You don't need to be relocked to flash an RUU with s-off. it would be better to unlock before flashing the RUU.
That RUU should work for your device but you may need to change your CID.
Please can you post out put of fastboot getvar all.
Boot the phone to the bootloader and connect fastbootusb. In the command line type
Code:
fastboot getvar all
Please post the output, edit out your serial and imei numbers first. :good:

Assuming your using Windows does the device show in device manger when connected to the PC, if the drivers have failed it will probably show in Unknown devices.
You just need to push a Rom through recovery but you need the pc to detect the phone. See Q(2 in this FAQ post to fix drivers for Windows 7.

If you have a Rom on your pc. Rename it to rom.zip and put it in your adb / fastboot folder. Boot to recovery home screen. Connect usb then in command line type.
Code:
adb push rom.zip /sdcard
The command window will appear unresponsive until the push completes (several minutes)
Then install the Rom with recovery.

Im pretty sure you cannot boot into a custom recovery with S-ON
To remove the TAMPERED and LOCK the bootloader, you will have to S-OFF using rumrunner for hboot 1.5x or revone for hboot 1.44
The current Rumrunner can work with a custom rom e.g. the latest version of ARHD or Insertcoin ROM that has an unsecure kernel. To do this though you will have to unlock the bootloader using htcdev and install the custom rom and then S-OFF

Yeah you cant boot .img files any more with s-on or s-off htc removed it in the now HBOOT and fastboot.
Dont panic mate its really easy to fix
Simply download ARHD from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2183023 make sure you have all the latest drivers and everything installed and rename the file to rom.zip you will need TWRP for this i believe and simply boot to recovery (TWRP) and push thw file to your sdcard using adb push rom.zip /sdcard (takes a while) simply flash arhd rom.
Once your phone boots you can use rumrunner.us to s-off the phone. Follow the instructions on their site. Once thats done boot to fastboot and use the command fastboot oem writecid 11111111 you will now have supercid and you can now flash any ruu you like. (unless you need to downgrade hboot.) If thats the case pm me and i can guide you through it on here.

Tbh I know in theory xposed should be dangerous but it's really not. I would defo s-off though you need to install the latest firmware which you will be missing and addresses a LOT of issues. S-off the device and I will show you how to upgrade the firmware

I used to use ARHD but I switched to maximus HD because of the OTA and the 360 camera mod.
So to upgrade firmware you want to boot into fastboot and type "fastboot getvar mid" write it down then go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2485651 and download the correct version against your mid.
Put it in your adb/fastboot folders and making sure your still in fastboot type "fastboot oem rebootRUU"
Once you phone boots into update mode you will see a HTC logo on your screen and nothing else.
Rename the firmware you just downloaded to firmware.zip and type "fastboot flash zip firmware.zip"
It will say say failed pre hboot update flush image again. Simply type the exact same cmd again "fastboot flash zip firmware.zip" and it will flash the latest firmware.
The progress bar on your phone probably won't go all the way up but as long as cmd says finished its done so just type "fastboot reboot-bootloader" and if you look your main-os will have changed.
That's it.
Your on the latest firmware meaning all the Roms should run smoothly and you should have no more issues with exposed.

Everything done, thanks for your help!

Yeah afraid so. Tbf I don't know of that is the case for every phone but the m7_ul UK edition couldn't get it to work on any device I tried after contacting a friend who I have inside HTC's repair centre he claimed the feature does not work with the latest hboot.
I might see if I can get some other devices from work to test this further and if it is true for all variants then maybe enroll on a workaround

Both cid # and mid # MUST match the main-ver you want to flash. CID and MID require s-off to be modified.
i.e if you have a x.xx.161.x main-ver, you need corresponding MID PN0710000 and one of compatible CID like VODAP001 or VODAP102, etc... (Vodafone)
i.e if you have a x.xx.401.x main-ver, you need corresponding MID PN0710000 and one of compatible CID like HTC__001 or HTC__101, HTC__203 etc... (stock international)
If you have a CID that doesn't match your main-ver, your phone will not find any OTA update
If you have proper CID but wrong MID, your phone will find and download OTA, but will fail the update process.
f you want to convert using a RUU, both CID and MID must match otherwise the ruu will not flash.
copy/paste the output of this command
Code:
fastboot getvar all
minus emei and sn and it will be much easier to tell you what options you have.

So go to this thread and install adb/fastboot.
turn on usb debugging mode on your phone ''settings ---> developer option ---> check the usb debug box'' if developer option menu is messing from you settings menu do this: settings ---> about phone ---> tap the build number rapidly until you are prompted you unlocked developers option.
connect phone to pc via usb while phone is normally booted in Android (better to use port behind the pc instead of usb port in front. also i will recommend you not to use a windows 8.1 computer.

You'll probably encounter problem later in the process with win 8.1. Win 8.1 require hboot 1.55 for fastboot to work. During the process you will need to downgrade hboot to 1.44 to flash the international RUU. And your phone will not be recognized by computer when using fastboot and you will be stuck there. So better to find a windows 7 computer or maybe you could dual boot win 7 on the same comp.
now you should be able to continue with next step even with win 8.1
so start Minimal ADB and Fastboot, a command prompt should open. with phone connected to pc and usb debugging enabled, check that drivers are working properly with this command:
Code:
adb devices
should output this:
Code:
List of devices attached
HT(yourserial#) device

When you will flash the international RUU.exe, your device will go back to 100% stock (stock recovery, stock OS, stock hboot) means no root anymore like if your device was brand new.

no the ruu.exe will remove root. You can always re-root if you need root after all that procedure and after downloaded the latest OTA

is your phone booted in bootloader mode with htc drivers installed?
btw s-off will be a long journey if you don't know how to use adb and fastboot. Better to learn the bascis first before attempting to s-off. Otherwise, you'll probably end with a bricked phone. S-off is for advanced users and should only be attempted if you know what you are doing.
What is your goal, why do you need s-off?
Here it go:
HBOOT 1.57
baseband 4T.29.3018.08
Something more?
I want to set ViperOne ROM

s-off can't be achieved with revone on hboot 1.57 like said in revone thread, only for 1.44. with hboot 1.57 you must use firewater or sunshine s-off. You don't need s-off to flash a rom like Viper.
unlock the bootloader, flash a custom recovery and then flash the rom (viper)
The ViperOne Thread does say "S-Off Recomended", however, not required. With your current firmware you are able to flash ViperOne 7.0.1... If you had a previous firmware and unable to s-off to update, running ViperOne 6.2 is an option as well.

HTC One M7 stuck at bootloop, won't recognize sim and...

Hi there,
Recently a friend of mine gave me her htc one m7 to fix it, since I have the same cellphone. This One has stuck in a bootloop... It does pass the logo screen and goes into the lock screen, but when I try to unlock the phone it shows the htc logo, till I press the power button and everything turns black. Upon pressing the power button again the phone shows the lockscreen, then again trying to unlock the phone results in the htc logo screen. Regardless of anything I do the phone reboots itself after some time... and the nightmare continues till I turn it off.
The phone has become totally useless. She told me she was in the middle of a phone call, then the call was suddenly stopped and her phone was no longer recognizing the sim. After that she had apparently tried rebooting the phone... and the phone stuck in the bootloop. The IMEI was also lost, although IMEI is shown in HBOOT.
I tried to flash the stock ROM, using TWRP sideload. I found this ROM for the phone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/development/rom-4-4-3-sense-6-6-09-401-5-100-stock-t2854300 . The version is 6.09.401.5, which is android 4.4.3 and Sense 6. The phone was android 4.4.2 before that, so the main version was 5.11.401.10.
The weird part, is that when I wipe everything with TWRP, and flash the 6.09.401.5, nothing changes... The HBOOT still mentions the main version as 5.11.401.10 and the problem persists. Honestly Im desperately in need for help. :crying:
Let me ask in questions,
1- What the hell has happened?! why phone has suddenly stopped recognizing sim and lost its IMEI, and stuck in bootloop?
2- Why can't I get out of lock screen?!
3- Why when I flash the 4.4.3 ROM, (after I wipe everything), HBOOT mentions the main version as 4.4.2? why nothing changes and there is no "first time loading" settings?
4- Please check the link I mentioned earlier, and tell me if it is a ROM that contains everything for a fresh install.
General info:
baseband: 4T.27.3218.14
version main: 5.11.401.10
platform: HBOOT_8064
modelid: PN0710000
cid: HTC__J15
security: on
recovery: TWRP
HBOOT: 1.57
Please help me in any way you can ASAP... I appreciate all of your advices. Thank you very much.

Unknown imei and baseband is normally a hardware problem. (Fault with antenna pin connector)

because of missing imei and baseband.

You can't change version main by flashing a Rom. You need to update the firmware for that, did you wipe data before installing the rom?

This is just the stock Rom. You can try to update firmware but not sure it will help.
Download this http://xda7.androidrevolution.org/db_mirror/Firmware/HTC/HTC_One/401/6.09.401.10.zip
Put the zip in your fastboot folder and rename it firmware.zip
Reboot the phone to the bootloader and Connect fastbootusb. Now open your Fastboot command line and type
Code:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot oem lock
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
<--- case sensitive.
The phone will reboot to a black screen with a Silver HTC LOGO. This is RUU mode. Now we're going to flash the firmware.
Code:
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
The first flash will be short. It's just a preupdate preparing the hboot for the new firmware. So we need to do the same command again.
Code:
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
The second flash will take a little longer and this time it will flash the full firmware. The progress bar on the phone screen will not reach 100% this is normal as long as the command window has completed its output the flash is done.
Code:
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Reboot the phone and [emoji120] if this doesn't work it's probably a hardware problem.

I guess you're right, but is it the reason behind not being able to come out of lock screen?

Yes it's a normal symptom of the issue. For some reason the missing imei and baseband breaks a lot of things with sense. You can flash cm11 and get access to the device it won't fix the the problem but because the Rom is not sense based it seems to work better I'm not sure exactly why. But the imei and baseband will still be missing and you'll have no cell reception.

I guess you're right... could you please send me a link for this custom rom that actually works?
By the way I consulted a repair man before. I thought he was way out of the scene, since he told me the boot is broken... which doesn't even make sense in my opinion.

See in this thread it's important that you use one of the following recoveries to flash the Rom. So be sure to flash the recovery first then install the Rom.
Recovery to use
TWRP 2.7.1.2 or CWM Touch 6.0.4.8
It does sound like your repair man was way out. If you do take it for a hardware repair I wouldn't take it back to him

Thanks so much for the useful advices. The CM11 indeed works, but as you said the lost IMEI problem remains... apart from CM11 bugs, like camera error and such.
