Is Motorola Connect working for anybody? I can't seem to get my phone and my computer to link up. I've tried disabling and reenabling the extension, uninstalling updates and reinstalling updates, but nothing has been working...
Dude, the first time I used it, right after the setup it worked fine, but in the next 2 days I couldn't make it work, so I kinda gave up and somewhat it started working again lol. Hope you have the same lucky

Hi Guys,
Is anyone using Press Reader?
It installs fine, works for the 1st day and overnight stops working with the message "Cannot connect to server".
If I remove it and add it again it works again for the 1st day and the next day it cannot connect to the server again.
Anyone else got it working?
Working fine here. I bought a paper yesterday and still works today. Installed several days ago. Good luck.

Weird. At least I know its just me and not a widespread issue. I'll put some effort into fixing it then!

on a fresh install

I haven't been able to sign into Motorola Connect on my laptop pass couple of days, anyone else having connection issues?
Mine is down too. Seems to be stuck trying to sign back in.
Remove then re-add. This happens to me frequently (including today).
having the same issue here. removing and re-installing has yet to help.
i am stuck on the signing in page and it won't go any further. given that this seems to be effecting many i hope for a fix soon.
Removed extension, re-installed, even deleted chrome profile and made a new one, still won't connect.
Yeah ignore my previous post. I uninstalled and reinstalled twice and it started working again both times for a short period... but then it stopped working again, and I haven't gotten it to work since.
I have been trying it for hours now, no luck. Hopefully it's just down for maintenance, I have gotten very used to it.
i hope that this does not have something to do with moto being sold.
Does motorola lost device service work for you? For me it says to enable motorola In device managers.
Yeah it's not active after three days for me, I just reset the Motorola Connect client on phone and computer.

Can anyone try https://motorola-global-en-roe.custhelp.com/app/home and go to Moto X's Lost Device or Tips to see if those are working?

Perhaps they are updating the service for the new Moto X

Mines stopped working too on 2 of my machines.
Lost device is working fine though.
Can confirm it's not working here either. Guess we'll just have to wait
Keep working on and off. Something appears to be wrong with Motorola services.
Wonder if Motorola even knows, kind strange for a service like this to be down for a week and no word...
Seems to be working now after updating Chrome

Hi everyone, 4-5 days ago i installed SlimKat 4.4.4 which worked perfectly up to yesterday, i use the usb tethering really often but yesterday it didnt want to show up on my pc.
Long story short, i thought the problem was caused by the new OS(SlimKat) or something i had messed up with it so i decided to reinstall everything but kept having the same issue, W7(x64) keeps showing it as "unrecognized device" which is very odd considering it worked fine for 3 days.
I did few tests using Ubuntu instead of W7(on the same computer) and it works perfectly, so the issue should be on pc and not on phone, i'd be glad if anyone could tell me what's going on.
I'll leave few pics here of the issue(ye in italian, sorry);
Thanks in advance - BB93
Never mind, i found out the problem.
Basically i had to unroot and reroot(directly from its own button in developer menu) my phone and it started working.
I hope it will be helpful for whoever has this kind of problem.
Anyone else having trouble connecting to Motorola Connect? It hasn't worked in a few days for me. My Chrome is up to date. I've tried installing and uninstalling. I've got a rooted Verizon Moto Maker edition on 4.4.
After 444 tonight I had huge issue tried everything... Then I turned off Wi-Fi and let it sync using Mobile data and that worked. Turned Wi-Fi back in and it still works.... Funny don't know why that worked but try and see if that helps

I've been having problems with MotoConnect for the last couple of weeks. It will open fine and then the plugin will crash or I get several messages about not being able to communicate with the Motorola servers. As the above poster mentioned, sometimes if all else fails turn off the WIFI and see if it will connect with mobile data, assuming, of course, you can get a cellular signal where your at.
I've had my two TP's rooted for years, mainly JC Sullins' builds. My wife's TP stopped connecting to our wireless, and she gave up on it a few years ago. I dusted it off, did a clean install with the TP Toolbox and loaded JC's Cyanogen 12.1-20160109. I also took the opportunity to delete the WEBOS since we never used it anyway. Well, the upgrade to a new operating system didn't fix my wireless problem. It still shows that it's trying to turn the wifi on. It never happens.
I've been searching for days, and still can't find a solution to this dilemma. I'm a firm believer of searching for an answer first, and hate to admit that I can't figure it out.
What do I need to do here?
I also loaded my TP with the same build, and it works like a champ. Mine never had a wifi connection problem.
I'm all ears.

Give this a try, it's a shot in the dark but I had this happen back in CM7 or 9 days.
Power off bothfo the TP's. We'll use your's for the 'known good' device.
Change the channel on your router to a higher number, like maybe 12...
Power cycle the router. (sorry if this screws up any other devices that are attached.)
Power up TP#1 & see if it connects and verify that you can get out on the net.
Then try #2.
if a no-go go then grab this terminal emulator so we can grab some info using the good ol' command line.
I wondering if the Wifi interface is dead but holding out hope that it isn't.
_Dan
Thank you for the reply.
I really can't get to my router right now to try that.
When I turn on her wireless setting, it just says "Turning wifi on...." and never does. I never get to see a list of available networks.
So what is this wifi interface that you speak of? I'll start looking into that.
Better still install this for retrieving syslogs. Someone in another thread recommended it and it is a lot easier to use.
_Dan
I finally got the SysLog installed. Opened it up, and there is a statement that there is - "No root access. Without root access, it's not possible to get system or modem logs, and with some 3.x kernels it also may not be able to get kernel logs."
