I just got this phone which I intend to use on at&t for now, and I'd like to unlock asap to start enjoying it but I've never done the online vendor unlock route. Can anyone suggest reliable sites? I'd do it tonight. Thanks guys

I've unlocked several phones and I always use cellunlocker.net You can actually talk.with them on the phone and no problems with refunds. I unlocked my note 4 for AT&T.

Well I purchased it at 9pm central time and I think they were closed. I called them the next day and when I called I had it in a few minutes. Actually about 17hrs but really just minutes since I called. I seen some people got there pretty fast and I didn't. If you don't get it by noon tomorrow I would call. I think they open at 10am central time.

My phone seems unlocked now, just seems slow downloading on 4g and I get that ER05 invalid sim on wifi-calling. Anyway around that?

Go to your dial pad like you are making a call and click the 3 dot menu. Then click call and then scroll down and you will see WiFi calling. Turn that off. No WiFi calling on at&t network. Hit my thanks button if I was of help to you.

Yes it's locked. And there is a typo on the screen rejecting a different sim. Paid $25 and got an unlock code in 10 mins on day of launch last week.

I'm using a giffgaff sim in my O2-locked HD7. I guess any MVNO using the O2 network would probably work - dunno who that might be though!!

No its not possible at all. You will have to pay your phone bill.
Contrary in what you believe in, throughout all phone history, there has been only a few phones you can fool with the unlock codes, like the galaxy line, and really old nokias. Really !!!
Unlocks go around $13-17 on ebay, mine took 3 days so I was fairly dissapoint.

Well I know for a.fact you can unlock the HTC vivid among many other htcs without buying a code bungling an s-OFF and a little work... I'll look for a site with a faster turnaround time though I suppose

Call att and say you will be traveling to Europe and need it unlocked. They will give an unlock code for you

Trading my current phone for it tomorrow, will they not need something like "name of original buyer" or anything? Just IMEI?
Will try at any rate and hope for the best I don't mind paying 10-15$ but I dont feel like waiting 12-24 hours, I need to ready to use quickly

last time it was only free if you had the phone for half or one year
you'll have to persuade them if that happens
Tried Att trick didn't work they said must have phone for two years b4 unlocking so gott anymore ideas

I'm having hard days trying to unlock my Moto X by AT&T. I've got the phone almost a month ago and the problem is that I can't get the unlock code from any service, they just can't find it.
I made a few calls to AT&T and as I understood operators can't give unlock codes anymore. They asked me to go to att.com/deviceunlock to fill the unlock request form.
The form includes field called "Wireless number" and since I live in Russia I cannot provide any US number.
Is there a kind person who could get the code for me, filling the form with his wireless number (I can pay for that)?
Or maybe anyone knows another way to unlock the device?

Try out swiftunlock as they are legit and I have used them many times.
Sorry I cannot help you OP. I just hope I dont have any problems unlocking it once I get my Moto X

Unfortunately that was not me who got phone unlocked, that was a guy that bought from me. And it happened about 2 months ago, so that was not a very long wait

Just got mine today and I was wondering about getting it unlocked also. So, I used the t-mobile unlock app that was on the phone and just about passed out. LOL it said device is permentaly unlocked. i also checked on the t-mobile site with my t-mobile and when i checked the unlock status of the phone, it also said it was unlocked. i don't know why it worked but it did. haven't tried another sim card yet, but i bet it works. just saying,it doesn't hurt to try. worked for me.

Account is 10+ years , phone is payed off etc. Called 3 times , 3rd time they put in a request and will call me tomorrow. Fingers crossed
I didn't even have to call in with my S7E. Just tried a few times over 2 days and it was unlocked.

Unfortunately it is locked to T-Mobile and it is hard to unlock it by T-Mobile since I don't have any proof of purchase. I have been looking for unlock services but looks like nobody is really able to unlock the T-Mobile "Unlock App". Today I found this page which claims to be able to unlock the phone but I am not sure about it.

no, I sent them an email and they replayed about 24 hrs later saying they don't have service for T-Mobile by now. So far I have tried at least 5 different webpages with no luck by now.

yes my experience as well. i know a guy that can unlock it but i am not prepared to pay $120usd to unlock a phone. there must be a way to unlock that phone without going through all this. i am searching..
