Well, i was browsing stuff on ebay, and came across these batteries very cheap (0.11 cents plus 9 bucks shipping) and i wanted to know if they were any good or if they would blow up my phone.
I bought these for the hell of it. still waiting to receive them
Me too, and there was just 1 minute left before the bid ended XP
I got 2. Maybe it was something software wise but my battery indicater was all over the map. It once said I had 52% left and then after a reboot it said 74% they work great as a backup but I wasn't too happy using them as my primary batteries. The stock one registered fine before and after. I even tried clearing the battery stats and tried again with the same results.

will check whenever i recieve them, this does not sound too good. is this much of a problem?
Hello, I'm new here and was looking around and saw this thread. I have these batteries and charger. They are as good as the stock battery and the charger works good. I also got two of the 3500mah with a charger and back cover for $22.99. I'm getting over 44hrs uptime with them. I am currently at 68% with 22 hrs uptime and 4.5 hrs awake time. They've gotten better after three charges. It's nice to go a whole day without worrying about juice.

Yes, and also, if you have the android sdk on your computer, you can look in the tools folder for an program that monitors your phone. I do not recap the name of the program, but a quick google search should help you

I bought this package the first week I got my phone it's well worth it, as I'm a heavy user and use 2 or 3 a day. they last about 80-90% of the stock battery (in my experience).

Well i figured it out. I got a screen shot but how do I upload the pic from my pc to here. When I click the icon to add a pic it asks for a URL for the pic. Do I have to upload it to a web site first?
I think I got it. I had 54% battery left and the battery is a 3500mah from Hong Kong.
well, i finally got them, they are 1500 mah, and they are about a millimeter thicker than the oem 1300 batts, its a bit harder to put the back on, and i dont notice any wierd battery notification icons. i will be on the road tomorrow, so i can record watever i get, and post it here
Look, every day or so I dig through the Unl3ash3d threads praying to find some magical fix to my battery drain issue.
I've tried to convince myself its just the 1% messing with my mind but I can't keep living a lie. My battery drained this morning 10% in under an hour with me not even touching it (screen off).
My engineering mind goes into troubleshooting mode. Seems like some are having battery problems and some are not.
What has everyone chosen during set up for the location settings? I think it gives the options, google, verizon, our stand alone.
Could this be the culprit?

And before anyone asks, yes I calibrated battery. Did it manually the first two times without any improvement then I even used the silly app in the market that does it for you.
GPS is never actually using power unless an app is using it (and you'll see the location icon in the notification bar). I would turn off any apps that use GPS in the background, but I wouldn't worry about it otherwise.

Have you looked at this thread? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1287944
I was having the battery drain issues, but they seemed to get fixed after I re calibrated , and let it fully die before I charged it.
I have mine in a custom batter profile. the radio is set to turn off after 15 minute of no activity.
5h, 5m on batter at 86% right now.
Sent out couple texts, couple apps updated like weather, made a few short voice calls.
Screen brightness is all the way down.
I remember I used to use the "ondemand" scaling setting for the cpu, that seemed to help with power, if its that big of a concern (you will have to deal with potential random restarts tho).
Maybe try re wiping and re flashing? Or start eliminating apps?

I had read some of it. Just got all caught up. Thanks.
I am using the stock launcher so I'm not sure about those processes described.
I would respond over there but for some reason (maybe because I'm new here our the system thinks I'm a bot) I can't reply in that thread.
I'm wondering if it's beautiful widgets that it's the culprit. That's one the the guy over there mentioned that I also have. I'm gonna in UN,install

Yeah, I like the thinness, so instead of extended battery, I have extra standard batteries I carry.
I'm going through two or two and a half batteries in a day though.

My stock battery ran down by about 10 hrs for me and my use and I have BW installed too. I bought the extended and now i'm still at 70% at 10PM when I plug it in for the night. Everything else is default settings. I check 2 emails accounts, twitter, facebook, talk, skype and voice constanly. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Good luck.
But I hate the camera, it sucks.
You do realize that once your battery hits full charge the phone stops charging and starts feedinding off the battery until you unplug the phone and reconnect it. So one you active your phone in the morning it was probably charged a good 6 hours before that point and during that time it was draining the battery so you get thaf sudden drop first thing. I dont think most people realize thjs.

They design the charging system like this on purpose. If the phone kept recharging every time the battery dropped a couple percent it would kill the battery very fast. Batteries have a limited amount of charging cycles before they are no goodeverytime you go into a charging phase that subtracts a cycle.so if it did this 30 times a night you can see the problem. I would not worry about that ten percent and instead track the last 90 percent and see how much lief that gives you. I will bet its on par with most others.

Wi-Fi connection the whole time?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4
Man!
Almost 7 hrs of SOT... Thats Frigging AWESOME! Can you tell us your usage patterns? What was enabled/disabled...? Majority time on WiFi or Mobile Network (2g/3g/HSPA/LTE). Signal Strength of the Carrier
On my N4, the highest ive gotten is 5 1/2 hrs of SOT and that is with most of the stuff disabled and on wifi!
Whoa! At first 11 hours looked bleak, but 7 hours of screen-on time sounds fantastic!
Wifi on the whole time or not.. 7 hours of SOT is impressive.. especially on a 2300mAh battery
as a current S4 user, seeing things like this is making me really impatient in waiting for the N5! i could barely get 5 hours SOT on an AOSP rom on my S4 or even on TW and this was with greenify and auto sync off at night.
really hoping that once I get my N5 average SOT time will be 4-5 hours as thats all i really need to be satified

What screen brightness setting are you using? I barely hit 3 hours of on-screen time on my galaxy S3 so this looks really good! :good:
The most screen on time I used to get on my S4 is 5:30 with wifi only use. That number has dropped to 4:00 now on wifi and 3:00 when I am on LTE for pretty much the whole time.
This battery life is impressive to me and seeing the camera comparisons between nexus 5/S4 and having the Nexus 5 win has solidified by decision to get a nexus 5. Now if only I didn't have to wait 3-4 weeks...

3) Do you have facebook/twitter/instragram...etc?
That looks amazing. Also that resolution on the screenshot....

Hey mate, that's a miracle, the curve goes even up at times
You obviously made some micro-charges during the day, you cheeky troll
For the first charge out of the box, should you charge the device on or off in order to get the best out of the battery as well as improving battery's lifespan? Cheers
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
Those two little bumps where it goes up in charge I think are where I had it plugged into the pc to transfer stuff across.
Anyway.....
Wi-fi was on all day apart from a couple of occasions where I went out for a short while and it was on H+ (full signal)
Google Now is disabled.
Sync is enabled.
Screen is on auto-brightness but my living room is fairly bright and so I'd guess at the screen being on 50-75% brightness all the time.
Those 7 hours of screen on time were pretty much all down to browsing on Chrome and aimlessly scrolling on Facebook.
I'm very impressed with this phone (even though my power button rattles) and at first didn't know if I'd made the right choice ditching my S4 to get it, but after having it since Friday I'm glad I did now. Another thing, the signal is great. On my S4 in the gym I used to get 1- 2 bars of 3G signal at best, with the N5 I get 4 bars of H+.
For anyone thinking about getting this phone, you won't regret it, especially if you're not a fan of having to charge your phone at 3pm because it's dead.

I ran it down Friday and charged it overnight, then ran it down again Saturday, charged it over night (both times 0% to 100% and both times whilst I was in bed I left it switched on but in aeroplane mode) and this was the result on Sunday's usage.
Did you put the charger twice?, the charging bar is empty, but in the graph there're two times it seems it was charging.

Thanks, nice results though!.
I've seen multiple devices I've owned including this one where the battstats go up in tiny peaks without me charging it. Just saying, it happens even if it wasn't plugged in to PC. If u were in the PC we would have seen the charging bar wouldn't be empty. Its almost like the battstats graph predicts usage and where the batt prolly will fall to but then if u stop using it it goes back. Idk hard to explain.

Hello guys I've bought my LG G Watch R this monday and I find it as a very useful device. But there's a problem (?) with it. LG says it can hold up to 3 days, and ppl say it's up to 2,5. Dunno why, but mine seems to hold up max to 24h. After buying it I turned it on, connected, updated to 5.0.1 and for like 3 hours maybe the battery was 100%. It was a little strange for me, especially considering the fact, that during the update the watch heated up a bit, so it had to use some battery. After some time it starded to discharge. REALLY FAST. It was like a few % per minute. I was like "hmm.. maybe the battery is not calibrated properly yet or sth." So i turned on a stopwatch and let it discharge fully (in like 20-30 minutes from about 75%). Then I plugged it in to let it charge and went to sleep. I don't remember the percentages during the day before but today it's kinda weird. I have some apps, but it's not much. Watch is always connected to phone, I don't use the "screen always on" option. The brighntess was set on 1 since first bootup. I use the built-in Club watchface. What is more, I can say that I don't use the device every minute. It's in idle most of the time!
I'm using Galaxy Note 3 with custom rom.
The watch is: G Watch R 30A2, build number: LWX48P.
The stat's window from Android Wear app is in attachment.
Since taking the screenshot to now (from 9:30 PM to 9:51 PM) it used another 3%, so it's 64% now.
Any suggestions before going to the store and demanding a new watch or a repair? Did anyone else encounter a similar problem?
Cheers
I would try a factory reset on the watch. That's the kind of battery life I get with the screen always on.

Thanks for your reply! I'll give it a try and post about the outcome tomorrow
Also, the battery will be at its prime after few cycles ... give it one week to get to the nominal power.
I've had the exact same issue with both my watches (got a replacement due to dead pixel on first) and after a reset both have worked super!
Thank you guys for your replies I did the factory reset and now everything works flawlessly Stats showed nearly 3 days of battery life when I checked it this morning so everything is fine now Thank you once again

Hey guys, recently my phone has been turning off at around 15-20% battery remaining. Before it drop from 15% to 1% within a matter of 45 seconds and then die, but as of recently it has been turning off at 20% and then it goes into a bootloop until I plug it in again. I've a N910W8 and am on TEKXodus URv3.6R3. I can't take it in for warranty as the phone is (obviously) rooted. I've already tried the battery calibration app on Play Store and I'm going to try Poprocks rom and if that fails, I'm going to go back to stock LP and then try my luck at the Samsung Warranty Center. Any other suggestions would be great! Thanks!
I'm completely stock, never rooted. It's been dieing between 5-10% left. I think it's just lollipop.

Just an update guys, I reverted back to stock (A0A1) 4.4.4 and then installed FireKat V13X Canadian Edition and my battery is no longer acting up. Definitely a Lollipop issue.
same thing for me. for older phones i remember having a recovery that let me reset the battery stats. i also noticed that when i charge it after it goes from above 10% to 0% and turning off, when i charge it, it would give me the percentage before it turned off. i almost thought it was a battery issue but i see from others its not. i dont leave the phone charging for long times and dont use the phone while charging.
I've been having battery problems lately too, the OEM one gets warm and does the sudden drop thing(went from 20 to 11% in an instant the other night), and even my Anker seems to drain much faster these days on both KK & LP. Neither Wakelock detector nor Gsam can find anything wrong, so I think maybe they're both just aging and need replacing :/
My stock Tmobile Note 4 was turning off at about 60%, then when I plugged in the OEM fast charger, the phone battery display came up at 0%. I called Tmobile and they sent me a new battery, problem gone now. I don't know how old your battery is, but it can also be an indication of a battery on its way out.
I'm on 5.0.1.
I never had it shut down at such a high indicated percentage, but on LP it would consistently shut off at 2-4%.
I went back to KK and it doesn't do that anymore.
I have the same problem. Anywhere from 10-30% the battery can die in an instant. Happened a couple of times while looking at the screen - the battery drops to zero in about 3 seconds. Wont boot up again until the charger is plugged in.
In my case I don't think its the software. Was working great for months - this is something that is steadily getting worse. I only noticed because I wasn't getting the battery level warnings at 15 and 5%, which I did used to get with the lollipop OS. Have ordered a new battery, hopefully this will do the trick.
Got new batteries
Update: I bought new batteries and so far so good. I think it was just an issue with the Samsung batteries. Went with Anker this time and everything seems to be good.
Just get a new battery. I had this same problem with the n6 until I got. Refurb

no has nothing to do with the kernel, either its a calibration issue with your battery or you got a dud
Yes, I had the same. Bought new battery. Not yet sure if sudden drop is fixed since it now lives way longer and lasts through entire day and still has 40-50% left.
Drop will probably be fixed, too.

Definitely a battery. With new one I drove with google navigation for 3 hours, put total over 4 hours of screen time and still couldn't get it to 0. Went to bed when it still was 10% or so.
Pretty amazing after old battery which would barely last through the day and died after 15%

Did battery replacement solve the problem for you guys? I'm having this issue for a few days now, and it can't be lollipop, I've upgraded months ago. Also, which replacement battery would be the best?
OK, this is some really weird behaviour. At 14% the "plug in your phone" warning sounds and it goes to power save mode. I rush to plug it in before it shut down. I plug it in on time, the "fast charge" message triggers. But, instead of charging, the battery goes down to 13%. 9%. I turn off the screen not to drain the power more and I wait for a few seconds. Turn on again, it's 4%. Turn off and wait some more. I turn on, and it's 1%. So I turn off again and wait, expecting it to shut down when it reaches 0%. It doesn't. I turn the screen back on again, and it's 3%. 5%. 12%. Charging normally. I don't get it why it went down to 1% before it started charging? And why the sudden power collapse only after the "battery low" message went off? It worked fine before that. If this is a battery issue, which is a hardware issue, why was it triggered by the software "battery low" message?
