[Q] Speaker rattles at high volume - Asus Transformer TF701

Is it possible that the internal TF701 speaker is broken?
Once I set 60% volume, the speaker rattles and distorted sounds.
How can I test it? Ev. a CM11 problem?
I am not aware of when deterioration has occurred.

My best guess is that it has come a bit loose and the vibration from high volume levels makes it rattle

Now install stock firmware and have the same issue. All tones with higher volume have distortion.
Back to Asus Support (warranty)
Thanks for you effort.

Headphone loudness??

Anyway to increase the sound when using headphones, without rooting or modding my phone? They seem to be really quiet even when cranked up to the full.

Without those things, nope.
I find it hurting loud on headphones though when volume is on max.

So is it possible with rooting or modding?
Maybe I'm just going deaf!
Even without rooted or modded, my headphone is still loud enough.

Very low volume/sound...

Hi guys my gear is suffering from very low sound volume from the speaker, I can hear it its just very faint. It used to work fine, here is my set up ...stock NA3 which I have since downgraded to stock mk7 I also downgraded the gear manager and have performed multiple resets nothing seems to help. Is my only hope to send it to Samsung? it works, i just can't hear the bloody thing!

Anybody?? My 1st thought was software issue but I'm now thinking hardware issue

Did you get water in it?
I don't think so though but I guess it's possible. ... It's in for warranty repair at the moment, I will update when I get it back. On a side note I find myself really missing the convenience of staying in touch with the world at the flick of the wrist, after having a smart watch I can't imagine myself ever not owning one.

Okay, I called Samsung last Friday morning and by Saturday morning they had sent out the return envelope... Posted Monday morning and have just received a brand new watch and cradle back from them! So 6 days in total from 1st contact to new watch on my arm, THANK YOU VERY MUCH SAMSUNG.

Do you happen to have the contact information for them? Mine is doing the same thing. I don't think it's a water issue either. Thanks a million

I think I may go to best buy and mess around with their watches and compare sound levels. See if it's normal to be lower or if mine is just low. I feel they should have included the speaker on the actual strap facing you (opposite the camera).

Maybe some funk got in the speaker hole or the speaker itself got inverted somehow.

I blew some compressed air into the speaker and it seems to be louder now.
Hope this helps someone else in this position.

Rear Speaker?

My rear Speaker is really weak. Talking on speakerphone with any background noise renders it useless. Is this just my model or others have the same issues?

Mine is pretty similar. As well as my friend who has one on T-Maybe (hahaha). It vibrates at full volume.
It's a bummer. I don't expect the world from every phone but at this point the least we could get in such a premium is a decent speaker. Kind of pisses me off.

Every review I've watched so far said this has one of the loudest loudspeakers ever. Weird.
Yeah well its possible I just have a defective speaker.

I have to agree on it being a loud speaker. Earlier this evening I just streamed from music from the Play Music app and it was remarkably loud and clear.
Sure, it was no BoomSound and you could for sure tell that the sound source was a cell phone, but it was definitely one of the better speakers I've encountered on a phone.
Put me in the unhappy with the S5 speaker column. yes, it can be "loud" but it often seems "tinny" with distracting vibrations through the back cover that make the device seem hollow. subjective opinion obviously

On my second one. Both, same observation as yours. Loud as Hell, but "tinny" and the '"rattle" when turned up is really, really disturbing. Also, does anyone else feel a "bumping" of the speaker through the center of the back of the phone when on loudspeaker and/or playing media? It's almost like the phone's back is going to blow off due to this heavy beating from the sound through the back-casing. Again, second specimen; same issue(s)...

Earpiece replacement with loudspeaker

Is it possible when I buy the same loudspeaker from z1 from ebay and remove the earpiece speaker and build in the loudspeaker? So I have two loudspeakers same quality same loudness and better stereo effect is that possible?, or it will conflict with the system, I mean speaker is speaker am I right? So there must be no problem but just to be secure asking if that is possible

Im no expert here but even if you can do so, the replaced one will be front facing and the one down there will be down facing. /_\
Z1 is still Z1. Sad to tell.
The original speaker isn't very good anyway.
Haha Ofcoz it'll be good if you can make both speaker front facing
From my guess, the earpiece speakers would also have different specifications like power and impedance. You might blow it if the power doesn't match. I mean the earpiece might not just be limited by it's size, but also the lack of a dedicated amp to drive it.

so it means the earpiece can be as good as the loudspeaker when it have more power (voltage)? It will use battery aswell I guess
