What is the best ROM for the LG g2 VS98026a? Make sure that it uses the 26a base and not any other.

IMO after messing with a bunch of ROMs for this phone the best choice is stock rooted with Xposed G2Tweakbox and DPI app settings. I also use LMT for pie and no navigation bar. Boring I know but it I love it.

that looks pretty cool. I am using spirit ROM right now. It is based on Cynogenmod 11 so it has insane amounts of customization.
Running stock with Xposed also mainly because I like having the ability to use xdabbeb's XCam.
PA is pretty rock solid minus the standard small bugs that are on pretty much all AOSP roms.

Do you guys prefer CM7 or Miui? I have been on CM7 for a few weeks and just flashed Miui. They are both 2.3.3 android although CM7 is closer to stock AOSP. I can see some benefits with both roms, and am wondering what others think.
I would go with cyanogen mod7.

This is all preference. I find both awesome, miui takes more user bug fixes and work arounds. Both are beta. Advanced users, or users who have a good working knowledge of their phone should only flash either.
MIUI

I tried both. I agree with quoted above. I just came back to CM7 becoz I didn't like MIUI ui. Its so different then I ever saw. Lol

I think I like CM7 more. Miui is too much like an iphone. I think thats what they are trying to copy. For example, rather than have an app drawer, you have to store your apps in folders on the homescreen, just like on the iphone.

Yes I like an app draw, so I created a folder and placed all apps not on home screen in it then placed it on dock. I get the iphone comparison but there are many differences between miui and ios
MIUI
Guys u can install any drawer like adw and use miui like any regular android
What i miss in CM 7 are some modifications like lockscreen Gestures, custom app starters , arabic language
But the MIUI still has some awesome features like low battery mode, pimped out notification pull down menu, etc...
so am pretty lost
I agree

If you know enough, I would just use both really, setup cm7 the way you like it then nandroid it. Set up miui the way you like it then nandroid it. Restore when you want one or the other. Works for me. Best of both worlds
Ps do not try to nandroid restore on other roms to roms. This works like that with miui and cm7 for they share same base.

Can I flash MIUI over CM7?
didn't see a reply on this so i decided to jump in and answer this. From what I know, both are 2nd-init roms and you can flash miui over cm7. and just to note, you should NOT use bootstrapper in both roms whatsoever.
hope this helps.
And as far as the two comparisons/choice, I go with CM7. I am currently running nightly 38 without a single problem. From what I have been reading, there are too many bugs running around miui. However, I really like the way customizing is set up for miui. you can overlap themes and lockscreens. I think i might give miui a try when it becomes a bit more stable. Maybe flash miui and then flash nightly 50's CM7. haha.
MIUI <3 Way better customizations and i believe android is all about customizations
Which ROM for the HTC One offers the most customization as far as changing UI colors and setting up color themes goes?
Sense/GE/whatever base doesn't really matter, I'll switch to whatever.
Currently using Trickdroid 8.0... its ok, but I'm wondering if there's another ROM that offers more.
Any links would be appreciated
There are many universal themes in the theme section. Look there. Also, this question belonged in the q&a do expect it to be moved. Happy surfing

Dam some people are lazy..all the info you need is in the op's..go lookin
Right now, ViperOne ROM offers most tweaks and mods to play with.. Never tried it, but as far as other devices go, little can stand up to this team on customisations... go have fun.

ViperOne ROM is the Best customizable ROM for HTC One, you can change almost everything
If you're ok with ir not working (yet) and a little bit inferior camera, then revolt, rootbox are extremely customizable. Add in your launcher of choice (nova for me) and you're good to go. Things like halo, pie, ribbons, nav bar, nav ring, hybrid per app settings, lock screen widgets, etc make these, in my opinion, the most customizable roms.

Is there any mods to use AOSP style multitasking? I would just try an AOSP rom but i'm a bit worried about the bricking problems.

I think there are some ROMs with that as an option, but I'm not sure which ones off the top of my head. Check the OPs.
swapps
theres an App called Swapps that allows you to kind of do the whole multitasking thing, check it out i believe its in the play store and i used it on my E3D and actually liked it a lot and just havent actually re installed it. check it out and let us know what you think.
Hey there,
This has probably been answered before. so a simple redirect would be ok.
I love the stock look of the N7000 (menu buttons and locker) but all of the 4,3 roms have the Nexus menu buttons and app locker suck. I find those horrible to use.
First question... what would it be called (kinda nooby when it comes to launchers and such).... Are they called AOSP or AOKP or something.. or is it completely different.
Are there any roms which look like the stock rom.. but with enhanced features with the new 4.3 features?
Thanks in advance.
Ricky
aosp, aokp, cm, miui are just rom types.
By saying menu buttons you mean the whole look of an interface. You mean You want this stock 4.1.2 samsung blue stuff?
Because if this is what You want you may want to download samsung theme for cm from the google play.

I'm using PA myself and it allows for nice customization when it comes to looks. Have you tried that? There are also a few fun launchers that might solve your cosmetic issue. Is it mostly the new DPI settings you're having trouble with? Or just the general art style of Android?

I haven't tried PA yet. Next on the list.
I am looking for a stock icons/colour scheme, the apps logo not to look like the nexus variation of droid. Just me being an oldschool stock visuals.

I'm currently running Lungo ROM (android 4.0.4) because it's light.
If You are searching for more functions use PA, or the best "Jellybam".
That's the best ROM ever, but it uses a LOOOOT of memory.
I'm looking for as basic of an AOSP rom as posssible. Dev is full of AOKP roms that are all the same just different names. I dont want hovering crap, fancy notifications tweaks and colors, pretty nav bar buttons, just basic AOSP and I'll change what I want myself with GravityBox in Xposed if I feel the need....
