Lollipop compatibility issues?

Hey all,
So it's almost been 24 hours with the edge. All in all I love the phone. The design, and build quality are finally on par with what you would expect from a flagship device. Anyway, my problem seems to be a few quirks that I've noticed while trying to set up my new phone similarly to my s4.
So I use Nova Launcher because of the flexibility it offers me in it's features and customization. One of my more commonly used features is the gestures , with swiping down specifically set to expand my notifications. I don't seem to be able to use this feature at all with the edge and I'm wondering if this is a Touchwiz feature that is overriding nova?
The other problem I immediately noticed was that there was no longer an option for direct dial or direct message which I used all of the time! If there is anyone that may use nova with an edge that could help me out or maybe just verify that would be great.
Thanks all!

Direct dial works for me, but not the gesture associated with pulling down notifications - I'm having exactly the same issue you are with that. Just about all the other gestures work, but not for notification bar. I've tried doing other gestures to get the notification bar to pull down, but none of them work. Was a good feature I liked with Nova, but this is more of an issue with Nova that you / we can address with them directly I believe.
Yeah, my bad I should clarify that upon importing my nova settings to the new phone, my direct dial and direct message both worked but I was unable to add any new contacts with this feature.
I accidentally deleted my wife's direct message and had to import again to get it working properly.
You're right to contact the developers directly. Probably a feature that just needs tweaked for the next update. Thanks for helping me verify this though!

I am using the Nova Launcher Beta app and both features are working on the Galaxy S6 Edge. It asks for Accesibility permission to be able to Expand the Notifications but after you grant the permissions it works as expected. I also added a Contact shortcut to the Launcher correctly.
Hold tight for Nova to update the regular app or join the Beta program to enjoy those features now. I have not found anything bad with the Beta so far.

That's great!
Signed up, and downloaded the beta in a matter of minutes! As you said I was prompted to accept the ability to expand notification and now I feel like my phone is complete!
Thanks Pito!

How do you disable multi window on the S6?

As you can see I did search this topic...can't even find an answer on google. Which worries me...
Often, I'll swipe down from the notification bar which turns the app I'm viewing, if capable, into a multi window view. This is incredibly annoying. Coming from the Note 4, there was a quick toggle (or in settings) to turn this off. I can not seem to find how to turn this function off with the S6. Any help out there?
I was just going to post the same question How the hell do you turn off that annoying multi view crap?
I wanna know this as well and how do I turn off the lightof the back and the cent button also?

I mean the back button and recent button, it lights up as soon as you touch the screen, there was an option to turn this off in S5.

I think I saw some settings for it in "/data/data/<settings provider, whatever its called>/ <blah>.db" (can't remember the exact name). So if you have root and sqlLite Editor you might try looking there

then click on Data
Then click Data Aagin
Then Click com.android.providers.settings
then click Databases
CLick Settings
Click System

I do have root...so this will take remove the multi window? Considering we just got twrp I may just wait for a custom ROM lol
I found the new MultiWindow gesture pretty annoying. On my S6 every time I swept down on the notification bar using one hand I'd always create a floating window. On other Galaxy devices there is a Quick Toggle to turn the MultiWindow feature off/on. The ability to control the feature is still in the S6 however it is not exposed in the user interface. I wrote a small application that can either enable/disable MultiWindow or bring back the MultiWindow Quick Toggle. It was primarily written for the Galaxy S6 however it should work on most of the devices that include Samsung's MultiWindow. Look for "MultiWindow Toggle for Samsung" on the Play Store.

[Q] Hide Quick settings on lock screen

As the title says, is there any way to hide certain or all quick settings from the notification tab, when the device is locked?
I am rooted on stock lollipop with multirom.
Little up for this thread.
I'm on marshmallow and I would like to find a way to disable the quick settings on lockscreen.
I found this on internet but I understand nothing.
Is it possible to port something like that to Marshmallow ? Or maybe something already exist ?
Thanks in advance for your answers

Remove add user icon from notification bar

Hello I have a galaxy tab s2 t810 running lollipop 5.1.1 It is rooted .I want to remove the add user icon from the notification bar. When the screen is locked anybody can pull down the notification bar click on users and then create a new user by clicking on add user. I want to remove only the add user icon please point me in the right direction. I have looked in settings under lock screen and there is no option to turn this off. Thanks
Tejal
Agreed
Wow, I can't believe there is still no information anywhere about this. I would really like to know the answer as well. I imagine a lot of people are the sole users of their devices and do not want anyone who picks up their device to be able to create a new account, change settings and download apps. I encrypt my devices and know my information is secure but if I want to add a user I can do it from the settings once I'm logged in. I would love the ability to remove the option from the lock screen. I just don't get whoever thought this was a good idea but apparently most people either don't mind, don't care or as I suspect, don't realize it's there. This option should be available for unrooted devices as well.
Check this out. Maybe this is what you need.

I did that and it worked but there is still the icon for 'setting' in the lockscreen pulldown and clicking on it bypass the lockscreen. Can I get rid of that icon too?
I updated to tab s2 to nougat. I was expecting the add user option could be customised to disable it completely but it is still the same.
I want to remove add guest and add user completely from the notification. How do I make this happen ?

Hi !
Still looking for a solution on this one. Any body successful ? It feels so helpless when some one can simply open your device using add user in notification !

Here, ?
fw.max_users=1
fw.show_multiuserui=0
Click to collapse
This goes to end of build.prop (if not already added)
This disables addition/changing of user from settings app/status bar.
Please hit "Thanks" below ?

Do i need my phone to be rooted??

reply option in notifications

I was wondering if there is a way to enable quick reply (or just relpy) option in notifications. I found out some apps that do not work (emui 4). If I am not mistaken this is exclusive feature of Nougat.
Does enyone know of an Xposed module, settings, third party app or anything that that can help?
Thanks in advance
