Hey, well done.
Just a couple corrections:
1. Exynos 5420 (not 5422)
2. Gorilla Glass 3 - i don't recall the device listed on their website or stated by Samsung (I could be wrong though)
Overall, nice

Thank you. I am not too sure if I actually made mistakes or not. A lot of sources do in fact list the Exynos 5422 as the one in Galaxy Tab S 8.4 (are you 100% sure that it is not the right one?).
Gorilla Glass has kinda been confirmed as well: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2667562
Once again nothing official

Yes, I'm totally sure about 5420 because I compile SkyHigh kernel for the Tab S Exynos devices
You really need to quote from official sources sometimes hearsay on other. That XDA link of yours is for SGT Pro 8.4, different device.
There is nothing listed on any official Samsung or Corning website about GG3 being used on this device.
http://www.corninggorillaglass.com/products-with-gorilla/samsung
If it had, it would be listed as a feature http://www.samsung.com/au/consumer/mobile-phone/tablet/tablet/SM-T705YTSAXSA
Yes its only exynos 5420
Samsung should have waited and use the Exynos 5430/5433 instead, but thats how Samsung works, they already planned for a upgraded version of the Tab S....
Sent from my GALAXY S5
Doesn't the LTE version of Tab S come only with Snapdragon 800 processor? This is what I have read everywhere else.

It's region dependent. In the US you get the S800 version, in Europe the Exynos 5 Octa 5420

No problem. A shame for all the creativity and hard work.
The Exynos 5420 and Mali GPU models are not just constrained to Europe, but the majority of regions and providers, making it the "international" version. The Snapdragon 800 and Adreno GPU are only available in limited markets, including some US carriers.

Is there any differences between the GT-i9220 vs N7000 version ? Which one should you buy?
I am in the U.S.A and I have pre-ordered the GT-i9220 version .
I don't know.
What I did find on the Internets is confusion about this type number. Even here in the Netherlands the (real) GT-N7000 Note is listed as a i9220, obviously wrong...
Some sites say the 9220 has 4.3 inch, others say is 5.3... Some say is Gingerbread, others say its ICS...
But they all seem to agree its on 1.4ghz and 1280x720
I guess that if you order a Note i9220, you will get a Note N7000

And the i9220 is supposed to be 1280x720
My best guess its a 4.65" ICS Samsung at 1.4ghz, yet to be released.
GT-I9220 is the version that comes with ICS as standard.
Physical buttons will be removed so that you can use the on-screen ones with the S-Pen, pentile will be dropped for a true Super AMOLED Plus (which will consume less battery).
This modification will make the phone a bit smaller, reduced size on bottom.
It will come just one month after you bought the first Galaxy Note version, and for a lighter price.
In fact, I have no clue, just making up what could be a real bad joke (we've seen stuff like that before)!

But its the internets, don't believe it until you see it
(or maybe its the Note II )
I9220 was the first codename for Note. But Samsung changed it to N7000, which is currently used name.
AH, that makes more sense... If you search for WFA11897 on Google, you find posts talking about the i9220, but the wifi certificate points to N7000....

i9220 was Galaxy Note code name showed on IFA 2011. But, i9** are used for Galaxy phones and Galaxy Note was considered as subtype of the Galaxy phone at that moment. Later on, Samsung changed mind and want to show Galaxy Note as new product line so using N*** for that category now.
i think it's the chinese version of the Galaxy Note.

Guess it was one of its prototype names. I believe the codename can still be found on the phone itself, it was mentioned in the endgadget video review/overview (I think it was on the battery)

How much is it?.. is it cheaper than the hk version?
It's actually more expensive than the HK version. Almost all localized retail phones in China are more expensive due to the heavy taxing that goes on here. The MSRP for China version is 5999rmb. I was able to find a seller on taobao (chinese ebay) selling the i9220 for almost as cheap as a gray market (HK imported) N7000. 4900rmb.
So, I'm going tomorrow morning to their "office" to check it out and possibly come back with a new GT-i9220!

I don't think it would be a super amoled, but it's written there.
I don't trust galaxy mini 2's leaked specs, also if it's true then it will be + 110% more expensive.
If anyone dreams this I only suggest is to have patients & wait for the future for more hyped phones.

The S7550 is great for the average user who doesnt require all the glitz and glam that comes attached with the high-end devices, your Galaxy S2's for example.
I was expecting a disappointing smartphone when I purchased my Galaxy Mini, I knew it wasnt going to be like my prodocessor phone, Galaxy Ace but it surprised me. Its probably just as good in many ways, and with custom ROM attached is the same.
Only downfall is the screen quality, if its set to improve then I might just get the new one.
It doesn't really seem worth it, its not that different too the mini
and the AMOLED will make it a bit more expensive, so it won't be 'mini' the mini is supposed too be cheap!
Now here's 800Mhz processor version of Galaxy Mini (Named as Galaxy Pop Plus S5570i)
NB: Galaxy Mini in India is known as Galaxy Pop.

That new device will cost as much as the first Mini when it got released. Everything gets better and cheaper. If SGS2 were released 5 years ago I'd cost like 2k$. And AMOLED is nothing special nowadays. I think there is Super AMOLED+ now.
I loved my SM-T800, but the kind of love where you're willing to overlook little faults here and there (the small amounts of lag that people notice while others don't).
I switched over to the LTE version from Verizon a few days ago-- with the Snapdragon 800 SOC.
Lag is completely gone-- even in touchwiz (no I didn't sick with touchwiz, just wanted to confirm). Tapped Out plays perfectly. LTE reception is great. Scrolling through everything is so smooth!
$600 is expensive for any tablet; but through some lucky breaks, I paid around $350 for my non-LTE version, not including a free book cover that Best Buy threw in. I ended up selling the tablet for about $430, and I kept the cover! So net $530 for the LTE tab and cover.
If you're on the fence about this device because of some of the comments on here, I can tell you most of the complaints are rectified in the Sprint/ Verizon version.
My experience exactly. Had the Wifi 10.5, and it sucked, frankly. The Verizon LTE version is awesome.
Yeah that's what I was afraid of. They really gave the wifi version the shaft with their horrible exynos experiment.
I have a Galaxy S5 with the snapdragon and it's blazing fast, while my wifi Tab S is laggy and slow as hell.
No surprise there, Exynos lags behind the Snapdragon variant as usual. No pun intended.
Sure it has snapdragon?
Most likely improvements are just because of some software update.
i have been waiting for the Verizon version for some time and got excited when i saw it available BUT then sad when i saw it was only the 16GB version which doesnt work for me. also didnt want white but could deal with that. hoping maybe a 32GB version at some point but doubtful

I purchased the wifi 16. Returned it for the 32. Got refunded for that one and purchased the Sprint version with snapdragon. It just seems to be smoother and faster than the previous wifi only tabs. Both of my wifi units just did weird things. Ex., I would press the home key and it would send me off to google or some place unknown to my home screen. If I kept pressing the home button I would eventually get there, never did figure that one out. My other ones lagged every now and then but this didn't really bother me, I'm a patient man. I just wanted mobile data, however infrequently I will use it, but I'm glad it is there.
As stated many times, the Exynos SOC is really really bad.
long story short, who ever has the opportunitiy of buying Verizon Tab S Snapdragon 800 should go towards that direction and not the Exynos one...thanks guys i was thinking of buying with Exynos in Europe but i see that it has problems, weird is that sites seem to bypass those problems rather easily

Any evidence?
Most likely it is just software issue.
Anyway, I don't see any lag on my T705 Exynos tab.
Any development for the snapdragon version?
Samsung just announced the Galaxy S5 Plus. Bummer I just bought my S5 about 2 months ago.. and literally just bought a Nexus 5 to play around with from the Play Store..
Features a 2.5Ghz Snapdragon 805 (underclocked from 2.7GHz found in Note 4)
Significantly faster memory bandwidth
Upgraded GPU (presumably a Adreno 420)
Faster LTE (advance 300Mbps).
Anyone here tempted to upgrade? Im wondering what the overall performance is like compares to S5 and Note 4.

Working for me. Doesnt work on all games though but I tested real racing 3 by putting fps at 15 and it was indeed 15, put it back to 60 and it was smooth as butter. Resolution scale though doesnt work on most apps
Edit: just Tested on dead trigger 2 and Resolution Scale+framerate work fantastic. Idk what gameservice is but it may either be samsung push service or Google play games.

You might have frozen it or it might got disabled by your custom rom.
But doesn't work for her for my 920f. It states not compatible with the phone. Maybe rom related. Dunno.
Incompatible with G920i as well! It's the S6 hype which convinced Samsung to extend the design to Note 5. Appreciated that they left exynos 7420 to avoid making s6 irrelevant, but I don't like the favoritism that newer apps are 1st available to Note. Lol!

Check in your build number if its something like 920fxxu2**** then it won't work. .
It might work if it's U3!
Samsung made only 2 changes in U3 update for s6. One being game service other is doze mode!
U1,u2,u3 are major updates in update lineups!
Hell yeah...
It working on U1 roms, 5.0.2 on my side...
