please help - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5

Hello, i want to go back to stock rom on my galaxy s5. I am not bricked or anything like that. Every tutorial i look at, it involves using odin, and i cannot do that. I am on the Extreme Debloat ATT V1 running 4.4.2 kitkat. I don't have a md5 file to flash yet because i do not want to download a wrong file and screw up my phone. I don't have a computer at the time, so is there any way i can just download the file straight from my phone and copy it to root and go to recovery and wipe the device and then flash? thank you.

Go back, it means you are already rooted and that, so why don't you just go to recovery and wipe/delete etc, and launch your system
normally, then connect to the internet and download a stock image (.zip), put it on your external sd card, go back to recovery and flash it.
I hope that helped you cause that what I could get from your post,
Best Regards.

If I wipe/delete first, I won't be able to launch me system normally because there will be no system to boot to. And I don't know what zip file to download for my specific device

Help! Can't return to stock

Hey guys, any info on this would be great.
Have a ATT Note 3... It boots into recovery and Download mode..
Basically, I was going to install knoxraid, wiped /system /data, but didn't have the rom file to flash.
Then, rebooted phone, and it will go into stock recovery but not safestrap.
Please help... I know it can't be completely bricked.
I tried unbrick-soft-bricked-att-galaxy-note-3-sm-900a but it fails
(also, I am sure Samsung drivers are installed)

So you can't get the phone to boot normally? What happens when you try to let the phone boot up on it's on without trying to go into recovery or download mode?
Same thing happened to me once.. just took it to my nearest at&t and told them I was upgrading to kit Kat by computer thru kies and that my daughter unplugged my phone during its process and failed and they fixed it for me..free

I believe you are going to have to Odin back with the Odin JB files. Their is three of them. I see if I can find you more info as to what to do.

What version of SafeStrap did you have installed ? 3.7.1 or 3.7.2
Dude. Wait. If you wiped system you have no rom..All you have to do is use your computer and download a rom and push to your sd card. Then use stock or recovery to flash. Lol. I did this on my nexus once. Anyway it's simple fix.

I would say you could revert to MJ5 link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2559715. Read it to the T. This will put the MJ5 4.3 back on your phone. You don't need safestrap to revert back to MJ5 method. You can root and install safestrap back on when its installed. Just do steps 1-9 if you don't want to root this method. don't worry about this download link ( https://mega.co.nz/#F!icMTnSQY!bMBNFmUnn2_K8olSTYpwIA (mirror provided by drakeymcmb) i'ts just a mirror for the ml9 fix.image ext4.

Alright, I'll follow this eexact. I am not new to flashing and ROM mods. (Been doing it since the s2). I normally would push via ADB, use a custom recovery and be set. But, just picked up the note 2… and ADB wouldnt detect the phone to push ROM.. (Using ADB device). So, anyways.... I know I have to use ODIN. I know its not fubard because the phone boots into download and stock recovery mode.
Thanks everyone, I really want to get this fix. Luckily I have a nexus 5 as well.

We can't use the old way to get into our or past our bootloaders. If you follow everything on revert to MJ5 steps 1-9 that should give you bootable verse of MJ5 4.3. If you still want root and stay on MJ5 ok. If you want the next software fix then don't root yet then try to get the NB4 patch then you can root with Kingo 1.18.

Returning to stock

How the heck would one return the watch back to complete stock? Remove root...reinstall the stock recovery and the stock software? I see that Adamoutler has a post about pulling stuff off the watch but I am not sure this is what im looking for
Would flashing this "stock" firmware revert it all including recovery? Guess im asking here in case anyone has done it successfully
Looking into the file it does seem that the recovery is indeed included!

I see more action in the LG watch forums lol...Anyway I think it will be up to us to figure this out and quite frankly I have NO idea wtf to do lol...Seems the stock files do include recovery and boot imgs BUT they come in the form of a .tar.gz file, which, after doing alittle looking, appears to be a Samsung restore file (duh right. My only experience with Samsung stuff was the short lived affair with a S4, which I HATED!). but the question is, how do we put all these img files (23 in all), into a nice single package that we can install from ADB since they seem to be fastboot files? As step 3 says according to KMyers:
3) Use the "fastboot boot <filename.img>" (replace this with the location of the extracted content from the zip file)
HELP!
I tried flash system.img from the Stock Firmware file that Adam Outler provided and ended up with the watch not booting. I just wish I knew what needs to be flashed and not. I have restored nexus devices in the past with the factory images provided by google but Adam's zip has a ton of different img files so its kind of left me clueless. Really need help with this too
So far Heimdall can't download the pit file from my Gear Live and I wish someone here could help having it then I'll try to use the pit to try to flash again some img inside Adam's stock ones.
My Gear Live now only have Download/Upload/Recovery however, in Recovery mode, my ADB can't recognize the watch if choosing Sideload from ADB on the list from the watch. Thus Download mode is the only way now :'(

Because it wasn't ready yet lol
I tired the restore tool and the watch wouldn't connect to the phone afterwards.
After the factory reset the watch displayed 'Install Android Wear on your phone' but the watch is not visible to the phone. At all.
The only way to get it to work was for me to use Octamod ROM.

[Q] Help with bricked phone!

My S Advance is hard bricked and I am unable to bring it back to life, though it does go to recovery mode and download mode I've flashed plenty of firmwares from 2.3.6 to 4.1.2 and none of them work. Anyway I'm past that because I've bought a new phone now, what I need to ask is this: Can I somehow recover the data from my internal SDcard, and how should i go about doing so?
I want to add one more thing...
I know the problem of the phone not booting is hardware related, but i believe that the internal memory is intact. I believe so because when i go to recovery mode I am able to mount and unmout sdcard0, also using the "Install zip" option I'm able to view the folders inside sdcard0.

If you are able to enter the custom recovery,as you said, you could do an nandroid backup and it will be automaticly safe to your sd-card.
After that you can open it up in your new or other smartphone with nandroid manager and you can pull out all your files and savegames etc. .

Help! JB to KK issues

Ok so i was going to move to a kit kat rom, downloaded dynamic kit kat and all the odin files, and safestrap says you need 3.75 for kit kat. but after installing that i can not get into it in order to wipe etc and install. I trued using the odin "to get to safe strap" flash" with no effect. I didnt want to flash all the odin files and brick the phone because i can not get to safe strap. I uninstalled safe strap in the app but can not uninstall the app nor install an other version "it fails"

You can odin the first 4 files in this thread if you want http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2838117
They'll get you to kitkat right a way, BUT there is no going back to JB after doing that. So if you're OK with not being able to go back to JB follow these steps:
1. Download the first 4 files (or you can use the one that has "home" in it by itself) either one will work. The second one won't wipe your phone clean, that's all.
2.Put phone into download mode, connect to Odin, put the files in their correct slots, and hit "start". Let it do its thing. It will reboot and you're done with Odin after that.
3. Download towelroot from www.towelroot.com and install the app. Open it and run it (click "let it ra1n"). That should get you rooted. .
4. Download busybox from the playstore. Open it and run it (install it from within the app).
5. Download SS 3.75 or 3.72 ONLY!!!!! Open it. Install recovery. Start flashing.
6. Enjoy!

Phone restarts every minute, cannot enter recovery mode, Please help!

As I said, phone is restarting every minute, it cannot enter recovery mode by using 3 buttons. I've tried hard resetting, but whenever I press the button to erase it, it either does nothing or it restarts again. Also whenever I change some of the settings they revert after a restart. I've tried flashing some rooted roms with odin, and it said "pass" but phone still remained the same. I've tried flashing pit files, the three button recovery and all, but still nothing did any good... Is there any way I can fix this? Is there any way to find stock official images and install them without odin, like LG's software update kdz, or HTC official installer files? Is the phone just dead? Please help guys!

Try to install twrp from novafusion by odin without checked 'restart phone'. Then pool out battery, put inside and go to recovery mode. Choose wipe, advanced wipe, choose everything without SdCard and slide button. Next turn off phone.
After this turn on download mode and install stock rom by odin.
If it not help, you have bricked phone.
Try any method but i dont know why you do something with pit file. Its not recommended to do wth this if its not necesary.

I don't think pit file thing did anything because phone just reverted back. By the way phone is running stock it isn't rooted. Shouldn't it be rooted for custom recoveries?

Answered on your question, yes. Because you need full access to operations on your phone. Btw, when you instal twrp and in some part of this recovery you want leave and restart, twrp ask you, did you want root your rom (its clue).
The easiest way to root your stock rom, find thread with prerooted stock rom to install by odin. Its the easiest way.
