a RUU and get the phone back to stock for a repair.
I asked in the shop if this was common and the lad said it has happened to others. It is dust that gets in the usb and people cleaning shorts the motherboard???? I didn't clean anything so I don't know if this is true.
Anyway I got a replacement phone. Maybe you should keep it at stock and get a replacement. If it happens once it will happen again.
Try uninstalling HTC Sync, if you haven't already, uninstall driver, reinstall HTC Sync and see if you can't get the PC to see it. And when the pop up on the phone comes, check always allow.
When I type lsusb : I don't see my One..
htc drivers and htc sync don't works everytime it say unknown device..
Hi all,
I can't get my phone recognised when it's in fastboot mode. I tried all the drivers i found (my PC runs W8.1), with or without HTC Sync installed, with different adb and fastboot aplications but still nothing. Also I noticed that when I connect my phone to the PC in fastboot mode it in the beginning shows "FASTBOOT" and then, if I go up/down, it starts showing "FASTBOOT USB".
I don't know how to fix this. Can someone help me please?
Thank you all very much!
Which version of Win are you running?
And, if you open the device manager how is recognized the phone?

I guess I'll paste my answer from the last post asking the same question
You'll need another PC to make it work.
The only for sure way to get fastboot working on windows 8.1 is to update your hboot to 1.55.000 and up or the hboot 1.54.000 from the GPE from the Android 4.4 update. Once your on these hboot fastboot and adb work fine in windows 8.1 x86 or x64.
the dark bootloader files here are all updated to the newer version hboot

ADB Works but Fastboot does not...
So tonight I decided to venture into the idea of pushing the GPE on to my HTC One. I unlocked the bootloader and got S-Off (The 2 prerequisites for the conversion). I loaded TWRP for the recovery mod and rooted it by installing SuperUser. Then came time to push the GPE RUU over to the phone using these instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2358781
Before I pushed the ROM my bootloader screen looked like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/r7jodkxh8gq7epy/2014-04-22 21.07.51.jpg
When I was pushing it, everything stalled, and it disconnected from the computer. I now no longer have any access to the Fastboot, my computer is saying that the usb device is not recognized by my computer and my bootloader screen now looks like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0zap1jiykeqrd9a/2014-04-23 00.00.06.jpg
If I boot into Android, it boots up in the stock AT&T version and I still have ADB control over USB. I run the prompt [ADB reboot bootloader] and it does what it is supposed to, boots it up to the bootloader, but again it is the broken version that I have no access to fastboot with.
I can still load up TWRP and run anything in there that I need. I have tried clearing all caches and doing factory resets with no success. I am at a loss and everything I am finding online is telling me that it is a driver issue or windows 8.1 issue, but if that were the case, then why would I have had Fastbook access before attempting to push the GPE ROM?
Any help here would be amazing. The phone still works as a phone which is a plus, but I would really like to be able to either successfully load the Google Play Edition on it or get everything back to stock for warranty reasons. Thanks so much for your help in advance!! I look forward to trying some new solutions soon!

It's because you're original hboot was 1.55 which works with Win 8.1, but after the first flash hboot got downgraded and therefore "broke" for Win8.1.
Use a Windows 7 PC to complete the conversion, or if you don't have access to one, you can make an Ubuntu Live USB (you can check in my guide under the FAQs how to do that).
and do not ever go S-On again!!!!
@nkk71 Is there any way to get the hboot back to 1.55? I did get it working last night by accident. I used my wife's Win7 computer just to try a different USB port, didn't know why it fixed it but just went with it hoping to understand it later. I would however love to get my phone back to a state that I don't feel like it is broken when I load the bootloader.
Thanks for the response though. Glad I at least understand what happened to it.

Hello.I am in some kind of a trouble..I just bought a phone with firmware problems, hoping i could make it work. The problem is this, someone tried to update the firmware, unsuccesfully, and now it's stuck with no OS.I can only start recovery and bootloader.
Recovery is Teamwin 2.6.3.3.Already tried to clear cache and everything,to use an USB with OTG,but it's not recognised,ADB sideload also it's not working.
adb devices shows the phone is not connected, and FastBoot says "Waiting for device".Any idea? I've tried, read a lot,but I can't really work it out..
Also,I can't find the device in Device Manager, neither in ADB nor Fastboot.
I tried using Windows 8.1 and 7..Same deal.

First, follow instructions given in this post to install the latest android sdk-tools and the latest htc drivers. Also make sure you don't have HTC Sync installed on your computer.
Then connect your phone to you computer with the original cable (or any other cable already known to work for data transfer - some usb cable are only providing power), reboot the phone in bootloader mode by holding vol down and power. Make sure you see the red "fastboot usb" caption on the screen, if not use vol up/down and power to select the "fastboot" menu. Once there open a command window form the android sdk-tools folder and type "fastboot getvar all". Copy/paste the ouput of this command here (except the imei and serialno).
I've followed that,and still not working.pics attached.
It's very weird, because I was expecting for a soundfrom the Windows, like a new device connected .But ..nothing

Ok so its not detected at all
Might be caused by
a bad usb cable --> Try another one that you are 100% sure its working
a bad usb port on the computer (use only usb 2.0 ports btw)
a problem with the computer ---> Try another computer.
a bad usb port on the phone ---> need to replace the usb/front mic board
Might also worth to fix your laptop drivers problem. Might be causing problem if the "unknown" device is an adapter or usb controller...
Then reboot the computer.
I think we can exclude the first two, because I've tried 2 different USB cables, and with my S2 ,both of them are working, even ADB.I will try to replace the usb port from the phone, and then try again. But,do you think it will work ?
Thank you!

Its hard to tell, there isn't any background info about what was done on that phone. The usb board is pretty cheap so it worth a try if you are 100% sure everything else is fine (computer, cables etc..)
I understand, but,I mean,as far as I know,it's not hard brick, because the phone is still booting..in some way ..so if I manage to connect it,I can flash the rom..am I right?

Normally it should be pretty easy to fix if you can get fastboot and adb connectivity. You could then update the firmware so you can flash the correct RUU to restore the phone back to stock, already made the research and all the files (firmware and ruu) you'll need are available.

Sorry for the late reply, the phone is now in service,in 1-2 days they should fix the USB board, and I will get back with more info soon.
Thank you very much for your quick answers and for taking time to help me!
Good news,I've managed to unbrick it.I asked a friend with a Mac to check it out,and his Mac recognized with no problems.Installed the Os,but still,Windows can't detect it.I've tried on 2 pc's(7 and 10) with the proper drivers.Weird..
Anyway,thank you for your time @alray !
Hi. I decided to flash my Honor 3c with Cyanogenmod 12.1. My problem is that i need TWRP (now I have CWM) but i can't flash it to my device. I try to do it by SP Flash Tool, but after i connect my turned off device, I get this error:
BROM ERROR : S_BROM_DOWNLOAD_DA_FAIL (0x7D4)
[H/W] Fail to download DA to baseband chip's internal SRAM!
[HINT]: 1. There's an cable communication problem between FlashTool and BootROM. 2. Target might be shutdown unexpectedly or target lost power supply.
[ACTION] 1. Try again. 2. Proceed H/W checking in download cable and target side com port. 3. Monitor if power-drop occured in target side.

Is your phone in bootloader mode? Hold Vol down+power to enter fastboot mode and then connect your phone to PC.
If you are already doing that or the problem still persists and have an unlocked bootloader(which I am sure you have), try to flash twrp manually.

When I do it, my phone just turns on normally.
How can I check if I have unlocked bootloader? I have unlocked it about 1 year ago, but I did full wipe yesterday.

Vol down+power should boot into fastboot. Turn off the phone, hold both until honor logo shows up, let go of power but hold vol down for about 5 sec more.
If still the same, Turn off your phone, connect USB cable to phone, hold Vol down and connect the cable to computer. It should boot into bootloader now.
If it can not boot into bootloader still, the last is to try adb but that is a bit lengthy.
In bootloader mode, it will be written on phone screen in red whether phone is locked, unlocked or relocked.
Wipe does not effect bootloader status so it's still unlocked imo.

Nope. Maybe I was wrong and I have never unlocked it? I don't remember, but I did something when I was upgrading my phone to Android 4.4.2

At least it should say, phone locked. Saying nothing is a phenomenon i never heard before but I usually go for newer versions. May be that's the case.
Anyways use adb to fire this command
Fastboot OEM device-info
To be sure if its locked or not.
To setup adb, download and install latest Android SDK, run the program and only download platform-tools.
Your phone is international variant and it came with locked bootloader, I am sure sp tools unlocked it coz otherwise CWM could not be flashed.
Right click platform-tools folder and select run command prompt window here and type the above command
If the bootloader is unlocked (it will tell you if it is), copy the twrp image to platform-tools folder and rename it to twrp.img and fire this command
Fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
And try to reboot into recovery after disconnecting from pc and simultaneously holding power+ Vol up.
edit: nevermind, i forghot about something...

You dont have your phone drivers installed. Google Huawei USB drivers and install them or use hisuite to install drivers for your phone.
After driver installation, do the same process again.
My bad. I assumed you would have drivers already installed

Hisuite is the best option. Even if that does not work (there is a chance of that), Google Kouch's universal drivers and install those.
May have to manually install dribers if nothing works.
Lemme know how did it go. Will get back to you in the morning if nobody else came along (but someone surely will before that).
Have a nice day/night depending on your time zone

I installed Hisuite and connected my phone. Windows have downloaded drivers automatically. And still the same...
But I forgot to tell you that when I connecting my switched off phone, my pc says "USB Device Not Recognized" (or something like that, I dont have english version of windows). Everything is ok when my phone is switched on...
This phone is cursed. I try to give up and stay on my current ROM, so I installed Nova Launcher, but setting it as default doesn't work :/
Thanks for trying to help me anyway.

I was awake just for your post. I think I got the problem. You need fastboot drivers imo but I would have to read a bit before I can suggest how to go about it.
Am busy tomorrow but will try to get back to you in the evening (GMT+5 time zone).
Can never be 100% sure but still I am confident, your problem has a solution. Just bear with me a day or two

Boot into recovery mode, no matter on which recovery are you on, and execute this command:
Code:
adb devices
And see the output, if it says something like:
Code:
**some_number** recovery
then it means there is no problem in the detection of your device by PC, if it does not, then check if the micro USB socket in the device is in good condition.
And I must ask: Are you able to do any operations on device via PC after connecting it?

Okay, then it means that there is no problem in the connection. You are using SP Flash tool in which mode?
