GSM Europe
Hey Guys,
I use my Droid 4 in Europe (Germany) and I have no clue to activate the gsm part. I read something about a "gsm-fix", but how i use it and where i can get it?
I hope you can help me, because Slimkat seems to be very slim .

Yes battery consumption, is a result more or less from it's behavior .
switched to this a few days ago. great rom, loving it! everything is working well. performance seems good. installed latest pa-gapps and they seem to be working.
1 major annoying bug tho: lte mobile data drops out often, and i have to do airplane mode on/off to fix it. i have noticed this with CM11 also, but it doesn't happen with the stock rom. is this a known issue? is there any fix?
thanks!
Battery life
How is the battery life with this rom? I have used stock rom quiet a long time, but the performance was not like I expect it. Now I'm using the [ROM][4.2.2][OFFICIAL] LiquidSmooth v2.2.1 performance is better but my battery life has decreased from around 40h to 24h. So I'm not very happy with that
Slimkat 8.10
Is there a reason why I can't use speech to text for this rom? or CM11? When I used Cyanogenmod 10.2.1 or 10.1.3, I had speech to text..
Can anyone help me?
Thanks
Did you install Google Package?

I installed mini gapps. Is there something else I am missing?
It looks like speech recognition doesn't work in Slimkat
I recommend to change a system, because Slimkat is old and (probably) unsupported

hi guys
What is the best rom i9000 in the battery consumption ?
It's less to do with the actual ROM, and more to do with how many apps you have running in the background, what baseband you're using, and what you use your phone for (i.e lots of 3d gaming = battery death)
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
The best ROM is found when creating a thread in Q&A Section of the forum to ask this question and not in the Development section of the forum . But anyway to answer your question : you need to test ROMs and configurations by yourself. Someone told me that a ROM XYZ is the best for performance and ZYX is best for battery life. That was not the case for me even tho I have a relative new battery ( a couple of months old now) and the battery life sucked for me on that ROM a couple of people recommended. So test test test to get your perfect answer without placebo effect. If 2 guys here tell you that ROM ABC has the best Battery life, if you flash it, placebo effect gets control and you say wow, omfg, etc. So test a ROM you like for 2 days then switch to another and see how they perform for you.
Also, as knuckles1978 said, you also need to experiment with different Radios/Basebands/Modems (whatever you want to call it)

Dear XDA Community,
dear Demetris,
This Thread is about http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2760771
Unfortunately it's not allowed to me to post anything in the official thread, cause I'm new here on the board. BTW: This hard rule makes it almost impossible to take part or give feedback to the developers. As well it's not allowed to send a direct message to anyone. I could imagine that many users actually would like to help to make things better, but that they gave up due to this hard restriction.
Okay, back to Topic.
I tested a lot ROMs for the P880 and the "LiquidSmooth v3.1" from Demetris ist the best for me. It has all this kind of stuff what I need. Pie control (customizable), Halo and it runs really smooth and fast. I would like to say big thanks for this nice ROM to Demetris! Great work, please keep going.
Some questions / minor bugs:
Battery
If the WiFi Module is activate it's not possible to charge the battery. That means I lose more energy as the charger can put in.
(Without WiFi) I'm not able to charge over 95% if the phone is on (Power on but screen is off).
Question
The thread title is saying that's about a official ROM. Is there I reason why I can't find this ROM at the official http://liquidsmooth.net page?
Do you plan to update / maintain this nice ROM in the near future? It would be really nice.
It would be nice if someone could point / link Dimitri to this Thread. My fear is, that he will not notice it.
Best & Thanks,
HDSteff
Official means @Demetris compiled it using official CyanogenMod sources and he is our maintainer on this project AFAIK he maintains liquidsmooth too... But I can be wrong...
Hey gerciolisz,
Thank you very much for your answers!
Maybe Demitris will find a minute to take a look into my thread.
Best,
HDSteff
1. You cant find a rom on official page because looks like they are stuck at v3.0 http://liquidsmooth.net/?page_id=12
2. Updates will come but as Liquidsmooth dont have an autobuild system i need to manually build the rom myself but doing that i lost 2 hdd's thus far due to heat & extreme usage
Im thinking about take back my P880 and try this rom

Hey Demetris,
Thanks a lot for your time & Feedback!

Could you post how many files do you have in Android folder. I have 46168 files / 917 folder for a grand total of 850.76MB. I'm wondering is it normal to have so many files, or did I miss something while flashing?
Edit: Nevermind, ES Explorer finally managed to count which folder it was. Apparently an old VLC installation had most of those files. I finally managed to delete all of it.
Go on.
Signal los / RIL issue
Hello,
I am running the Liquidsmooth version 3.2-2014-07-21, kernel 3.1.10-cm+ september 2 2014 and I have this issue. Im loosing network signal in "3G only" mode and it doesnt recovers (it frezes). If i use device in "2G only mode" mobile data connection only, the signal does not crash, and signal almost never goes down(2 times in week).
Devs any solution on this? RIL issue?
Regards and sorry for bad english.

PRL Updates
I want to thank you all for an amazing OS! It's packed with a lot of awesome features and it's stable! My only question/ concern is this........ Is there any way to receive PRL information from the carrier? I have Sprint. Naturally, service isn't optimal. However, I am able to access the network alright. Any suggestions? Thanks again!
your welcome..cdma is the hard part of CM. i have be looking to see how we can toggle radio better to obtain the right info from sim and modem. there r a few commits on CM i can look into..but maybe to help u i seen a sprint flash zip in the forum somewhere to help for service..i never looked at that package not sure it if it will help or break what CM has

Thanks for the insight! It's impressive I got a response so quickly! I couldn't find any Sprint specific zips that would be compatible with the Nexus 6. Just wanted to let you know that the 12-15-2014 build causes the OS to not receive an IP address from the carrier (Sprint). This happens on both 3G and LTE. I just rolled back to the 12-13 build and the OS could receive an IP address from the carrier. Again, thanks for the work on CM12 for the Nexus 6! I am really enjoying being part of the alpha testing and development.....

flashlight
Is it just me or is the flashlight missing from notification drawer?
I am also looking for more insight into getting this(and others) ROM working smoothly with Sprint data. I have seen things about a zip for getting Sprint data to work, but I am weary about flashing things not meant for my Nexus 6. Thank you and keep up the good work
The tap to wake toggle isn't working. Running very well for me on TMobile. Not a deal breaker but I'd like to disable it. Can someone point me to what I need to edit?
Wireless Charging not working?
Great work on the release.
Only one hiccup so far. My wireless Qi chargers aren't working since I flashed.
Anyone else having this problem?
Hello! Thank you for bringing cm12 to the N6! Two questions: I can't seem to get the quickboot feature to work after enabling it in developer options. When I try to power down it does nothing. Second, how can we get the dark framework like cm11s?

Is it smoother than stock 5.0? Havent flashed 5.0.1 yet and havent recieved ota yet. 5.0 has been glitchy especially after root.

Just wanted to say thank you!
Thank you for bringing an update to my favorite ROM.
You are welcome. I still have a ways to go to add some of the Moto X-specific stuff in but I am working on it as I am able to.
So far so good running the 22/06 build, tough I'd like to know if there will ever be support for custom kernels without breaking the gestures functionality.
By the way, could you make up a little changelog whenever you make a new build? I think it'd be interesting to see what's being added .
Thanks for bringing my favorite Moto G ROM to the Moto X, really liking it and I'm looking forward to this one get updated constantly
PA 5.1. release
Hey, dude!
First of all, congratulations for your hard work!
You must have seen PA's new release from today, right? They already included Immersive Mode on 5.1 Nexus line.. Any chance you could include that on victara's builds?
Thanks!
Is there any way to enable battery percentage within the circle icon in status bar? Also any way to enable network meter in status bar?
Rooted/unlocked my Moto X (XT1092) only in order to install ParanoidAndroid : again, fantastic job gdanko ! I hope you'll keep updating this rom as often as you do now, but so far everything is stable and a pleasure to use.
I use it with Render Kernel : the only thing I am missing is the active display (wave to have notifications) but it seems to be kernel related only.
Thanks for your work !
Now that it has been merged with the AOSPA-L main line, maybe you could change the topic title for "Official" ?
Amazing rom, been using it for more than a week and not a single bug since then. Great work once again.
I've been using this ROM for a couple of days now and its been a really good experience overall.
I'm having some Bluetooth related issues that I did not have when I was using the XT1097 Stock ROM.
My Bluetooth car stereo dos not find any contact to copy to its own list
Spotify Bluetooth playback is randomly skipping (little gaps)
IDK if the problem is with my setup but until last week (when I was still using the stock ROM) none of those issues ever happened.
Is Netflix working fine for you guys?

Hello PPL,
sorry for my newbie question... only during this summer changed to moto x (from atrix 1)
can I install this rom on my XT1096? Any guide how to open bootloader or how to install the custom ROM?
maybe I'm getting older, because I miss somehow CM7 based MROM of Atrix 4G.
I'm happy only with way better camera of moto X and CPU of course. But contact's, dialer, battery life, fingerprint - much comfortable on Android 2.7

Nice Job
I've been using the XDABBEB roms exclusively on my G2 for a long time. I got fed up with the jank and lag of the stock 5.0.2 ROM and decided to try this rather than go back to 4.4.2. What a breath of fresh air! Incredibly smooth. I am going to stick with this as my daily driver until the new nexus comes out this fall. I do have one question: Is it impossble to get VoLTE/Advanced Calling working on this ROM? I've scoured the internet for half a day and tried all the suggestions (remove the feature from my plan, re-add it, use the *#*#4636#*#* secret phone menu, etc.) , but I have concluded it just doesn't work on AOSP. True?

Mobile data fixed?
I noticed in the latest build I don't have to fiddle with the APNs after I reboot to get mobile data working. Was this fixed or just an anomaly? The only minor inconvenience I have noticed with this ROM and it might be related to the baseband or mobile data, is whenever I am in a crowded venue (small concert, fairs, etc.) I cannot send or receive MMS no matter how long I wait. But as soon as I get away from the crowds, on another tower presumably, it works. Is this just me or have others noticed this?

I never have to mess with apns after reboots.
On a side note. I love this ROM. But, I have never used other kernels on a caf based ROM. If I was to flash kernel will any kernel that states caf based do. Or is there more to it. Any kernel suggestions

I think you'll be looking for cm based as well. I know render kernel was working but I haven't tried it lately. @Lawlrus might be able to chime in... I know he plays around alot with mixing and matching.
What kernel does anyone suggest for this ROM?
The one that comes with it is all I've used... Hopefully someone else can help more.
