Edit: decision made, no Nexus 6 for me, it's too big, expensive and ugly immo, just ordered a brand new Nexus 5 from Amazon for €300. ☺

As suspected for a few months, we will probably have a 6" Nexus phone coming this fall.
As a Nexus 4 user i am reluctant to start using a 6" phone, but being a Nexus user since the Nexus One, and after talking to a few friends with the Note i am inclined to take a leap of faith.
What do you guy's think, let's post a few pros and cons so we all can make an informed buy.
Pros:
Better browsing and youtube experience;
Stop carrying a tablet;
Possible massive battery.
Cons:
It won't fit all pockets;
Two hands usage;
Possible weight.
PS: let's skip the 5.2" vs 6" as it probably won't be happening.

HYPE.
I'm just waiting for it to be real and purchaseable.
I'm waiting for a Moto Nexus since Google bought Moto back in 2011! (and they do it after selling it to Lenovo lol)
Will buy day 1 regardless of its dimension!
Not going near any 6inch device, no matter if its called Nexus.
I prefer to have a tablet at 10 inch.
Unleashed by my Nexus 4
Nexus 6 should be max 5.5... 6 inches smart phone is useless, According to me
Nope. As much as I love the nexus line, that is just way too damn big for me. If I can't operate it one handed, I don't want it. If anything, I plan to finally move up to the Nexus 5, and the's max size I want in a phone. Any bigger and I say "thanks, but no thanks."

According to all the rumors, the Nexus 6 will have a 3200+ mAh battery, i just hope the QHD display won't eat it too fast...
Way to big. Ordered a meizu mx4. Mostly for the camera. I still think that maybe to big.

To me, N4 is a phone and N6 is not. 5.9" is just crazy, who knows, maybe Google brings something in normal screen size (5" or less) alongside N6.

Pro's: performance (good enough for a couple of years, looking at the specs). Oh, and 4G in Europe.
Con's: size. A big screen sounds great, but portability and one-handed use.
Looks like the terminal will have excellent processing power and RAM plus a big battery so it'll be good for a couple of years, but like everyone else - will this thing fit in a trouser pocket and can it be used 1-handed?
That last point may well force the UI to offer options so that eg status bar can be positioned at the bottom/navbar on the bottom left or right (just saying). But it's a big piece of kit....
This thing doesn't even fit my backpack.
I'm a Brazilian without English Course, sorry and be comprehensive
I was ready for the switch, couldn't wait...but if the N6 is really gonna be that big I don't think I will buy it. It's too much of a jump from the N4 in terms of size.
If Google really comes out with just the 6 inches version, I think I will choose between the MotoX and the G3. Or maybe even an N5 if I will find one.
I actually think I'm gonna skip this one. As European guy I couldn't picture the size in inches(do it America, I beg you, switch to metric system like the rest of the world! ). Now seeing the two in comparison I must say that it's way too big for me. Nexus 4 is just about the right size, fits in the hand, you can control it with 1 hand. I never found myself wanting a tablet or phablet for that matter. It's phone, laptop or desktop pc for me. I like the keyboard very much to give it up
I'm definitely up for a bigger phone. My Nexus 4 is the biggest phone I've owned, and I'd love a big phablet to use at home for gaming and reading eBooks, and for traveling when I don't want to lug around my laptop. Obviously, I'll be keeping my Nexus 4 to use when I don't want a gigantic slab in my pocket (I want a Sony Z3 Compact for that, but that's several months away for me).
Maybe I'll even pick up a Nexus 5 when the price drops because the 6 is out.
One thing I'm wondering about the Nexus 6 is that, if it comes running Android L out of box, will we be able to "downgrade" it to 4.4.4 KitKat? Obviously, with previous Nexus phones, downgrading to a version prior to its release made no sense, but for those of us that love what the Xposed framework can do for us, I have a feeling 4.4.4 will be ported to the Nexus 6.
Rumor is there'll be a 32GB version for $419USD, and 64GB for $449. If that turns out to be the case, I'm only about $100-150 short of affording the 64GB, which I should be able to save by the time it's available in November.
If the phone does turn out to be 5.9" like most people suspect then I'm out.
I'll be a little disappointed as I was hoping to go from my N4 to an N6 but that screen is FAR too big. It's near enough phablet size and I want a phone not a phablet.
I'll probably just pick up an LG G2 instead. 5.2" is the perfect sized screen IMO.

The G3 and MotoX are also my other options but i'm waiting for the price. If the Nexus 6 arrives with a decent price it's a hard choice.
Looks like the next Nexus won't be inheriting the good looks of the GNex/N4/N5 (mostly N4 lol). That's it, i'm out. Can always flash an AOSP Rom on a phone if I want the Nexii feel again.
I will switch when it comes down in price from Fido

So they are both just going to called "Nexus 7"?
Nice. Mass confusion. At least my Aunt who just bought both of my old ones wouldn't know the difference.

Why would they call it the Nexus 7 2? That would be ridiculous. We'll just have to refer to it as the Nexus 7 (2013) like you would with the iPad, Macbook, Samsung Series 9, etc. I'm excited to see how well the new one comes out, and my Nexus 7 performance has gotten rough, no matter what ROM I'm throwing at it. I'll hold off on upgrading until we see what 4.3 is like, as many with the Nexus 4 say that the update has improved performance a bit.

Why ridiculous? Because you think it is? Maybe having two different devices with the same name is ridiculous and confusing. Samsung has Galaxy Tab 7, Galaxy Tab 2 7, Galaxy Tab 3 7. Last I checked, Samsung has been selling a lot of devices, so I guess people don't mind their naming scheme.
Well I do think Samsung's naming scheme is ridiculous as well and can't imagine it being that marketable. I understand that they really just market the Galaxy Tab 3 (or the series that they are on) line itself and not each device, and is up to the consumer to pick the device size they want. I would just rather market to people about the Nexus 7 and make that a brand name. Especially if it is just a yearly release type of device. Consumers don't get confused by Ford selling a different Fusion or F150 model every year.
I would expect the consumer to figure out that last year's model is priced at $100-150 range (how great of a value would that be for a Nexus 7) and the new models are in the $200-250 range. Especially as other companies have conditioned consumers with that strategy

I don't care what they call it.
Just release it, and take my money already!
I'm surprised they don't unify them and say Nexus 5 7", Nexus 5, and Nexus 5 10"

I mean chances are its the 2nd gen with all the other leaks and the listed red, but I'm still not convinced. Although if Google does want to sell a lot of these they have to have it in best buy stores. People don't go to staples and office depot to buy electronics.

Now that I've seen what it looks like, I'm not that excited about anymore.
Hate that huge bezel.
The bezels are big, but its a tablet and this is probably preferred when holding it landscape so you aren't touching the screen.
I just wish they put front facing speakers in it.

I think the landscape bezels are about the same size as the current Nexus 7. But it looks like the portrait bezel was reduced even more, looks like it may be about 33 to 50% smaller now. Though I I think Google/ASUS would have been fine reducing the landscape bezel size a little bit. But when holding in landscape I do want to put my thumb on the front glass, so some bezel is good.
I hope this is a good sign that Best Buy is putting this in the Sunday ad, hope that means they expect to get a decent supply.

Am I the only one not considering to buy the new N7 through the GooglePlay store this time around? Last year was such a mess when it was first released!!!
out b4 the eBay surge....
just sold mine last night to pay for a portion of the new one.... I, too, wish the bezel was smaller simply for aesthetic reasons but the functional reasons mentioned in the thread make sense... either way, I'm buying it...
noob question -- but how long does it typically take before launchers are compatible with the new o/s? are developers pretty quick in making their updates, does it take a little while, or do most launchers generally play nice with the updates for the most part?

Yeah, there are pros and cons.
The con is fear that Google will be slow shipping it out and I could walk to Best Buy and get it quicker.
The pro though is Google Play's customer support. If anything goes wrong with it, they will immediately cross ship me out a replacement with 2 day air with zero hassle. If I buy it from any other retailer, I'm stuck using ASUS customer support and I have to ship in the tablet and wait weeks for it to be fixed and returned.
But I suspect I'll probably just go to Best Buy anyway. I have 15 days to exchange it if there is a defect and usually if it's fine after 15 days I probably won't have a need to do a RMA in the future.

SO what do you think about the phone now?
Nope. I only upgrade when I see a reason.
I'll have the software. I'll stick with the n4 till It breaks or I actually see a worthy upgrade reason.
Even then I still won't sell it. To much to deal with for less then 200 bux. I'd rather give it to my Da.
Nope, here are my reasons why:
1.the N5 isn't worth it imo.
2.The N4 is sleeker and nicer than the N5 and other phones(also imo).
3.My N4 is still super fast and fluid so no need to upgrade.

I dont agree about the n5 not being worth it :-/
a 1080p display, possibly a better camera, S800 are enough reasons for me.
P.S: I live in India and got 2 Nexus 4s back in Feb when LG didn't start selling it here... and i made a profit out of it, which enables me to buy the N5... I got around 10000 rupess out of it ($200) which makes buying the Nexus 5 cheaper for me
and im doing the same thing this time around as well...
I won't ever sell a Nexus. I use all my old devices as media players, handheld game consoles, media center remotes, etc. With all the emulators and apps to make life easier and more connected, I see no reason to sell. Add to that the updates that continue after so many generations, and there is REALLY no reason to ever sell one. Hell, my Nexus S is running 4.3!!! I use it as my home phone with calls forwarded to google voice. There's always a reason to keep old androids, imho

I agree, but with the profit i made from selling a nexus 4 in india (i got one along with mine) and the amount im getting from selling my phone (near $250), i am getting a nexus 5 almost without paying anything extra
I had the s4 since it launched on att and to be honest the nexus 4 is faster stock then the s4 was with its typical touchwiz lag. I would like the 1080p screen and the better camera that it will most likely pack however I see no reason to upgrade just yet.

me personally think the nexus 5 looks like a slab of black plastic with plain buttons and nothing really innovative, the front especially,..so im going another year with my nexus 4 and waiting for the nexus 6, hopefully built with motorola and glass infused shell
I did the exact opposite, I bought a N4. With the hype and rumors about the N5 dropping In october I was able to pickup a mint 16 gig with a full skin for under $200. The prices are back up now. I'm normally a generation behind to save money. And the N4 was a great bang for the buck a few weeks ago. Especially on T-Mobile LTE.

Am very tempted to sell my N4 for either the LG G2 or the N5.
Apart from all buttons being on the rear of the LG, I like the larger screen, higher MP camera, larger battery and general appearance of the G2 over the N5. However, I'm concerned about the LG software (ie not stock Android), LG's track record on software updates and the very small developer community.

Hello guys,
I'm on the verge of buying a new smartphone after being into Windows Phone for too long.
I have a N7 2013 tablet which I've been using to play around with different Custom Roms and Kernels but now it's time to ditch my low end Windows Phone smartphone and go for a medium range Android device to play around with.
The two options at the moment are: Moto G new or an used but mint condition Nexus 4 still under warranty (for another year atleast). The price tag is almost similar 170€ (MotoG) vs 200€ (N4).
Now I know the proc on the MotoG is newer and slightly faster but the N4 sports a bigger screen and more Ram which to be honest, is the decising factor here. However, since I haven't owned any of these two devices I'd like to know if the N4 is still a safe pick, and if there are any issues I should be aware of.
Thanks!
hey , first of all get your facts right .
N4 proc and GPU is way way faster than Moto G's proc and GPU ..
http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-S4-Pro-(APQ8064)-vs-Qualcomm-Snapdragon-400
secondly they both share IPS grade screens , but moto g has an advantage of gorilla glass 3 , ...
thirdly , n4 has one of the best developer community , way better than moto g ..
if u are confused between n4 and moto g , definitely go for the n4 .. its better in every possible aspect
but i would suggest waiting for some newer devices from google they might not be very far from launch
N4 all the way. The Moto G is inferior in every technical aspect (it's still a good phone but if you have the $$$ get something better!). The only physical advantage of the Moto G over the N4 is that the back cover is removable so you can easily swap sim cards without having to use a PIN, if that matters to you.
I have an N5 waiting for me (relative ordered in the states, bringing it when she visits) but I will definitely keep my N4 as a backup rather than sell it like I did with previous phones. The N4 is a great phone and just too good to waste.
Another good thing about Moto G is that is more comfortable at the hand that N4 will be. But overall N4 all the way, for being a AOSP device its simple to custom roms, kernels and everything

I have both, the Nexus is faster, bigger screen, better camera, better build quality and has superior development support.
It's a obvious choice for me. ☺
First of all thanks for the feedback.
I will probably go for the Nexus 4 since my budget is this low and the market here is overpriced compared to most places. Infact even the new market is.
The deal also includes a couple of cases, screen protectors and a bumper so it's the best choice.
Thanks all for the feedback.

Probably not a bad call. One yet unmentioned difference is Nexus 4 has NFC, moto g doesn't. I used to couldn't care less about that. But since I found out about Dimple (programmable, batteryless, custom placed NFC buttons), NFC actually matters to me. A lot of folks here dig the sleek buttonlessness of N4 and stuff like it, but I mostly got the phone because it was cheap at the time. I miss buttons a lot, especially for page turning in ebooks.
You never know when that tiny bit of extra functionality will turn out to be awesome. Enjoy your new phone :good:
Yeah, NFC tags at work and home are nice too. Once you start using it its hard to stop

^^^ This especially... Deciding between the two is actually tough, my son has the Moto G 16GB GPE edition and I have the Nexus 4 16GB.
I am similar to a previous user... I am mixed and go back and forth between which I prefer. Which is better for you depends on your usage
Moto G gives you incredible battery life (5-7 hours screen time, double the N4), it's waterproof (I can't believe no one mentioned this), Gorilla Glass 3
Nexus 4 has both a faster processor and GPU, has a larger display although I don't find it superior other than size, and has NFC and wireless charging (neither of which I use).
To be honest, although the 21Mbps vs 42Mbps thing is real, in real life it makes little difference in use, same with the processor... the N4 is faster but the G is more efficient, I have noticed little difference in performance between the two.
The Nexus 4 has a tremendous development community with more options and help than you can imagine, and although the Moto G has a decent community with most major ROMs supported, it is definitely not the Nexus 4 in that regard but if it's your thing you won't be bored either.
Honestly, no mater your choice you will get a good phone that will likely last a decent amount of time.
I remember you that the Moto G has a louder Speaker than the Nexus 4.
The moto G also support USB OTG, without any special Y cable or similiar things.
By the way I'm proud to own a Nexus 4.
I own both.
Nexus 4 is a better phone, BUT the Moto G comes damn close. Considering the low price of Moto G, I'll say it's a better bargain, even the more expensive 4G version, which adds support for LTE, which is something Nexus 4 doesn't have. But off course, it depends on the prices of the phones, in the area you live.
Hey guys!
The phone is home and it's the Nexus 4 16GB in super mint condition, with a ****load of screen protectors, bumbers and good cases, you name it.
It came with tempered glass screen protector at the front and a standard screen protector at the back.
Also, LTE isn't a big thing for me. Between Univ and my place I get alot of hotspots through Fon (https://corp.fon.com/pt/microsite/nos) so not a big deal.
Everywhere I go without Internet, I bring my mobile broadband pen and a sharing dock to get wireless.
The Moto G also arrived yesterday from Amazon and it really surprised me. The stock Android with some of Motorola subtle changes really make it a good phone hardware and software wise.
The problem here in Portugal is the used market is too damn retarded. People sell phones at prices that don't make sense. You see low end mobiles being sold at the price of gold. 200€ for a N4 is like a bargain compared to the prices asked for phones like Samsung SII which goes for 150 to 200€ here. Higher end phones never go for less than 300€ and most even locked to networks. A used N5 here would go for over 350€ eventhough the Playstore in Portugal has it at 349€. Yes, people are this retarded because all they care is how much they payed for the phone when they bought it and not the current new prices and the current options. How can you sell a crap phone at 150€ if for 170€ I can get a Moto G. Xiaomi's and other decent Quad cores from Amazon? Well...
Never the less, I'm happy with my choice.
Next step = Unlock Bootloader, Root and get some action going.

Excellent buy.
Wow. I upgraded today from a Galaxy S3 to a Nexus 5. In my 4 hours of using this phome, I have loved every second. One complaint is the speakers. While playing San Amdreas, holding the device blocked the speakers. Any suggestions? Otherwise, this puts my S3 to shame. I called 3 different T-Mobile stores and only one of them in my area actually had one in stock. I was able to get this wonderful device for a mere $27 as the taxes are up front. Anyway, goodbye Scamsung Crapaxy S3. Hello Nexus 5. I say scam cuz
S3 at T-Mobile:$432
Nexus 5 at T-Mobile: $396
Yeah
You decide which is better.

The N5 a year later is still an amazing device. So amazing, that after selling my first one about 6 months ago, I ended up buying another one a month or so ago. The damn thing is fast as hell and buttery smooth, and performs just as well as anything else out there. You made a great purchase, and I hope you enjoy the heck out of it.
As far as the speakers are concerned, it's annoying but it is what it is. I'm used to it, because I'm also an iPhone user and they've always had the same problem. I've learned to adjust my grip so the speaker isn't covered, but it's still annoying. One thing I can recommend, is that you buy a Moga Pro Power controller. I have one for Android, and I also have the Moga Rebel for my iPhone 6, which is essentially the same thing. If you aren't familiar with it, it's just a game pad, but it has a built in clip to hold the phone. No speaker blockage, and gaming with a controller takes things to a completely different level. It works awesome with the N5 and good news for you- San Andreas has native support for it. Check it out- http://www.mogaanywhere.com/controllers/propower
I also hate how my hand covers the speaker when gaming in landscape mode. If I hold the phone so that doesn't happen, it just feels awkward. Other than that, loving this phone, still.
Welcome here! Quite an upgrade from an S3 I had one way back. The N5 is a superb phone imo. I've been on it since launch day and it continues to satisfy my gadget addiction even 1 year later! Enjoy it
Yeah. So much faster than an S3. Even with CM offsetting the crappiness of it. TouchWiz was too slow and unusable. I hope to have this device until I can buy a OnePlus One from T-Mobile. But that'll never happen. I can't believe how smooth and seamless everything is on this phone.
Thanks. I have heard of those controllers before. I will have to look into buying one eventually. I have a USB OTG cable so I can already use an Xbox controller if I want to.
I just upgraded from my Nexus 4 to Nexus 5 . . Don't regret that decision . . . The nexus 4 is still a decent device but I was itching to have the nexus 5 , lovely experience I've had with the n4 and the n5 enhances it further. Oneplus One will be my next upgrade or its successor because the chipset is 32bit and will not fully take advantage of L's 64bit support.
I had an htc one x tegra 3 which has cost me almost 45€ monthly. Now i have a n5 which is by a longshot better and have 30€ per month... Same data and call plan btw... Logic?
I had two GS4 which are hw damaged without any reason, couple days ago i buyed this device really can't complain on anything except cam recorder audio and some sw issues with my first installed rom(Mahdi). Also still can't believe what ppl on youtube saying for N5 battery life because for me it's better than on GS4.Really great device a lot of faster than Touchwiz.

Turn phone 90degrees clockwise instead of counter clock wise. This way speaker is a the top making it less prone to being covered.
N5 has 1 speaker only. The other one is a microphone.
Use this app and those settings. Makes the phone a bit louder.

I don't want a 5.9 inch screen. The Nexus 5 serves me well for what I need to do. Besides, better than S3

If nexus 5 is outdated...i guess 99% of the smartphones with soc older than sd800 are also outdated .....
Oh wait u have a nexus 6 ?
Using less than a day
Im just experiencing my first 24h of this amazing device. I was a bit confused between HTC One M7 ( must mention its look and build quality ) and N5, but the purple tint camera problem of M7 and the too damn high price point was ruined all of my expectation. Eventually bought the N5, 16G with Nillkin case and clear screen protector.
I was a Xperia Ray user for more than 2 years. Surely, no need to mention the performance and storage boost, but that Ray was a beauty I must say (still using it).
Im from Bangladesh. Here Nexus are not that available and we cant order it through any carrier. I want to check the IMEI for originality for this device. Is there any sort of website can do that online? Hoping to have the best from this device. Currently the plan is to use it like OTB for 1 or some months, after that will need to unlock it and see its full potential ( atleast for Viper).

+1. No more blockage issue for me ever since I started doing this many months ago. Most games/apps should auto rotate accordingly.

I prefer my S2 Hercules to the S3. Lol My M8 had to get sent in for warranty repair and I was given an unrooted of course, S3 as a loaner. Was a brutal downgrade. Lol
My rooted S2 danced circles around the S3. So yes, going from an S3 to an N5 would be a great upgrade! Enjoy! ?
Hey all, I absolutely love my nexus 6, enough in fact to replace the screen on it even after buying a Galaxy S8+ as well, and i regularly use it as a work phone, after the conference from google today i fell in love with the new Pixel phones, especially with the XL 2, it reminds me so much of the Nexus 6, with the front firing speakers and the small bezels, I'm going to wait for the reviews for it to come out but I'm debating trading in my Galaxy S8+ for it to be honest, the headphone jack seems like an okay thing to drop for the front facing speakers as i greatly miss them on the S8 and i watch a lot of video on my phone, it's very expensive though so I'm going to have to put a lot of thought into the purchase beforehand and read and watch a lot of opinions like MKBHD and many others.
So my main question to you all is what you think of the new phones, I feel like its a reborn Nexus 6 and i can't wait to get my hands on one
I'm still using my Nexus 6 as my daily driver and I love it as much as I did when I bought it almost three years ago. In theory, the Pixel 2 XL sounds like the perfect replacement for my Nexus 6 but in reality I will wait for some reviews and maybe an update or two before taking the leap.
No wireless charging though!

I bought a wireless charger when I bought my Nexus 6 but it was just something that still needed to be plugged in to USB or AC and I had to find room for it on my already crowded desk. It just didn't appeal to me.

I completely forgot about the wireless charging I bought a PC with a wireless charger integrated into it for my nexus 6 and my S8+ but i just dont use it and I'm quite bummed about it, it's not that big of a loss for me personally but I can see why some people love it so much, it being excluded isn't a deal breaker for me though, and I'm coming round to wireless headphones too :/ perhaps the future is wireless in most ways?

I completely agree, it looks like a solid device to go to from a Nexus 6, I love the size of the 6 and the XL 2 isn't much smaller, the front facing speakers as I said are one of my main reasons for considering it
Happy to see front facing speakers. I've had them with my M8 and N6. Seriously underrated as a feature, I think. I wish the regular Pixel 2 was a little closer to current screen/bezel design. I'm not looking for class leading, but closer would be nice. I'm happy to see OIS and EIS together. I have to imagine that's only going to help with photography. No camera bump either! I'm mildly curious about the squeezable sides. I'm a little bummed about no wireless charging or headphone jack. I don't use wireless as my main charging and I hardly use the headphone jack though. Not deal breakers.
The biggest things drawing me to this phone are the fingerprint sensor, better camera, and unlimited Google Photo storage. I like a lot of other things about it too though. In all honesty I'm having trouble wanting to buy one given the price though. I got my N6 almost 2 years ago for $289 new with warranty. $650 minimum is a FAR cry from that. There's enough difference from the original Pixel to get me to wait for a deal though.
I have to agree. As the leaks came I started to go hummmmm. I love my N6 and until the Pixel 2 announcement today there was nothing out there that tripped my trigger. Like others the 6" screen and the STEREO front speakers are my favorite parts of the N6, it's got a nice display, 64gig is plenty of storage for me. I've never used wireless charging so no lose there for me. I use Bluetooth speakers for 99% of my listening only using ear buds while mowing the lawn. It still runs nice and smooth on stock 7.1.1. About the only complaint I've ever had with the N6 is the slow camera and have never been wild about the curved back side.
So like others I'm going to wait an see what happens once the reviews come around and I've had a chance to go to Best Buy and play with one for a bit. If there is one thing I don't care for on the XL2 is the 18.9 aspect ratio of the screen. I'm sure (hope?) there will plenty of support here on XDA which will be part of the to buy or not.
But dang it sure looks good on paper other than the price of course. If the XL2 was priced where the 2 is it would be real hard to say no to the phone. Maybe Santa will have one in his bag.

Just bought a Pixel 2 XL, feel like a real successor to our beloved shamu.
Now that the flagship phones have been all announced, I'm still deciding between LG v30 or Pixel 2 XL. Thanks to LG v30 wider screen format I'm starting to dislike the elongated looks for both Galaxy Note 8 & Pixel 2 XL. But I've been also warned to stay away from LG phones as they are not community developer friendly devices, having bootloop issues and slow in software updates. Then there's a report of display issues on the LG v30 comparing Galaxy Note 8 on a gray background. The fact that LG made P2 XL I hope that display quality issue doesn't carry over. As for the Pixel 2 XL I wish they could have made the screen bigger than 6 inches, I feel like leaving my Nexus 6 to buy another 6 inch phone there's no excitement to it *sigh*. Or maybe I should just wait for Samsung Galaxy X to come out next year? Decisions decisions.............
I use my headphone jack regularly. Might pick up a Pixel XL (1st gen) if the price is right, but the Pixel 2 has given me reason to limp along with my 6 for another year.

If you are looking for a screen bigger than the Pixel 2 XL, the Galaxy Note8 has a 6.3" screen. The only issue I have had with previous Samsung phones I have owned is the difficulty with rooting and modding them. Besides that, the ones I have owned have been great phones.

Yea I know owned few Samsung phones before, I can deal with curved bezels but definitely not a fan of curved screens. Always dreamed of having a 6in Note but they had to screw it up with the curved screen. Wish they at least made both the flat and curved version. IMO after the galaxy note edge it became a gimmick.
I really like the Pixel 2 XL, but it bothers me that it does not include a headphone jack, SD card slot, and wireless charging since my micro USB port on my Nexus 6 failed leading me to have to use a wireless charger. I'm really considering the V30 since it includes a headphone jack, a nice Quad Dac/AMP, SD Card slot, IP68. I will have to give up stock Android, Front facing speakers, and probably custom ROM support for a while for the V30 sadly.
I'm very disappointed in the designs of both phones, especially the normal Pixel 2. Since pixel phones aren't available in my country, despite huge demand, im not getting one and will stick to my Nexus 6 for atleast one more year

Touch still works perfectly. Really sucks that the screen assembly is so expensive here. Locally I can't get it under 140$. My camera also has issues.
I'm hoping a new camera would fix the problem so that's another 25$ more or less.
The battery is also pretty tired. Might as well change that too... New battery cover?? Why not...
Including shipping. In order to get all parts to me within a week, it would cost almost 200$. (Plus the hours it will take me to get the job done)
I'm having a hard time justifying the cost for such an old device but I do really like my Nexus 6 and just cant get over the fact the pixel 2XL has no headphone jack.
