Hello. Check out my live lockscren insipred by typophone style.
I hope you'll like it. I also added playback controls to this lockscreen. I'd like to thank all amazing developers for discovering APIs

Thank you, I'm not sure is it safe to put this app to store as these APIs are still in development at Microsoft, but I can upload source code

You can give a xap file on XDA

Sure I can, sorry I am new to this forum
Btw which one? ARM, x86 or AnyCPU
I'm running it on emulator so I'm using x86

If you want do app for all devices, you have to select "any CPU" option.

Yeah I know but emulator is running only at x86 platform as I can't test this on phone, Lumia 1020 actually.
I'll upload ARM and x86 versions in a few minutes.

Give a file, we check him (I have Lumia 1520)

Here are files:
x86 version is for emulators.
There's probably a lot of bugs.
Special thanks to user -W_O_L_F- for providing his LockScreen App and source code

THX and one moment pls, I will check that

I don't understand you, could you explain me what you mean?
Sorry for my bad English btw.

My app uses:
ID_CAP_SHELL_DEVICE_LOCK_UI_API
so I think that is reason why you can't install it on device., emulator is working fine.

Will there actually be some good news?
I would at least like to run those 3rd party apps on my device (Lumia 920).
Is there a way for that CAP to be enabled via registry hack or something?
How to enable that CAP in Visual Studio?
Since this is very interesting topic, I would like to hear how's the progress.

Those caps are enabled via registry hack, yes (go read up on interop-unlock and capability-unlock/EnableAllSideloading). However, we don't currently have a way to do those registry changes on stock Lumia 920 phones (or most other Lumias) unless you're willing to disassemble your phone and use some moderately expensive equipment to access the Flash storage directly.

I can only be sad right now. Do you maybe know if Microsoft is going to put that CAP in the near future in the SDK? Shouldn't it be there with Update 1 SDK?

I tried it on Lumia 1020, doesn't work unfortunately :/
I believe they will release it very soon. I'm just wondering how other live lockscree apps work on phones if CAP is still locked. For example last Microsoft's Garage app Tetra Lockscreen is working perfectly, same is with original Rudy's app.

If I had to guess, I would say that those apps get privileges with updates that we recieved as "Critical updates" or some other updates.

I made another lockscreen with some some android style:

Installing maps.apk

Hi,
i followed the steps of uninstalling maps in order to get navigation working outside the US.
But how i install the new changed Nav working .apk without ADB?
i want to do it from terminal emulator, possible?
the original command for ADB is: adb install -r maps3.3.1-brut-root-3.apk
I would post this in the thread that canadiancow started regarding the Google Navigation hack that allows it to work outside the US. The members in that section are very helpful and it will probably get more attention in that thread.
Cheers,
DM

Accessing field test application with dev access

Is it possible to access the field test application in lumia 520 in the new amber update? I found from the internet that it should be possible with dev unlocked phones which I now have but I have no idea how to proceed from here.

Just look at my Diagnostic Apps thread in my signature. Its ##3282&call or just ##3282#.
It might be disabled depending on your device and provider. I'm still missing reports on many devices on it.

I've tried vers 3.2, 3.33, 3.47 and 3.54 of SMD but the first 2 don't recognise the phone in download mode and the latter 2 just hang now.
It was working fine earlier, though I may have updated it to the latest FW - would that be the issue and is there any way to downgrade?

Mine too. Just goes into a loop when booting. Vibrates, get the purple swirly screen for a second or so then restarts. Sony companion repair didn't seem to recognise it either, hopefully just needs to be charged up more or reinstall sony companion or something trivial.

@ronniem88 I put in the firmware applications that can receive the root, I do not use the 93 to root always used to 106.
1. install 106
2. I make the root
3. install the recovery
4. enter the cwm, and install the firmware 62. pre rooteada
5 and then hang up the phone and install the 62 FlashTool via the clearing system.
6. end. Super simple. :good:

I would be nice that, if this ROM is compatible for the D5803 and the D5833, the title indicates just that. I don't mind looking for information, but someone can be upset for this and even don't try this good contribution to the forum.

Android Pie OTA

Motorola is being unbearably slow about their Pie rollout, so here we go.
Do NOT try to downgrade back to Oreo if you've already taken the update.
If you haven't updated yet, please be sure that you will not want to return back to Oreo once you've used the guide below.
Thanks @smyaknti for the tip.
Prerequisites:
1. 100% Stock ROM with no system modifications of any kind.
2. This file is only for the Indian variant of the Motorola One Power.
3. You should already have the September security patch update installed on your device.
Please don't install this over the August security patch update.
https://mega.nz/#!k403FKCQ!9myFzAcCEhMk_EJ2Rl8miRO4dCqZoga-MOvli1SD3_8
1. Download from link and move it to root of your internal storage(not in any folder like Downloads etc). Put it outside all folders.
2. Go to Settings>Apps&notifications>Show all apps>3dot menu(top right of the screen)>show system apps
3. Find Motorola Update Services and give it storage permission.
4. Go to Updates screen and check for update. It will show up. Install as any normal OTA. Enjoy Pie!
I've installed Pie on my own device using the same file and the same method. So it's tested by me.
For users who are currently using Magisk to root their devices, this method is not for you. You'll have to return back to full stock using fastboot images.

Stupid admins on that forum. Merging threads that have no relation to each other just to hide bugs in Moto's software.
People on OnePlus' forum share ota links freely and no one complains.
They banned me for distrubiting pirated software  If it wasn't the official OTA file, it wouldn't have installed from within the system and with a locked bootloader. It's gonna look pretty stupid when that same firmware is distributed few days later

I previously had a Moto X and you might not believe, I had to get the motherboard replaced 4 times under warranty. So I think keeping the warranty intact is the way to go because even Motorola's hardware can't be trusted.
