Has anyone tried wondershare mobilego pc software to gain root access 4.4.4
If so can anyone confirm if application roots without unlocking bootloader
****Please could anyone confirm also if mobilego root software breaks/disables miracast functionality? *******

I don't see how this would root anything. Just some mumbo-jumbo about stuff you can do on a non-rooted device without the same mumbo-jumbo.
Maybe you would look at the youtube video showing one click root button on pc programme.

I think He means this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbRRi7TOosg
EDIT: Ok, just tried it. NOT WORKS. It says that the root failed. Tried 3 times and I get the same thing.
Did you install usb drivers correctly maybe needs admin privileges on start up.
Root genius is another one on youtube

Wuzza? Is that vid for real?!
If not, talk about false advertising.
"maybe needs admin privileges on start up." - nope, it does not.
Root does not work with this soft, maybe it was for an older firmware, but TBH, it looks like a nice video montage, but nothing really happened (maybe no phone was connected either).
No bother ill just sell phone need root and couldn't be bothered waiting for one bypassing bootloader thx for checking

This is my first post, and I joined specifically to share this. It took me many hours of searching and trial and error to get my phone rooted, so I'm taking the risk of being called a shill to make this post. I hope it helps someone.
I was able to use Wondershare MobileGo to root my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 on Lollipop version OC1 (NOT OF1).
At first the only root option that worked for me was installing the Kingroot APK. This did give me root, but only through Kingroot, not SuperSU. Naturally I wanted to use SuperSU, so this is what I did:
1. Installed MobileGo.
2. Clicked on “One-Click root”
3. MobileGo said it has gained root access however, SuperSU still would not work.
4. I then uninstalled KingRoot and ran MobileGo root.
5. Presto, it gave me root and SuperSU now works!
6. Uninstalled MobileGo
7. Still have root
There were a couple of phone reboots mixed in there, but that's the general idea. Clearly this doesn't work for everyone, but it was the ticket for me. YMMV.

Hi. I just download and install recovery software call: Dr.Fone for android.
After prepared my phone to works with this software it was restart.
Software is relay good as I could recover my sms but! All apps related to banks stops working and give me msg: You phone is rooted.
Apps : check my root - says: - phone is not rooted... so, any idea what happen?
did you root it?
did you unlock the bootloader?
how can I check if bootloader is unlocking?
OK, I open Service menu and under Configuration it says: Rooting status: Bootloader unlock allowed: No
So is not rooted, but why banking apps stop working and says: apps not working on rooted devices - before I install dr.Fone banking apps works with no problem.

Then it is not unlocked because it says you cannot do it..
I think the app you istalled is the problem, uninstall it
Unless you have been through a process to root the phone will not maigically root itself.
Maybe you should repair the software with pccompanion just to be sure and not install dr.Fone app (Of which I have never heard of before..)

Im guessing you were taken for a ride with this app. Ill try to help you out a bit. That app (dr.whatever) left files on your phone that are probably the problem. Use your file explorer to navigate to your internal storage, find the folder named Android. Inside you will see two folders named data and obb. Inside you will find all the data for your applications (each located within thier own folder). Look through these for a folder with the name or developers name (sometimes this can be tricky because there are no spaces in the file name, as well its usually initials or abbreviations.) Locate the folder and delete it, then reboot. Since your not rooted, you cant wipe your caches and data as we do so just try this out.

why don't you just try and root again with either doomlords easy root or bin4rys root kit.

To be not rooted. Cos I cant use some apps, witch I use on regular basis.
If I take factory reset - it will be after unrooted?
I don't think that you are rooted at all, that Dr Fone app sounds fishy and bogus to me (as others have stated as well).
Best bet is imho to repair with PC Companion as greg has also mentioned. You could also try removing any superuser app that apparently is somewhere on you device, it might be that your banking app checks for this.
Edit:
That Dr Fone app is not even in my Play Store - I would probably opt for a factory reset, rather than repair. Sounds like malware to me. If you want to backup something from your device, stay with the regular, known and trusted apps!

Which apps can not be used on a rooted phone? I never came across anything I can't use on my rooted phone, as opposed to an unrooted one. Just the opposite is true. There are many apps and functions that do work on a rooted phone, which I would be missing a lot if I was not rooted.
Dr.Fone seems to have manipulated with your system. My suggestion is first using the Doomlord easy rooting kit. It works like a charm, and also allows unrooting later in case you do not need to be rooted. Then uninstall that Dr. Fone thing (and everything else you don't need).
Like some of the others I do have suspicions regarding Dr. Fone software. There are so many useful tools and apps from reputable sources you can use on a rooted phone, it is almost overwhelming. What made you grab such a dubious app?
Now it is already on the second page for a relatively simple issue which basically comes down to one point: Get rid of that Dr.Fone. Action required.
No offence intended.
Flash a stock ftf you definitely not be rooted anymore.
There are several apps that don't work on rooted phones, sky go being one of them.
It is generally done by apps that have copy right laws to enforce or subscription issues.

Yea, confusing.
Anybody has drivers for Z1 that are necessary to finish rooting via kingo root?
I installed drivers provided with flashtool (also for fastboot) but still kingo root app is persistently downloading drivers and then after finishing downloads it starts downloading once again.
Transfer rate is uber lame - 3kb and I've been trying all day

Yeah, I remember that first time it didn't install anything, just loop dl/install, but after reboot and re-installation it asked for permission to install unsigned driver (twice) and then it worked just fine! Now, it's rooting every time without downloading anything..

It seems like Kingo root program creates a one time download file with a expire. And ofcourse above link is created on the fly. Everytime you start it changes the parameters. SO best way is Wireshark, start kingo and try downloading till it works.
---------- Post added at 01:17 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:53 PM ----------
Can you find the download somewhere on your computer (c:/program files/kingo root/) I think it's in files or setup. Then it's usable
Thanks for that - didn't occur to me to check trace... Well I tried using that link with no success - download is interrupted after a while and cannot be resumed because link expired. But afaik the Google USB driver is part of ADK. So I installed that but the current revision is 9 so kingo still looks for 7
EDIT: Tried in the early morning hours and without changing anything the rooting succeeded.

Hello,
I just got a Note 3 from ATT. I tried rooting the phone using the Kingo program, but each time the root fails with the message: "FAILED.. NOT SUPPORTED"
Has anyone experienced this? What can i do?
I am reading about the Root de la Vega, but I am afraid I am on MJ5 firmware, so I am not sure whether it is advisable to use it.
Are there other reversible rooting methods (ie, without tripping KNOX)?
cheers, MN

I was on mj5 and it worked fine. At the end of root it'll tell you failed if you don't grant it super user for a test but I didn't see any reason to allow it. Checked and I was rooted.

I guess this options was somehow preventing the super-user access. Anyhow, it worked, and I went ahead and rooted by wife's also.

I know it's been said 1000x and I've def been there before. But again, if you've never rooted a device, do yourself a favor and take some time to at least know what you are getting into. It's not for everyone. But just knowing the basic pros/cons, would of helped avoid or solved all of these issues, even prior to rooting. There is a ton of info that's super easy to find on xda that'll save yourself from a headache and hours wasted.

Hi, maybe someone in here can help me. I just received a Gear vr and I can not get it to work. I am on a custom rom on the sprint network. Here is what happens:
I plug it in and it says to unplug it to install the software. It installs some software and I go to install let's say 'Oculus 360 photos' and at the end a message pops up saying 'unable to install oculus 360 photos'. I pull down the status bar and click on the failure and it says I have to update the software. I update it and it looks like I'd downloads something but never actually updates. That's where I am. Nothing installs, nothing works. Pretty frustrating...

I had the same problem. Went back to stock and it works great. Maybe today I'll root my phone and stay on stock to see if it's a kernel issue. If I do I'll update you.
You probably do not have the required Facebook apps on your ROM. You need at least com.facebook.system and com.facebook.appmanager.

No problem with being rooted. Custom ROM 100% the case. You need a stock-based TW kernel and therefore stock TW rom with the VR update built-in

It's not the kernel. Finally just installed the newest v9 kernel and rooted my phone. I suggest maybe starting with stock, install the vr software and run once then root. Soon I'll install the newest renegade full rom and see what that does.
It's not the rom either. I may be telling you to do more than you have to but maybe just go to stock, get vr apps then root and clean install full rom. Everything is great for me.

I solved it. (More or less...)
Edit the file is downloading in the folder "Download" of your cell phone BEFORE it finish. For a reason that I DON´T understand, the software delete this file once it is completed, instead to install it. When you edit the name in the meantime is downloading, you impide it. Then, rename it back to .apk (if not it will keep as ".apk_downloading so you can´t install it), and install it manually.
It finally works.
Does anyone knows how could I impide the file gets deleted? I don´t mind if I have to install it manually, as long as I can. So far, when the app is not very big, I have to be VERY fast in the editing..., or I will not be able to do it.
Im curious, oculus vr worked flawlessly, unil i installed "package disabler pro" and removed "bloat".
I have read that facebook apps are required (rediculous... F*+-ing facebook bulls&*#@.)
Bit is anyone aware of what "bloat is required for functionality?

Hello,
I had the same kind of issue on my note 4: update & install of the essential apps were always failing (photos 360, videos, videos 360).
I managed to update by renaming the downloaded file before it got deleted, but I had to do the same operation for all apps then install them manually before I could access the Oculus store.
I wonder why installs fail like that. I rooted the phone with cf-auto-root to be able to use my PS3 controller wirelessly. Maybe it is becuse the kernel is slightly modified for root?
EDIT: Also it seems I will need to use the same method for all installation I do from the oculus store! I really want to fix this. I'll probably try unrooting...
Rooted, it will not work

If the phone is rooted, it will not work. No matter how you install the apps, it will never open oculus.
I had to unroot, and it worked again (installing apps manually, as I explained before). Once rooted again, I even tried to substitute the kernel for the original one. That allowed me to enter in Oculus, but the VR never worked. I had to unroot again.
Does anyone know how to impide it delete the apk file automatically? At least that would help.
Finally got into the process and sign into oculus app
Hi guys,
I finally succeeded in getting the download process working:
- log the samsung app output with logcat via adb
- click on install button of the Gear Vr configuration wizzard
- catch the called urls on logcat and copy/paste them on your browser to download the APKs
( for me : prePost_20160128024220687.apk
prePost_20160128024344077.apk
prePost_20160330073402086.apk
prePost_20160330073501789.apk
prePost_20160330073641987.apk
prePost_20160330073735750.apk)
- install them in the order the urls were called ( adb install -r prePost_20160128024344077.apk )
- on the device, stop the download using the cross
- click the install button again
The download should now be successful.

Im curious, oculus vr worked flawlessly, unil i installed "package disabler pro" and removed "bloat".
I have read that facebook apps are required (rediculous... F*+-ing facebook bulls&*#@.)
Bit is anyone aware of what "bloat is required for functionality?

Package Disabler Pro locks out all the needed VR apps. I uninstalled it and the VR works great!

I do have both of those on my phone. It's probably being rooted or the custom ROM.
