I activated the Developer Option, which is something I always do. However, on my Note 4 the screen started turning red. Have anyone else experienced this problem?

I'm not sure what the problem is. I changed my animation from 1.0 to 0.5 on all three. Check that and see if you encounter the problem.

In the developer's options everything should be at default all
except for USB Debugging (that's only after you have root).
Good luck!

I don't root my phones, but I always change the animation settings. That's when I encountered the problem.

Have you tried to change them back to 1.0 ?
Is the screen red right now? or just when you enable the lowered settings?

Is there any way to check which applications are causing the orientation on my Tab 7" to lock?
When my tab boots up, during scanning of the media files, the screen can rotate automatically when i change the orientation of the tab.
After scanning and a while, the screen will be locked, as it will not rotate anymore when I turn it around. (discovered this while playing burn the rope. Keep failling 1st stage).
I have browsed through the Application settings but I dun see any mention of them having access to lock the orientation.
I have also upgraded to the 2.3.3 firmware recently. The applications I reinstalled in my Tab did not cause this issue to happen before the upgrade.
And before somebody points me out the obvious, yes I checked the Auto-Orientation Lock in the pulldown menu. Whether it is on or off it doesn't matter. Same issue. Locked.
May be another obvious thing that you've just not mentioned, but have you checked settings -> display -> auto-rotate? It can cause a stupid conflict with the "lock orientation" toggle.

I did not mention it because under display, there is no auto-rotate option.

Guess we're on different firmware then. Worth checking anyway

I dun remember seeing it there on 2.2, now that i'm on 2.3.3, it's also not there. so i dunno where to check.
Very stupid question, but I can't seem to find the settings where to set amount of seconds the device should need before locking the screen after it turns of and setting letting my instantly lock the screen via the power button.
Am I stupid or something? Serously, I have looked through the entire phone and I know I've seen it somewhere.

Settings -> Security
You can only change it if you use something other than swipe.

Damn. Thanks Lol.. there i have it.
I have noticed that I cannot activate that option if I change some number of options in Settings. Does anyone know why and which options prevent it's use?

If you turn off animations, you can't activate UI manager.

I was unaware of that, and do not recall it posted anywhere.

I experienced it first hand. Took a lot of research to find out what was causing the problem. It certainly is not well publicized.
Note that you have to reboot after enabling animations, for UI manager to be accessible.

Developer options is at the bottom of the main settings menu. Back out of the software version and scroll to the bottom of the page.

suddenly after 24 hours of updating to android 12 my phone screen went to be pink
Well ain't that purdy...
Try clearing the system cache but really you should probably do a factory reset.
Lol, Android 11 and 12 are 2 pills I'm not swallowing.
Hmm, that is strange. It looks exactly like if you have enabled "Show surface updates" in developer settings. Check in developer settings and make sure it is set to off.

Just turn off Developer options to reset to default as sometimes it goes glitchy and needs a reset.
