Hey guys I have an LG Optimus 2x A while ago I tried installing cyanogen mod on it and it failed to flash it was cyanogen mod v7 then my phone wouldn't would never boot at all, every time I would try to boot it would just freeze at the cyanogen want to boot screen but it would never open I tried a lot of solutions with one of them work can you guys please help me or tell me if this can't be fixed or how can I fix it I took it to the store and they said He doesn't know how to do it.
By the way the phone is in perfect condition.

hiya right im buying a optimus black p970 and need to knw how to root on this device plus i need a stable version of cm mod 7 or ics mod for it plus recovery mod installed . i aint used a lg in about 2 yrs so new to modding these phones any help would be good im picking it up tomorrow so all the help would be greatful

right ive just tried the other ulocking and the other drivers tht was in tht pack but now my phone wont activate the usb debugging when i plug in the usb nothing comes up

thanks for the reply ive managed to do it ive got root from gingerbreak which i didnt think would work but now how do i get the cm recovery onto it do be able to put custom rom it as i aint seen cm7 for it on any of the pages im only on android 2.2.1 it wont let me upgrade to a newer version of android if u can take me through the steps and the one recovery tht i can use for cm7 and the cm7 rom id be extremly greatfull

Why should anyone help you if you're obviously unwilling to put in even the minimum amount of work?
I have put in work thank you but i want to do it right and not screw it over plus the last time i done this i screwed over my xperia play and dont want to do it with this phone . Sorry if tht sounds disrespectful it dont mean to be i want to put on a rom tht works and tht i can keep on this phone without swapping and changing all the time

I have mate i found it slightly confusing about the roms ive got cm recovery on it from the rom manager installing it but now thts all i need is a stable cm tht i can use for everyday use . Theres quite a few on tht page u give me but like i say i dont want to make the wrong choice in rom and screw it over. Like i say im not a novice but want to get it right first time round . Im scared of bricking it like i done with my play

In fact, you cant really brick any device, since it is software modding only ;-) if you cant recover your phone nomore, i am quite sure, it was a hardware bug. Or you completely didnt follow a guide given...

The easiest way :
- install ROM manager
- flash CWM from it
- put your rom (zip) in your sd card
- reboot to recovery from ROM manager
- flash it from CWM

The replys both to noobs yes its a full brick i went and put custom rom onto it but couldnt play the playstation games on it so went bck to stock rom it told me to update which i done it bricked my phone yes it was my fault i shouldnt hve done the update as stated in last bit of post . This is y i want to do it tidy so i dont mess it. Up this time the wife will go nuts if i do so trying to do it right this time with no screw ups .

There is no WRONG CM. Go to http://get.cm/?device=p970 and choose the one you like. Mostly the new ones are better, but not always, since they sometimes produce unknown errors. I wouldnt flash CM anyway, if your new to flashing and stuff. Better try v3 of huexxx's Zeus ROM. Find it in DEV Section.
PM me, if you still have your old bricked phone. And give me your Facebookname, cause maybe we can unbrick it
I tried zeus v3.2, there are bugs that needs to be fix. I encountered the need to re-enter my google account password every restart. The call function seems to lag and sometimes FC.
This is my experience and thus sharing it here will give the DEV to fix it for us.
Then you definitly either chose the wrong version, or made a fault during installation. I am using it since the beginning and never had any bug with it. And trust me, cm still has faaaaaaar more bugs ;-)

i just installed the cm7 nightly rom on my lg thrill and i cannt get the android market to work at all.. the icon is there but it just wont work.. i tried downloading it it manually online but that didnt seem to work either.. i dont know what else to do at this point.. can someone please help me? it would be very much apreciated..

im new to all this rooting and stuff i just figured out how to actually root my phone last week.. i can get the thriller and doomed froyo roms to run flawlessly but its bugging me that i cant the cm7 rom to run properly considering there is still alot of work goin on with it for the thrill.. what exactly does flshing gapps mean. i did the manual cwm for the thrill but i just dont know what im doing wrong..

so probably another dumb question but is the lestacious rom compatible witht the lg thrill? if so can i just download it from the lestacious website?
Download gapps from cwm. Fyi cm7 deleted all network settings on my thrill. Took 3 hr to flash baseband sucked

It's a fabulous ROM everything works excellently but the only problem I have is that this does not lift on that 3G network says it is disconnected but not if others have this problem! I have tried to change the BB but without success! Verda and it's a shame that took months looking for a ROM like this and now I get this who knows of any way to fix it? the model is P990h Movistar Venezuela and published it here because I can not in the other forum for noob! ejeje hope someone can help me thanks! xD!:angel:
Ugh... Was it really necessary to make your entire post the size of a tabloid header?
You are saying you tried changing the BB unsuccessfully. What did you try? What error(s) did you get? If you want to get help, you need to be more specific than that... The short answer: to flash a BB, you need the FLS file and SmartFlash. The procedure has been described many times, just search for it. To get you started, take a look at this very useful thread by tonyp. If you need more details, you have to provide more details with your question.

Dry your eyes!!!!
You need to access CWM from boot.
Power down phone, press Volume Down and then Power button. Keep pressing until second bootlogo appears, then you are in CWM.
gps problem
hy guys iam new to this forum ive read very much but i cant fix it myself
first i want to thank tonyp and harsh for this amazing rom! everything works fine except gps.
The only time my gps worked like it should was with the chuck norris rom based on cm7
Has anyone an idea what i could try like i sayd i dont know much about this stuff

Google search isn't there for me, in the ROM! Play Store is present and I downloaded GMail from the market. I don't know how to get Search. tried flashing a couple of Gapps but it kept crashing, saying google.process.login.gsf stopped unexpectedly. Any support here?

Mewbie here... just downloaded the flash/ROM tool from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975274 and installed on my LG Optimus 2x (I'm with Canada Fido), and installation went smoothly.
But there is no "play store" included. I managed to download one online and installed (com.android.vending-3.9.17.apk), but it doesn't work!! It just flashes for half a second and closes itself. I went to manage apps, and see it's still running (there's "force close" option). Closed it and try to restart it, the same thing. I tried to roboot phone a couple of times, same thing. Tried to uninstall and install again, same thing.
Please help?? Many thanks!

hey guys just got done rooting my droid 3.. used the latest safestrap thx hashcode... flashed darkness falls rom and everything seems fine..other then the bluetooth and lack of vid camera everything works great... one hang up i have and idk how to deal with it.. im new to this hacking phones thing.. battery life..
there seems to be a big desperity between the stock and custom rom.. stock rom says i have 90 percent battery. custom says 66.. i tryed using calibrators on the market.. but dont know if there gimmicks or what... maybe someone has ran into this problem and can help... any and all help will be appretiated.. as i said im a newb with this stuff..

I explain my problem:i got an lg 2x and i'm running cm10 and it's actually pretty good imho. Yesterday eve i tried to install Miui 4.2, just to see how it was like. No problems during installation itself, but when i rebooted my phone, it stucked on the animation (the M with loading bar beneath) for hours (just saying). Then i tried with Django and Hd Nova: same thing. I did a full wipe (cache+dalvik) and i still don't get where my mistake is. Might you help me out please? Thank you all!

It depends what cm10 version you are running
There are versions for old and new bootloader,if you are running on official cm10 then you are on old and you need to switch to new bootloader and then you can use new bootloader rom's,there are tutorials in general section how to do it :good:
