One rooted when you try and run a program that requires root access a notification should open asking if you why to allow root access.
Click on the super user app. What happens?
nope nothing pop up to ask if i allow the access...
I have tried a two types of one click root program which is Superoneclick and another one by TGA_Gunnman..
But both act in the same way that nothing will pop up and ask whether to allow access...
What happens when you click on the super user app?
Have you tried rebooting the phone?
Have you tried replacing apk with market, search superuser in market, see if it shows installed, try to update or replace
You are on stock, correct
yeap i have tried to reboot after the rooting process...
I can open the superuser app too.
Yes im on stock.
Im thinking should i use z4root now?
Might as well. Did you check for the app in the market?
What are you looking to accomplish with root? What is your goal?
yup i checked the market too... it shows i ald installed the superuser..
Just want to root and use the rom manager to back up...
And i dunno y suddenly the root works! now im okay! Thanks for the help!
I guess we need to install again from market and reboot in order to use this...
No problem, who knows what the issue was. Enjoy, I am sure you will be flashing roms in no time

@Phoenix854, I think it is some sort of media player.
@ OP, Try to remove it from the app tray, open the app menu from homescreen, slide out the menu from the left, click on uninstall, now tap on the app to remove it. See if this method works.

Then you could try using an app uninstaller off the play store. But if that doesn't work you can root (use towel root then install supersu) then using a file explorer with root privileges you can remove the apk from /data/app.
Or you could repair the software via PCC-as what your experiencing shouldn't be happening.

I would recommend repairing the software via PCC, to do that download Sony PC Companion from here and install it. Next connect your device via the micro usb cable to your computer then once the device is detected click on the 'your phone/tablet is up to date' (it is in blue font). Here you'll see a repair option click on it and proceed following the on screen instructions.
Note: you will loose all installed apps/data, because it completely cleans your device.
Rooting simply allows you to take full control of your device, you can root locked bootloader devices. To root, download and install towel root and supersu. Open towel root and root the device, then extract the supersu zip and install the supersu apk (it is in one of the folders). Open supersu, update the binary, reboot and your good to go.
Read this for things you can do after rooting.
Has anyone tried wondershare mobilego pc software to gain root access 4.4.4

I don't see how this would root anything. Just some mumbo-jumbo about stuff you can do on a non-rooted device without the same mumbo-jumbo.
Maybe you would look at the youtube video showing one click root button on pc programme.

I think He means this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbRRi7TOosg
EDIT: Ok, just tried it. NOT WORKS. It says that the root failed. Tried 3 times and I get the same thing.
Did you install usb drivers correctly maybe needs admin privileges on start up.
Root genius is another one on youtube
No z3 compact with me too test at min

Wuzza? Is that vid for real?!
If not, talk about false advertising.
"maybe needs admin privileges on start up." - nope, it does not.
Root does not work with this soft, maybe it was for an older firmware, but TBH, it looks like a nice video montage, but nothing really happened (maybe no phone was connected either).
No bother ill just sell phone need root and couldn't be bothered waiting for one bypassing bootloader thx for checking

This is my first post, and I joined specifically to share this. It took me many hours of searching and trial and error to get my phone rooted, so I'm taking the risk of being called a shill to make this post. I hope it helps someone.
I was able to use Wondershare MobileGo to root my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 on Lollipop version OC1 (NOT OF1).
At first the only root option that worked for me was installing the Kingroot APK. This did give me root, but only through Kingroot, not SuperSU. Naturally I wanted to use SuperSU, so this is what I did:
1. Installed MobileGo.
2. Clicked on “One-Click root”
3. MobileGo said it has gained root access however, SuperSU still would not work.
4. I then uninstalled KingRoot and ran MobileGo root.
5. Presto, it gave me root and SuperSU now works!
6. Uninstalled MobileGo
7. Still have root
There were a couple of phone reboots mixed in there, but that's the general idea. Clearly this doesn't work for everyone, but it was the ticket for me. YMMV.
Hi, maybe someone in here can help me. I just received a Gear vr and I can not get it to work. I am on a custom rom on the sprint network. Here is what happens:
I plug it in and it says to unplug it to install the software. It installs some software and I go to install let's say 'Oculus 360 photos' and at the end a message pops up saying 'unable to install oculus 360 photos'. I pull down the status bar and click on the failure and it says I have to update the software. I update it and it looks like I'd downloads something but never actually updates. That's where I am. Nothing installs, nothing works. Pretty frustrating...

I had the same problem. Went back to stock and it works great. Maybe today I'll root my phone and stay on stock to see if it's a kernel issue. If I do I'll update you.
You probably do not have the required Facebook apps on your ROM. You need at least com.facebook.system and com.facebook.appmanager.

I do have both of those on my phone. It's probably being rooted or the custom ROM.

Yes, please let me know. I think it has to do with the custom ROM or being rooted.

No problem with being rooted. Custom ROM 100% the case. You need a stock-based TW kernel and therefore stock TW rom with the VR update built-in

Thanks for the update. I think that's my problem. I don't think there is a rooted stock based kernel on Sprint.

It's not the kernel. Finally just installed the newest v9 kernel and rooted my phone. I suggest maybe starting with stock, install the vr software and run once then root. Soon I'll install the newest renegade full rom and see what that does.
It's not the rom either. I may be telling you to do more than you have to but maybe just go to stock, get vr apps then root and clean install full rom. Everything is great for me.
Hey, Did you guys solved it?? I have the same problem
I have a G928P, and I had rooted for unlocking it. Because of this problem, I unrooted the phone... Now I get the ****ing free hand activation message (at least it kept unlocked), but the problem is still there... Any idea???

I solved it. (More or less...)
Edit the file is downloading in the folder "Download" of your cell phone BEFORE it finish. For a reason that I DON´T understand, the software delete this file once it is completed, instead to install it. When you edit the name in the meantime is downloading, you impide it. Then, rename it back to .apk (if not it will keep as ".apk_downloading so you can´t install it), and install it manually.
It finally works.
Does anyone knows how could I impide the file gets deleted? I don´t mind if I have to install it manually, as long as I can. So far, when the app is not very big, I have to be VERY fast in the editing..., or I will not be able to do it.
Im curious, oculus vr worked flawlessly, unil i installed "package disabler pro" and removed "bloat".
I have read that facebook apps are required (rediculous... F*+-ing facebook bulls&*#@.)
Bit is anyone aware of what "bloat is required for functionality?

Hello,
I had the same kind of issue on my note 4: update & install of the essential apps were always failing (photos 360, videos, videos 360).
I managed to update by renaming the downloaded file before it got deleted, but I had to do the same operation for all apps then install them manually before I could access the Oculus store.
I wonder why installs fail like that. I rooted the phone with cf-auto-root to be able to use my PS3 controller wirelessly. Maybe it is becuse the kernel is slightly modified for root?
EDIT: Also it seems I will need to use the same method for all installation I do from the oculus store! I really want to fix this. I'll probably try unrooting...
Rooted, it will not work

If the phone is rooted, it will not work. No matter how you install the apps, it will never open oculus.
I had to unroot, and it worked again (installing apps manually, as I explained before). Once rooted again, I even tried to substitute the kernel for the original one. That allowed me to enter in Oculus, but the VR never worked. I had to unroot again.
Does anyone know how to impide it delete the apk file automatically? At least that would help.
Finally got into the process and sign into oculus app
Hi guys,
I finally succeeded in getting the download process working:
- log the samsung app output with logcat via adb
- click on install button of the Gear Vr configuration wizzard
- catch the called urls on logcat and copy/paste them on your browser to download the APKs
( for me : prePost_20160128024220687.apk
prePost_20160128024344077.apk
prePost_20160330073402086.apk
prePost_20160330073501789.apk
prePost_20160330073641987.apk
prePost_20160330073735750.apk)
- install them in the order the urls were called ( adb install -r prePost_20160128024344077.apk )
- on the device, stop the download using the cross
- click the install button again
The download should now be successful.

Hey do you known if your phone is a little cracked if the vr will still work good
I have xposed installed without a custom recovery by using Flashfire but Flashfire doesn't seem to be working without the paid version and I can't pay for it now because the app closes down for non paid users and the only way to pay for it is through getting onto the app. Can anyone help me out with this predicament? Is there any way for me to flash xposed uninstaller without flashfire or is there a way I can get flashfire pro that you know of? I can't make a custom recovery.
But you managed to use Flashfire to install Xposed?
So what changed between installing Xposed and now trying to uninstall it? Any new apps installed that might interfere with Flashfire?

Sorry, I should have added more detail I wrote this late at night.
I have an S7 and I'm using stock Marshamallow. Basically, you can use flashfire to flash the xposed installer zip and install exposed and when you want to uninstall it you just have to flash the uninstall zip and so on. I usually repeat this about once every 3 months to log in / out of Snapchat. However, Flashfire no longer works for non paying customers and the only way to become a paying customer is to get onto the Flashfire app and pay for pro. But, as soon as you open up the Flashfire app it checks for pro and closes down when it detects you aren't a pro member. So I'm stuck at the minute and have no way of uninstalling it without wiping my phone which I can't do yet. I was wondering if anyone knew a work around for this problem.
That's right... The freeloader time bomb went off a couple of weeks ago.
I believe some users have had success with setting their device time back to the end of March and then purchasing Pro.
Free loader lol. I didn't know the app even had a pro version I have only ever used it for a few seconds to flash a zip. They could have sent out a warning and earned a few extra £ ?. Do you have a link or guide to something that shows me how to roll back date and get onto flash fire to buy pro? I'm very amateurish on this I have no idea how I haven't bricked my phone yet. I'll have to put a back up on my pc. If I brick my phone how would I fix that by the way? Just factory reset from pressing the pin in and then get the back up from pc?
Anyone?
You can usually change the time and date in the Android settings.
For help and info on how to keep your device up and running, it's usually best to look for info in your device's forum. There's usually a guide section with stickied collections of info to use.
Thanks, I've worked out how to use date, anyone have a link or something on how to find the correct flash fire apk I need? I can't find anything on Google
You know that XDA has a pretty nifty search function as well, right?
