[Q] [d405]] Which ROM would You like to see on Your L90? - LG Optimus L90

Hello, i'd like to see how many 405 users do we have.
Easiest way is to make poll - it's generally about users preferences about custom ROMs...
Feel free to post other choices and your opinions about ROMs.
Don't mention about MIUI

I can only choose 1 rom... For me carbon (@shoxxy) is pretty good at the moment. I also like CM11 (@quarx) but I miss the front camera. Of course I like to try some other roms !

Guys - could you actually use poll to vote? (i know - it's unavailable via tapatalk.
And not MIUI, please.
BTW - Mahdi is working, too short to judge, but both cameras are working. On-the-go aswell.

Nice!

I really would like to see Slimkat on my device or a really deobloated version of the stock with additional features, but right now I'm running CarbonROM like a charm.
Don't worry I took the vote.

OK, I think I've got my roadmap for L90 now:
Carbon (already done) -> Mahdi (done) -> AOSPA (hopefully today/tomorrow) -> Liquid smooth (maybe, no ETA) -> Crystal PA (no ETA) -> CM11 (no ETA) -> Omni (no ETA) -> AOSP (only if I dare, no ETA).
Then, I'll decide which project is worth to be maintained.

But why not MIUI??!!??? :silly: :silly: (sorry for the spam)

Because it's not (fully) open sourced

It's good to see so much development!

OK, tomorrow i'll see what will happen after installation:

First impression: where da hell did all options go?!? .
Basically now it's like AOSP with themes
Back to Mahdi (for now)

Thanks for the great response.
I think there is no point in compiling / "developing" for D405 variant now...

The best dev for d405 @shoxxy for the special work fix front camera and the kernel adapted @batlin And finally @judas1977 for your projects thank you very much for donations you deserve having completed the paranoid one of the best rom in better circulation of CyanogenMod

Let's say that judas1977 and batlin are the same person.
And i must admit, that AOSPA is really great ROM - i'm preparing Crystal PA - based on AOSPA now...

Good! !

I just tested this rom and its feels good and smooth. All the important stuff works due to sdsl 4
I removed some of the stuff I dont like and now it fits into a system partition of 140

I love CM based roms but can't help but think I would sorely miss the built in Sammy apps like S-note, the ability to write in text fields with the Sammy keyboard and whatnot. Are there any replacements for these apps anybody is using with the Note 2 that would be suitable for the note 8? what an awesome thing it would be to have these functionalities on a CM based Rom on this awesome tablet!

Flashed it and it didn't boot. Blank screen. This is what happened to me when I tried to port some of the Note 10.1 Roms. Lets keep trying. We will have to have Gapps for the CM to work.
Thanks for your efforts.

I too would like to have the stock type apps. But I believe the object here is to see if we can get a ported rom to boot. Once we have this then we can port some of the other custom Roms for our device.

Why its written beta3 in download section , but you are saying its b5.
Is it like its beta 3 of beta5 resources ?
No move to SD Card Option
there's no move to sd card option other than that great ROM, very smooth and battery friendly
Well downloading this rom at present is a waste. Nothing is there what you need. No performance menu. Its just like lx11 with even less features.
After install rom, im install link2sd with ext4 partition but after reboot the phone freeze and reboot itself.

it's the legacy branch of AOSPA, i won't add anything new to the rom, it is pure and compiled from source, it has more options than lx cm... and if you don't like the rom go elsewhere... there are a lot of other roms on xda

And you took me wrong, I said at present this ROM is lagging some features, why would I download if I don't like? I missed common features. That's what I commented, and that's why I added at present.
I know there are other ROMs, as your ROM is new.
Don't be panic.
Yes, some features cant be found in this rom, because it is aospa-legacy and afi's rom is a port from non-legacy device, but it has some nonworking features like tethering and so on. And in my rom all these features are working
Sent from my Xperia Neo using XDA Free mobile app
great rom, now using it,
but video recording doesn't working, and some time it reboot randomly.
still cant wait for the full release..

[KERNEL] HTC First CM-based Kernel

CM-based kernel for the HTC First
The JB Kernel source released by HTC is lacking, to say the least, for anything aosp or cm-based. This port of the CM-maintained MSM8960 kernel should future proof the HTC First for at least 1-2 more Android releases.
The kernel is used in my current CM11 port.

A prebuilt image will not be provided. Use of this kernel assumes knowledge of compilation of kernels. I recommend using gcc 4.7 toolchain to compile the kernel.
Misc notes:
- Holding power key will not reset phone anymore as this functionality isn't implemented in gpio_input and I have no intention of doing so. Instead, the phone can be hard reset by holding power+vol up+vol down simultaneously
Feel free to report any bugs in this thread.
I am so happy to see someone still working on our First !!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for doing this ^^
When do you think you can share your cm 11 for our HTC first ??? ^^ No push just asking. Take you time.
There is no ETA, and I will not make any promises. Currently, the mic does not work in calls, and I will not be releasing it until that is fixed. You may check github.com/CMyst for any bugfixes/updates and once the mic is fixed, an update will be available very soon. However, unlike a previous port of CM11 that another member posted, the graphics are fluid and Wi-fi/BT works. Unfortunately, the camera does not work (almost working) and NFC seems to be broken due to some missing firmware.
It must be a lot of work for you to do by your self. But BIG BIG thank you for doing this. I hope you can release it soooon ~. Thank you again
Any progress update ?? ^^;; I hope you still working on it..

Are you planing to upload cm this Thanks giving???
Numerous fixes have been added to the kernel. The resulting problems with camera (at least I think) and audio amp are userspace.

Without a Download Link this thread is technically considered as a Placeholder. I understand we are trying to test here. So I am going to leave it open. However the thread is moved to General Forum as it belongs there until a valid stable Download link is offered.
OP once you have a Working Download, Report the thread for moving it back to AD.
NOTE - The Request to move MUIST Come from OP and no one else.
