Great news! Patiently waiting for UK Q'Com version recovery and custom roms for our great device.

Got shot of mine also, but now they have TWRP and development has started...typical eh!

Has anyone tested this on the European qualcom versions? Hopefully they are not too different

Thus far Team Win has only released Tmobile & Sprint, so no, not yet.

Users reporting its working on all canadian carriers. I will wait a bit to root my bell note 4

Hello twrp is new for me. For my older Galaxy's i allways used the cwm recovery. Which version i have to use for the N910F from Gernany? I will flash the Echoe Rom. Which file i have to flash? There are three files. For the cwm i allways flash the .zip file. Is it the same for twrp?

I think both cwm and twrp are in .tar format so flash via odin.

Unusual Note

A friend of mine sent me this image, he has had his Note for some time now and only just recently got an update to 4.0.4 .He bought the note without a carrier so there is nothing extra in it.
However, he's never been able to root the thing.
I have used this site before, ages ago with my pocket PC's and more recently for my HTC Sensation.
I replaced my kernal for a 1.5Ghz overclocked version with mikes ics rom and rooted, and the phone has just been awesome. However a few months back when I did some digging for his note I was unable to find anything on it, and now that its updated I thought i'd give it another shot. However im not sure if the information I need is in the image he sent.

oh, blah, How could i of missed that. Ok thankyou
Question, I assume I want the
N7000ZSLPM---4.0.4/12.07.18-N7000OZSLPM
Is this correct? I note there is nothing that matches the Baseband number.
Also, Honk kong or Taiwan? It was purchased in Australia.
I found my HTC less confusing, even though they are more work

Hello everyone, I'm new in the world HTC, with the incredible s. I want to download all versions, from Froyo to ICS, Italy or the European version. Which of these should I download? I'm not understanding anything with all those acronyms
I think you can just safely ignore the carrier-specific images (Bell, Sasktel, Verizon), and the country-specific images too (looks like none of the images are Europe-specific). Pick from the "WWE" images? Just make sure you have a nandroid backup before you flash any of these ROMs in case anything bad happens.
These aren't ROMs. These will require a locked boot loader to run and revert back to the official stock released by HTC. nandroid won't do anything.

Sorry I can't help you because first generation have MediaTek processor.
Our 2nd Gen devices Qualcomm Snapdragon.
Port method and all files lib etc. Different
Good work glad to see gm4g getting the attention it deserves... Will be these updated constantly ?
Android 5.0.2....
Why do people put their time and energy into an absolutely outdated OS?
There are people who simply cannot detach themselves from the enjoyment of the past. And face the challenges of the present and future. Or as some people say, to each his own. LOL.
It is available with i-mobile IQ II (Thailand) ?
Can i use it for my Xperia Z5 Premium ?
Good

Do any good ROM's exist for Sprint version of Note 8 N950U?

It seems like everything is for the Exynos version of this phone. Just got my Note 8 today for a steal practically new for only $100, but the software bloat seems horrible. Just curious if there is any Lineage or Samsung based ROM's that would be a good starting place? All the late reviews in 2019 and here in 2020 says to install an aftermarket ROM on it and you got yourself a great device. Phone details below.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 N950USQS7DTA5 on Sprint in New Mexico USA.

The Sprint store did the factory reset for us, but given that I know my way around these devices I thought I would do my own Factory reset and start from scratch. My last Galaxy phone was the original, so I am sure things have changed since then and wanted to double check with XDA before making any mistakes. Phone currently sits 100% stock.
Any advice on a debloated ROM at the least? Or something else would be great too. Google just sends me here and all I seem to see is N950F devices, but I plan to keep on researching before I flash anything on this device, lol. EDIT: Just saw the US carriers Pie thread too for this device, and that seems to offer a pre-debloated rom.
EDIT: My guess is that there isn't much you can do with this device in the way of custom roms?

Your guess would be correct. The phone is bootloader locked that means no roms like N950F version..

Thank you for the information. Yeah I figured that was the case. Oh well, at least there is a debloated Pie rom. Maybe I can do a somewhat decent job of customizing it. But yeah I was hoping for 3rd party kernels and or LineageOS love. At least it's a better phone than the Motorola G6 that it is replacing, lol. Thanks again...

Need some advice.

Hi I have just been gifted a note 8 which is the snapdragon model from the U.S but I'm in the UK. My device is a greatqleue, is there any root method or custom roms for this model. I don't even know if it's a Verizon, sprint or other u.s carrier and far as i can tell it's running the XAA csc and the n950U1UEU7DTC3. Hope some one can help clear some things up.

You have a locked bootloader on the SM-N950U1. No custom roms, kernels, and No TWRP recovery.
You only have root for Android Nougat! No root for Oreo or PIE!
Do a xda search for "safestrap" for putting Oreo or nougat back on using Bootloader version 7 and "Extreme Syndicate" for Nougat ROOT (it doesn't UNLOCKED bootloader)!
They're in the "Note 8 Rom section".

Wow. How come there isn't any root method for newer os and how come bootloader cant be unlocked? For this specific device
There are to many things to consider to answer the "how come" question..lol. There hasn't been an unlocked bootloader on a US Snapdragon device for many many years.

Ah, I understand! Shame really, I know of some "soft" mods that work without root like theming etc but it's a shame. And when I got the dtc3 update I noticed it's still on the March security patch instead of april?
