You should root your phone and mount your system folder writable firstly

same thing
mine is doing same thing:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

have the same issue with at&t Samsung note ii running 4.4.2
I have encountered problem in installing any recent version of the framework. the highest version that I can get the framework to work for me is 2.4.1. I cannot update it to newer version.

I have my phone rooted. 2.4.1 version of xposed framework already installed. cannot upgrade to 2.6.1....I tried mounting the system as writable using a terminal emulator. verified that the system is indeed rw, and without quitting the terminal I switched to xposed installer to try installing 2.6.1 framework and still received the same error message.

how to install busybox? :)

hello. i have flashed stock rom (1.23.708.3),and i want to use xposed statusbar. so the problem is whenever i wanr to apply the change in xposed statusbar,it directed me to playstore and ask me to install busybox.
so i went to install the busybox.apk from playstore, and then i open the apps, and try to install using smart install & normal install to the xbin, but both of them were unsuccesful.
my Butterfly s went to reboot but still cant use xposed status bar because busybox not installed.
and btw i already installed and updated the xposed framework.
can someone please explain to me how to install it? tq

The problem is most likely that the Butterfly S has some kind of write protection in place on the /system filesystem. You can circumvent this by installing it from recovery, you can use the following package I just built on my Butterfly S and put together:
http://amerhippus.x64.me/~johnny64/901S/busybox-DLXPUL-1.21.1-koniiiik.zip
This build contains just about every tool available in busybox, even those you most probably won't ever need.

Problem installing Xposed since 2.6.1

Hey
I tried to update Xposed FW from 2.60 to 2.61 and when I tried to install the app_process and XposedBridge.jar files via the Framework menu it takes forever and then a notifiation pops up saying I should make sure my phone is rooted and shell commands aren't blocked.
I did nothing to the phone since the last update to 2.60 and every other Xposed update before worked.
I have a rooted Nexus 5 and SUper SU 1.97
Super SU doesn't show a request to approve Xposed rights.
I tried to install an older version of Xposed but that doesnt work.
I cleared the cache of xposed fw and uninstalled, then reinstalled it with several reboots in between. Nothing works.
It keeps saysing xposed is not activated, I should root my phone and that's it.
How can I force SuperSU to ask for root rights for xposed?
Thanks
EDIT: Just saw in the SuperSU log file that it says I need Super SU Pro for Xposed Framework???

Open SuperSU, find "Xposed Installer" and make sure it's set to grant root access. You can also try tapping on "Forget" and you should get asked next time you try to install the framework.

The Problem was SuperSU 1.97.
It seems as the phone will lose root with this version (what would make sense then). In the 1.97 announcement post of Chainfire on Google+ was another comment to version 1.98 which fixes the root loss issue (meanwhile SuperSU is already version 1.99).
Xposed is working again after updating SuperSU.

xposed Installation failed

I just installed Alliance rom on my att gs5. For some reason it won't let me install xposed framework. Help?
I have the same problem with gt-n8013 cyanogenmod rom
"It won't let me install Xposed framework" – how so? Any errors?
I can't submit a screenshot of the error because I don't have many posts. But it says "Failed to create a backup of /system/bin/app_process
There should be an error above/below that line as well? Have you tried installing Xposed via the recovery?
It's a big error. Its a lot to type but tldr it says permission denied. No, how do I do that?

Permission denied? Are you sure you're rooted (if you are, double check that the Xposed Installer is granted root permissions)?
You can install it via the recovery by changing the installation method (press the button).
I have no idea what I did but I tried to install it again and it worked so. Thanks for trying to help but its fixed now haha.
Help
Having trouble with loading Netflix so discovered about the xposed fix for this problem. I tried to install xposed but got the "signature" error message which I believe tells me xposed is already installed. In my "apps", I do not have xposed listed as an installed app. Doing a file search, there are no hits on "xposed". I recently upgraded to latest Beanstalk 4.4.4. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Framework not active no matter what i do

my phone is the Blu VIVO IV (aka Gionee ELIFE S5.5) with kit kat and I got it rooted by following this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/root-blu-vivo-iv-kitkat-4-4-2-t2854480
-I have superSu pro installed
-Root checker shows that I am rooted
-Mobile uncle runs (shows root) and I have no problem loading the recovery image
-unknown sources enabled
But xposed framework does not work correctly and I can't figure out what is wrong
- Xposed framework 2.6, 2.6.1 and 2.7 installs but it keeps telling me
"The latest version of Xposed is currently not active. Did you install the framework and reboot"
When I look under active and bundle. The # of active is the same as the bundled (app_ process 58 green active/ 58 bundled red)
I have reinstalled with classical, recovery (flash automatically) and recovery (manual flash). Same thing happens in all cases
If i ignore it and install modules, they do not take effect because it keeps telling me that xposed framework is not active.
- I tried xposed framework 2.5 and 2.5.1. They install and after a reboot becomes xposed is active and i don't get the message that it is unactive but i get crashes on my system ui. Gallery, mobile uncle and etc.
so i did a little more digging and I found that if check the "disable resource hooks" xposed now runs as active but most of the modules I'm using don't run
my logs shows the following
errors during xposed initialization
java.lang.ClassCastExpection: class android content res XResources doesn't extend class amigo theme core res GioneeResources
I assume that means that theming engine on my phone is interfering with Xposed?
anyone know i can get this resolved? I like to use xposed framework on blu vivo IV

Sorry for the obvious question, but...
are you using ART ? If so Xposed automatically deactivates itself, since it's only compatible with Dalvik !

sorry but can you explain what ART is? I believe the phone is running Dalvik
Sorry, I found what ART was and I have the option to run ART or Dalvik and I am running under Dalvik right now under "developers Option"
Digging around in the forum I know that the Huawei phones had the same issue but then they could just edit one line in the build.prop and it worked. Unfortunately this doesn't work for me since that line is specific to just huawei phones.

[q] please help busybox problem

i've accidentally uninstall busybox (don't ask why, long story), now there's no busybox on my z1, but when i'm tring to install busybox using busybox again it always failed, the message "busybox was not sucsess, try to change location to fox the issues". Anyone have the solution for this problem? I'm using xperia Z1 sol23 (japan version), rooted, lockbootloader, no cwm. In my system/ xbin there's some files but no busybox files. I'm tring to copy busybox to xbin but the system wont let me to write in xbin. Help me please... is there any method to install busybox?

I have that problem too in the latest firmware 5.1.1 (prerooted rom). I wonder if everyone who use prerooted 5.1.1 have this busybox bug. I have used some busybox installer from playstore but the installation failed, telling me to change location of busybox installation. In my case i'm sure I didn't removed the busybox. I installed the rom clean and I also flashed the latest supersu successfully.
Hopefully I can repay xda a little here and maybe help you guys out.
I spent all day downgrading to kitkat and then flashing a pre-rooted 5.1.1 ROM.
I have just finished and root seems ok. I tried to use 'busybox installer' and it failed (it wasnt asking for supersu permission).
I tried 'busybox' from the link below and it installed fine.
Hope this helps

EDIT: I'm sure You'd already tried that but I had a problem with busybox installer just minutes before your post, so thought it was worth mentioning what worked for me
