Hi all,
I traded in my Z1 and backed up everything with the sony stock backup and restore app in the Z1 with SD card. Now the Z3C doesn't have the app.......any chance I can download that app onto the Z3C?
Thanks in advance.
The app on z1 - z1c can restare only other same devices, with the same firmware version. If you want a cross device or cross firmware backup you need to use the PC Companion backup

Hey, I recently upgraded my Z1 to 4.4(Flashtool) but when i try to restore backup, appears this, how can i fix that?
"selected backup records cannot be used due to incompatible software versions. Please select a more recent backup file"
Please help me!
What are you trying to restore? What app are you using to restore? Maybe the app is not compatible with KitKat (i.e. not Sony problem).
Xperia Z1 doesn't restore Backup Files after upgrading to 4.4 software!
im also face the same problem!!! incompatibility version, please help me!
People, if you do not explain what tool are you using, which version, which firmware, which phone model, and so on, we cannot help much.
Hey gents,
Last night I rooted my Xperia SP and flashed it to the CM 11.
I've made a backup of some of my apps using the Sony Xperia Back up and Restore tool (yeah, I know, that wasn't smart).
Now that everything running fine, there is still the matter of restoring those items, which are stored in the ".semc-fullbackup" folder.
I can see several back-ups, but no way to restore them.
Is there any Back-up and Restore tool that can handle those sony backups and functions for Android 4.4?
Or can I put the data back manually somehow?
Thanks!
Dear Friends,
I use sony Xperia SP C5302 Model. I have took the back up of all my contacts, Msgs & Apps from Android Version JB 4.1 and upgraded my android version to JB 4.3 but now i could not able to reinstall my back up contacts and apps in the newer version. Before update I did a backup of all application with Backup&store preinstalled app to SD card. please help me to resolve this problem because i have all my official data in that back up only.
Thanks in advance

Dear Friends,
Please help me by giving some solution for re installing.

If the backup was made to internal sdcard then it would have probably erased during update.

If you are pretty sure the integrity of the backup, I think the last option now is to return to 4.1 and restore from there. Afterwards, root it and back it up darn perfect with Titanium backup, and then proceed to return to 4.3.
Would you like to do this? If so, I will explain steps by steps.
Hey guys,
before I'd flash my Xperia SP with Cyanogenmod, I was wondering what way I could backup (And restore!) the original firmware of my device incase I want to switch back to stock.
I just want to be sure I don't mess up and I can repair back to original

I don't know how you'd back up your firmware, but there a list of all stock FTF files here. Just find the appropriate one, download it and flash using flashtool when you want to go back to stock. Note that this will factory reset your phone and you'll lose all your data if you didn't have a backup
You can also make a nandroid backup if you have recovery installed.
Also to back up your apps, I suggest an app like Titanium Backup

After you install recovery, there is an option called back up and restore. Hit that and backup your stock rom to sdcard.
hey
i have issues with my xperia sp.
do you know what is the fastest rom for xperia sp?
After you make sure you understand clearly all concepts required, such as doing system wide backups, how to restore your phone to a stock rom, how to unlock your bootloader, install a recovery and install a rom which is not the stock for your phone, you should check AdrianDC's ROMs for it.
